I've spent another £11 in Asda tonight but shouldn't need to get anything else before the weekend.
Have been sticking to the meal plan as well so that is helping, bu I have to stop buying things cos I really must get the upright freezer defrosted soon.
I had a look at the beef, pork and lamb in Asda - they are £3.97 kilo so prety good for leg of lamb and topside. I didn't buy any though as I have loads of stuff in.
Used up some tired looking pears in a sponge pud for tea, I also have a pile of raspberries in the freezer which are left from last years crop so I think it is use up time or they will still be there when the next lot ripen. I have quite a few seedlings on the windowledge now - the french beans are huge, so it will be time to pot on soon.
Keep up the good work everyone.0 -
Hi there,
Please can you put me down for £220 for April please? I failed March miserably;) So thought I'd up the budget by £20, as I'd stopped buying as much fruit, which seems daft, for the sake of a few more pounds.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Well, I went for my "big" shop of the month today. A massive £10.71. :rotfl: Before GC, it would at least have been £100. I went with a list, and realised I didn't NEED some of it so left it out the basket. So I'm feeling well chuffed with myself.
Have plenty in the cupboards & freezer, should hopefully will just go for the basics this month. My name is CherryPie and I'm addicted to grocery shopping!!

Hello everyone, could i be put down for £350.00 for April please. I failed miserably last month even managing to go overdrawn, im not at all pleased with myself. Managed to get loads of whoopsies at Mr T"s though, so hopefully i might do better this month as lots still in freezer. I just have to remember not to look at any more yellow bargains, im finding it too addictive
Good luck to everyone this month x

Hi, Haven't spent anything since last update. Hubby bought a mini shop at MR.A. but didn't count that because apart from milk, it was all stuff he wanted for himself. The right kind of bread, cheese, frozen garlic bread:eek: etc. Besides he paid. Also have ordered big online shop for 9th April which will not leave me much left, but I should only really need to top up with fruit. It's going to be tight, but I know next month my first online shop will be more fine tuned.:D She says. .Grocery challenge june £300/ £211-50.
Grocery challenge july £300/£134-85.0 -
I managed a NSD yesterday. I will need bread and milk today and I do need to do some baking. Meal plans are working out well. I foundout yeaterday that my SIL, her husband and 3 kids are coming for a long weekend at the end of May. My MIL and FIL are also coming over although they are staying with BIL. Bit of a disaster last night - ds2 and I ended up with a Chinese as ds1 slept through dinner and we kept wating for him etc. However to balance I found the receipt for the big shop I did on Sat and it was £19.09 less than I thought so have updated sig for both events - not as bad as I thought - phew!!! NO MORE TAKEAWAYS!!“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”
