Well I did my first 27 fling boogie yesterday and both munch and I can now walk through the dinning room without fear of losing a limb or other injuries which is very nice. I can also get to my desk which I have half cleared (I'm not going over board and ending up with a crash and burn situ) so I am writing this from my clearish desk on my brand new computer!!!
My dinner lady book came today and I've had an email from the library to say that peckish but poor is ready for me to collect, tie this up with the fact that DH is out working tonight at a St paddy's night gig and you can easily guess what I'm doing tonight!! I've had a quick flick through dinner lady and it looks really good so I'll spend this eveining planning some of next months meals ready for my shopping budget which starts on Monday.
I put munch's highchair on free cycle last night as she is now eating at the table with us and its just sat here taking up space so someone is coming to pick it up tonight...well chuffed!
Went to bible study this morning and it was really good and nice to finally get back into it. Thats about it, I've got to go into town now and mystery shop one of my favourite shops *big grin* so I'm currently deciding what to buy, think I'll get some ice pop molds ready for the summer but not sure whatelse will it be practical or a word I can't spell which looks a bit like frivilas lol....

When DD was tiny I got a book from the library "Feed your Family for £15 a Week" by Bernadine ?????(surname might have been Lawrence). Don't know if it's still around, but it had some OS style tips in, such as baking your own bread.0 -

Oh dear, I'm in trouble with DH. :rotfl:
I made Cowboy Beans with Sausages for tea tonight (and we eat ridiculously early, in my opinion, at around 4pm - 6pm would do me better!). Pre-SC, I made them in a casserole dish in the oven and today was my first go at making them in the SC. I had petitioned for Kabanos sausage to go with them, but DH insisted that as we'd spent the money on a tub of smoked sweet paprika, that's what I should be using instead. ~sigh~ Never mind that Kabanos has a whole lot of other flavours riding along with it, or that two sausages from a pack of four would leave two for another day, etc etc.
So, he arrives in the kitchen and inspects the contents of the SC for a sneak preview. "Bit runny, innit?" ~sigh~ Yes, I know - that's why the lid is off and its up on high, to reduce the gravy a bit. Anyway, its not supposed to have a thick sauce, its supposed to be loose. (DH likes everything to be thick enough to stand your spoon up in).
So, I cook the rice and serve up. I can always tell when DH isn't happy - and although he's eating it, he's inspecting it and turning bits over to look underneath. I'm happy as Larry with mine - as is DS, who is tucking in. I notice that the sausages (which are cut into pieces) are a bit soft and enquire whether they're too soft for him. He's terribly picky about things being too soft and vomit-inducing, or too hard for his poor delicate jaws to contend with. (Basically, if its not a pint of cider, its already on a hiding to nothing). Apparently they're okay. So, right about now I stop caring.
He's eaten his sausages and the bacon pieces and mixed everything else up into a heap, like a petulant child. I swear, he never grew up. Eventually, he stops eating and takes his plate to the kitchen. I can't resist. "Beans too hard?" I enquire. Too many of them, apparently. This from the man who eats baked beans for breakfast and lunch.
Then we have it ... "and I'm sure I only got two sausages". :rotfl:  See, I told you - he never grew up.
He just went into the kitchen to see whether I'm keeping some to freeze for another day. I am - he's not pleased. All those lovely sausages that he could have had and didn't. Excuse me, while I :rotfl: a bit more.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -

Hello everyone
I've had the laziest St Paddy's day ever. Sat here on MSE for ages chatting to my friend in Italy. Finally got myself dressed and went to that farmer's market....it wasn't that good. I used to go to one in Woking when I lived in England - worked nearby - and that was so good, in fact I didn't realise how good it was until far too blummin' late!
The town centre was v.busy with lots of men wearing green shaggy wigs and/or ginger shaggy false beards. They looked so silly. And there was some Irish dancing and live music and just your usual jigging about like us Irish are famous for.
I'm home now, will have a wee drinkie later. I will be sober for tomorrow though...a Mr Painter and Decorator is coming on Monday, and I have to go and buy buckets of paint for him. He's doing the entire inside of the house bar the front room and 1 bedroom. It's going to be so expensive, but I am v.sick of the sight of bare plaster.
PoshPaws - how you resisted giving the other two sausages to the dog I will never know...would have been worth it to see the look on OH's face. Sorry but I can't resist winding huffy men up!
Bye all, see you tomorrow.

Had a lovely day with my friend, we have decided that she really does need a laptop and not a desktop computer, so now have to sort out one for her and a provider. We aslo had a look at a new house for her, she is desparate to move from the village she is in........instruction on the laptop, demo of my sewing machine and a go on my desk top, visit to Tesco for shopping and home.
OH had fish and chips in the oven when I got back and a large glass of wine poured out........yummy, friend bought us fresh cream donuts for dessert, so I am stuffed, sitting here watching TV and drinking coffee.
So pleased you are getting your stair lift PP......((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))
to those who need them.............
