Mrs M please could I change to £450 for April please? I've noticed that it's a 5 week month for me. Sorry for the faff :A :D
  • I'd like to join in too.
    Let's see - 2 adults, 1 cat, 1 dog...5 weeks
Could you put me down for £250 for April, to include food, toiletries, household and pet supplies?
OH is in a state of shock since finding out he's very old and a bit overweight according to my sister's WiiFit, so I'm on orders to reduce portion sizes anyway.

Had to go to MrT for dog food and some stuff for ds1 who has been ill all last night and today - didnt think that Cumberland sausage would sit well on a jippy tummy - so change to fish and some full fat Coke.

But I wandered around not buying so much stuff because I kept thinking of the GC, having to update my sig and how much food we already had in - and only spent £13.73. Long may this last!!

Can I join please? I've been trying to cut down for a couple of months but don't really know how much I spend, so this would be very useful to make me more aware. I'll go for £200 please, for 2 adults and a 2 year old, does this seem ok? I'm preggers too so need extra food :rotfl:

Can you put me down for £50 a week? 2 adults and 2 primary school aged children, but it`s easter holidays next week help.

My plan is to go back to just cash, too much popping here and there with Mr debit card in my pursue.

Did sort of well today, popped into Aldi and spent £9.94, took a £10 note with me.

Planning a storecupbard/freezer challange as well, on a diet and need to get rid of stuff-have an eat up.

Current spends now stands at £204.12 for April - which, considering we're not even in April yet is not great!!:rotfl: Went to Mr M today as I had the day off - normally do a Mr T internet shop, but fancied a change. Got some good deals and did replace all the family toothbrushes (came to about £8-9:eek: ) plus I've hidden away some BOGOFs etc for lunchboxes (otherwise DH & Kids will have polished them off by the end of the week:rolleyes: )

So...have £195.88 left for the rest of April...mmm....not sure I'll manage it...we'll have to see.

    Good luck to everyone else:T

i got a fairly big box of surf for £3 which seemed quite cheap...i got 2 boxes as our washing machine is always on...i didnt really see any other bargains in asda ...oh i did see joints of meat pork beef lamb cheapish per kg...i suspect for Easter...i havent decided what im cooking yet so i didnt get anything...have to think about that

for anyone who likes baking i got a bag of choc eggs in tesco called micro eggs...very small choc mini eggs...i put on top crispy cakes and they looked nice....im planning to make some more for Good Friday tea...got to get my hm hot x buns sorted out as well

  • Hi All!

Realised I'd forgotten to get low fat spread (for all the packed lunch sandwiches I'll be making) and mouthwash in the big shop the other day.

Checked out price of mouthwash in Superdrug and cheapest I could find was about £1.60 (funny - I always think of Superdrug as being quite cheap). Was pleased to find some in Lidl for 57p and spread for 59p.

One of the things I bought in Morrisons on Sunday was own brand low fat salad cream - it is disgusting! A really funny texture - sort of like very runny scrambled egg and tastes very strongly of artificial sweetener. Not sure if it's off or just not very nice! All other own brand/value stuff excellent though.

I am cancelling my gym membership, so walked home from work (about 3 1/2 miles) which saved £1.65 train fare. Quite enjoy walking when it's nice and sunny like today.

    All best

Okay, I've given at lot of thought to this month's budget. I'm going to stop including catfood and litter, as they are expenses I have no control over as such - the moggies have to eat.

So I'm going to go for £75 please for April please, Mrs M. It's a 5 week month for me.

Good luck everyone! Off to try and catch up with the thread...
