Hi all!
Not a good start to April already spent a fortune over the weekend
found the local butchers sell a meat pack for £29.99(split between 2 so only £15 out of my budget) and it easily makes 15 meals for 2 people so bought this & a few bits from Sainsburys.
Went on a long walk with the dog yesterday & ended up steering into the local pub for 1/2 a lager was lovely but I'm tightening my belt for the rest of the month as I''m going on holiday soon for a week over easter!
A good point to add is I've lost a few extra pounds I was carrying due to watching what I spend on food is meaning I don't spend money on uneccessary choc/sweets/crisps & spend on a healthy balance diet instead so thanks!
GC march £80 budget/£1.67 left
GC April £80 budget/£54.50 left

This will be my first "official" grocery challenge - have been doing them in secret since last year but would like to do it properly now. Please put me down for £300. This is for 3 adults, 1 very fussy elderly cat, pond full of fish and various wild birds who visit my garden for a freebie. My month started last week with a basic ingredients on line shop at Tesco so have already spent £100. The remaining £200 starts today @ £50 a week for the next four weeks. This time last year I was spending over £500 per month on food but with the help of this website have cut it down by almost half.
Thank you :TI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Can i be put down for £40 please.
My first time, need to keep myself on straight and narrow - no buying breakfast and lunch on the day.0 -
With April being a 30 day month, I am going to go crazy wih my budget this month. Can I please be put down for £60 this month please? Wishful thinking I think....
This includes all food and any 'house' alcohol (not nights out), cleaning products and feeding the piggies. This doesn't include petrol! If I make this, I will be delighted. This is just this low for this month, to see how much I can actually cut down even more. Next month will probably be back up at around the 90-s, but hopefully with a better perspective of my budget.0 -
No worries MrsM, I know you do a sterling job with the GC.MRSMCAWBER wrote: »Hi Orkney....sorry

Good luck all of you and hope it helps you keep track of your spending!
Will no doubt see some of you around the boards.
