Well I made a real hash last month. Please can you put me down for £250 I have one less mouth to feed. And have now had to also go on to benefits so I just cannot afford to keep wasting money.! There are 6 of us.
Myself, two 20year olds, one 16years old, and two babies, 16 and 18months respectively. I usually buy the nappies etc but think the mums may need to get them themselves from now on!!

When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.
  • OK, I would like to join in this month. We really need to cut down on our spending. I am aiming for a total of £240 this month, this will include all food, cleaning stuff and pet care.

  • Hi there, I have dropped off the GC for several months but need to get back in methinks! Wasn't doing too badly as OH has been 'between jobs' for the past 5 months so had to cut costs. However, he now has a job temporarily but need to knuckle down and not go mad now we have a 2nd wage coming in again!
So can you put me down for £300 this month please Mrs McC!
I've already spent over half that but it includes all the nappies/household stuff and a large proportion (I hope) of the house alcohol. So fingers crossed.....

Just logged on to update my spends, looks a bit scary but we have friends coming for the weekend so had to shop at Asda, Sainsbury's and the Butchers so total looks bad but we are well and truly stocked up.;)

Have also meal planned for the next couple of weeks as the kids break up Friday and I want to be organised.:p

Planning to make some Lemon Butterfly cakes today from Delia Smith, had to buy a bag of lemons for a Lamb Tagine I'm making on Saturday so want to use up the Lemons I won't need.;)

Dinner tonight is MRSMC's Corned Beef Hash, only made it once before but it was yummy, hoping there will be some left over like last time and I will then make Pie for tomorrow's dinner.:D

Hope you all have a good day.;)

    Morning everyone

Not posted on April yet. Am raring to go tomorrow though. I've been awfully strict with myself and not spent since declaring on Saturday so that's effectively another 3 NSD for March for me:D

I had a £450 budget for my first ever challenge in March and, although slightly miffed to have used so much, I still came in under budget. So, this month I've set £400 for me, DH and DS aged 11. It's a lot compared to many of you but I look forward to watching how you all eat, live and spend in your worlds.

I wish you all well for April and here's hoping for more light bulb moments for me:T
