    8_9_23.gifHappy St Patricks Day.

    Hiya everybody,

I have just got home. I'm so tired tonight, will have a quick surf and me thinks I will hit the sack. Just picked up some great specials from shop tonight. Mainly bakery lines. Bread & rolls were going out at 50c. I had to fight my way through the other cheap skates :D to bag a few.

Sorry to hear about your loss ASG. I totally understand, my Mum died nearly 2 months ago and it has been hard. Things get worse before they get better but you'll get there. I'm making some sweet orange marmalade tomorrow & a chocolate blancmange. DD's fav. I also hope to catch up on some spreadsheets & budgeting. I hope you all enjoy your day. Byeeeeee.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    morning all
so sorry to hear of your dad, ASG. hope your'e coping ok.

my oh has today off work to spend in the pub celebrating st patrick's day..... and no, not one tiny bit of irish blood in him! i'm not really looking forward to driving down for the weekend and arriving at the pub 9 hours after he has!!! at least it's not my money being spent :)

i'm also feeling pretty smug because i ordered some wine from tesco.com last night - 12 bottles cost £50, but i had a voucher for 1,200 points if i bought 12 bottles, which is £48 in deals!! So 12 bottles of wine for £2 is pretty good in my book!

bets get back to work, want to get out of here as early as possible (or rather, don't want to have to stay here too late!)

Quote: "Top o' the morning to ye..." and may I add "and the rest o' the day to yeself" to all those celebrating. HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY :hello:

Condolences to you ASG on the loss of your dad. Not a lot we can say to help, just want you to know that others are thinking of you at this time.

Happy Birthday :bdaycake: to Thriftlady's DD too - not every day you're 6 is it!

Nothing much happening in the 138 household today. Still battling away with writing out the crochet pattern for the "Weasley" sleeves I designed. They should be finished by the weekend, and then hopefully they'll sell for a small fortune and I won't need to be quite so thrifty (I promise not to forget all you poor people when I'm rich and famous) :D I've also had a couple of orders for other crafts, so I'm now on a deadline.

Am able to walk slightly better today, so might try to vacuum later to relieve Justin of some of the chores around here. I'm going to be really honest, and tell you that I'm sort of "jealous" when I read about your days. I'd love to get out and about and meet others - you lot are my lifeline to the outside world, and sad as it may seem, I'm actually starting to see you as friends! Ah well, I've an excellent hubby, and a wonderful life with our cats, so I'm not really complaining.

BIG HUGS to those that want one today,
    Jo (Justin's OH)

Just made some apricot slices. They taste just like the ones i buy from morrisons.

I have made them so that DD's school can sell them tomorrow at there easter fair but i might just have to keep them.

I will have to mark the Organic apricot slices as i used organic ingredients they might get more money.

Happy St Paddy's Day, one and all!

After a slow start, due to the necessity of watching the ENTIRE Treacle People DVD .. .. (which DH is proverbially "made up" with), we got our individual acts together and DH made some Lime Curd (which is totally gorgeous and I shall have on top of my porridge in the morning). So far, I've cooked off some steak mince (60p reduced in Tesco) to freeze for pizza toppings, made a HUGE Banana & Chocolate Cake (using the 3 OAP Bananas we had left over from a bag of 10 for 20p because they were battered and bruised), half for this weekend, half for the freezer ... and put together some Cowboy Beans & Sausages in the SC. ~phew~ From the look of the quantity, I'm hoping I'll be able to serve half tonight and freeze half, which would be marvellous. :D

Somehow or another, in the middle of all that, I managed to dust and box up into an empty ice cream tub (had ice cream for pud last night) all my Essential Oils. They were living on top of my computer workstation - and the dust up there is terrifying. I can see that's my next job after lunch! :o Oh yes, and as I passed through the bathroom, I gave the sink a quick once-over. (I'd cleaned the toilet first thing this a.m.) Gee, Anthea would be proud of me. Well, right up until she looked on top of my computer workstation, that is. ;)

Oh dear, I haven't even taken today's Mobile Memory List out of the notebook yet - I'll have to see how far behind I am on today's targets! ~peek~ Wayhaay - seven items struck off already. :D
Mind you, I can't use the WM at the moment as its chucking out sparks when it spins .. so the laundry basket is starting to look like the North Face of the Eiger. That'll be fun, on Monday, after the man has been!

Right, better go and tackle these dishes. Have a great day, one and all.

ASG : so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad. You have my sympathies.

B : Lime marmalade on speckly bread
L : Leftover mince & onion pie from last night
D : Cowboy beans & sausages with rice
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

ASG sorry to hear your sad news (((hugs)))
    Happy Birthday Thriftladys' DD
Catowen hope you feel better soon.

I missed the St Patricks day celebration at school as I was on Playgroup rota with youngest DS.

Not much happening here today, waiting until DS1 and DD come home from school before the WM goes on, there is sure to be lots of PE kit.

Homemade Pizza for tea so need to get the BM on for the dough. Will need to do some baking either today or tomorrow as the cake tins are empty, I will need to look in the cupboards to see whats left in there, this months challenge ends on Thursday for me and my purse is just about empty, I have an emergency fund but don't want to use it.

Enjoy the rest of the day.

    Hi All

happy st paddy's day to you all.

Not something we celebrate particularly here, but as i work in a company with a call centre based in Derry, you can't help but want to join in!

I don't normally log on during the day, but its so quiet here at work today that I figured I may as well, and see what you are all up to.

Not an OS day at all so far (too tired last night to make today's lunch so bought it here at work) andbeing sat at a computer all day doesn't exactly help the cause any, but hey.

Anyway, hugs to all who need them, and I hope you all enjoy the spirit of the day.
