havent had time to read the whole thread yet but sound sound like a few people are off on holiday. Hopegettin a better nights sleep has refeshed you some what P-P. Will cantch up later off to work now.

Had a lovely lie in until 9am this morning. DS got up around 8am and, bless him, played on his Playstation for an hour with the sound turned down and the door shut, so that he didn't wake us up. Such consideration, and he's only 7. Bless!

Hubby has forgiven me for the sausage drought last night - his way of apology was to quiz me on how I cook rice "because I do it so much better than he does". :laugh: :rolleyes:

Brokenwings : I had to read that twice .. Miami .. Balcony .. in labour .. :laugh: .. before my befuddled brain could even halfway make sense of it all. Lucky you and good luck to the new Mum! Isn't it amazing how soon you come to almost rely on the boost you get from coming here. Such good energy.

Oooh, another birthday! Happy Birthday VickyA!! Here's wishing you enough of everything you might need, in the year to come.

Right, better go and haul DS out of the bath, he's turning into a prune in there. He and DH are off to the town when they're ready - so I can run around with my microfibre cloths in glorious peace and with gay abandon. Ooooh, I know how to live!!! :rotfl:

Can you hear anything .... ah the sound of silence, wonderful!

DH has taken DD out for the morning (Waitrose then Wacky Warehouse), for me to have a lie in .... just watched an episode of ER, now it's time to contemplate what to do for maximum effect of doing nothing ....

Problem is I always feel it's such a waste not to do anything on the rare occasion I have time to myself. Hmmm.

OS Wise today: dunno really. Washing all done yesterday and currently drying on airers. Big pile of ironing that I think I shall carry on ignoring. S'pose I ought to figure out something for dinner. That's about my limit for today.

Need to do a tip run at some point, but that may wait until tomorrow or another day.

B - Cuppa and then I guess when I can crawl out of this comfy warm bed a bowl of cereal.
L - ??
D - ??

Shall I just catch another couple of zzzzz's .... yawn.

I'm v jealous of all you that are going or gone on holiday or having trips out. I'm doing abit of housework today and then taking a bag of baby stuff to the local women refuge office. While I'm in town I'll have alook round the market and charity shops, also DH shoes need to go to the cobblers to see if they are fixable, not holding my breath as the sole is coming away from the upper. Also I'm completely out of sweet treats so need to make some cakes or biscuits later, will have a skim through the index to see what takes my fancy when I've posted here.

The only other thing of note is I havent used the dryer for a week now apart from once for some nappies very proud of myself and its been easier than I thought. Need to get thinking of my next challenge for March.

Good Morning Everyone. Hugs to everyone in need, Catowen hope your mouth starts to feel better soon. Hope you enjoyed your day Funkyfairy.

Plan on doing next to nothing today, well apart from the usual washing, baking, cooking etc. DS2 is feeling much better, thankgoodness, but want him to rest up, hopefully he'll be fit for school on monday. Hoping for a no spend day but DD is planning on meeting her friends in town so am expecting to hear " mum, please can I have........"

DH at work until 7.30pm but is hoping to come home for an hour at teatime for spaghetti bolognese.

Following on from the No supermarket thread, I'm writing a shopping list and seeing if I can avoid one this month, as DS2 suffers allergies and only eats certain dairyfree spreads, milk etc it might not be possible.

Trying to clear up here today - there isnt too much to do so hopefully wont take too long!!! Kids have their animals to clean out so they will be busy for a bit and i have a kitchen cupboard clearout to do.

Hello everybody,

Happy Birthday VickyA I hope everyone is well & hugs who aren't. I hope you get a nice holiday in Miami Brokenwings. I made the chocolate blancmange today. Turned out lovely. I also made the marmalade. I simmered it for twice the time it said but I think it will still be a bit runny. It tasted nice though. I'll have to rename it marmawater:D.

Yesterday the real estate put our house in the paper again & blow me dead we got some people around this morning to view it. They have bought it.:eek: We will know in a week this time if it goes through so will pray it does this time. Such a pain all this is. My grandson & his Mummy (ES partner) have been visiting for the last 2 weeks. He's 1 on wednesday. I'm making him a gingerbread man cake, but making it chocolate. They go back on Thursday. Granny is loving having them here but with work etc, Granny has been tired at night.They came to Mass with me tonight. He was pretty good really. I shall post a piccie of him when I download the newest off my camera. Well I better go. Hope you all enjoy your saturday. Has the Commonweath Games been broadcast over there? I've been watching a bit of it. Quite like the men's gymastics. Catch ya later.

Brokenwings - Living it up in Miami? I think we'll have to take your old style stripes off you at this rate

DH has driven down to Torquay and bless him he rang me as soon as he got there to let me know he was safe. Todays concert will net him a cool £150, good job as we have found out his dentist has put his prices up so DH's dental work will cost £40 more than originally quoted.

I'm still trying to think of more ways to cut costs and throw more money at the bills, I want to be debt free by the end of this year. I've already told DH that we have enough gadgets to sink a ship and there is no way he is buying more this year. Mothers Day presents and cards already bought, just have to post one this week.

My hips are still giving me grief so I am just pottering around today doing what I can. I'm sure all this cold damp weather is not helping

Afternoon all!

IVE GOT A WEEK OFF! YIPPEE!!! I can do al the O/S things ive been meaning to do for ages and im really pleased. O/S starts tomorrow though - tonight is boyf's gig and as 'head groupie' ive got a lot of logistics to get organised today, I have to leave the house in an hour to start getting equiptment over here. It was a late night last night - didnt get home till 3.30am so had a lovely lie in today and intend to wash the dishes, take a quick shower and go out, then come back and make pizza - which reminds me - I must make dough now!
