Huge hugs Frey - I felt very guilty posting about my little problems after that.
Math -what a shock that must have been - although I bet your friend is looking down and laughing his socks off at you having to attend his funeral twice
TM - your day sounds rather like mine - want to join me in a bottle of wine?
Tomorrow is manic so you will probably not see me until late, DH is in court in the morning, I have to take the oldies shopping and then whizz back to take DS to an appointment with Adolescent Services to see if we can get some help with him. I don't know whether I am going to be back in time to get DD yet, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I shall retire shortly and try and catch up on these posts tomorrow - children, mothers and other commitments allowing0 -

!!HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY!!Well, I know lots of you won't really be in the jovial mood today being English, Scots, Welsh or Aussie, but it's only once a year so I am employing the use of green and taking this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful St Patrick's Day anyway.
I am having an Old Style day off work today - it's a bank holiday in N.Ireland, though not 100% observed at least my employers have the grace to close the office so we can all get battered. Not that I am going drinking, one glass of wine and I am anybody's. There is a special Farmer's Market on today in honour of the occasion, so I'm taking myself off there. There is also a parade in town, lots of Irish dancers, loud music and all that sort of thing. They do take it very seriously where I live.
Old Style in my little world isn't really happening these days. I can't be bothered cooking properly - there is quite a collection of sad looking veggies in the fridge. I'll try and convert them into soup later on as I am not so far gone that I throw food out. My meals seem to be mostly breakfast cereal or toast. (Note to self: kick own bottom and find way out of this rut). I suppose I'll have to do a bit of housework at some point too. My kitties forced me to tidy my "office" up yesterday - they helpfully decided to push a few bits and pieces off my desk including my pen holder. They also emptied the bin. Naughty kitties!
I know there are lots of you out there having a bit of a miserable time. Hugs to all of you, hope it gets better soon.
Bye everyone.

morning snowy  happy St. Patricks Day.
OS has gone to pot here as well...although I did manage to cook sheperds pie for myself and some friends on wednesday (the sheperd was difficult to catch tho). Will try and get back into the swing of things next week though.
Currently still awake, trying to write essay on the effects of acid mine drainage on river biota on Wales (yaaaaawn, it really is as boring as it sounds)....get this done quick, hand it in 9ish, trip to the library and the uni accommodation office to hand books and forms in respectively, lecture 10-11, then sleeeep!
Have a good day everyone, hugs to anyone who needs them

'Morning SnowyOwl, 'morning hostar, 'morning everyone :hello:
The specials farmers market sounds as though it could be lovely SnowyOwl- I love this sort of thing. Lots of little free samples to taste
Holstar, I know exactly how you feel. Been there, done that. I once got an A grade for an essay I wrote through the night with the help of half a bottle of wine.
A boring day at work today, but it at least is Friday and tomorrow is THE WEEKEND! Popping down to see my daughter at Uni tonight, so I need to pop into the shops for a bag of food to take with me before I go.
The sausage thread has got me drooling this morning, so I'm going to take out a pack of sausages from the freezer this morning and make sausage casserole for dinner tonight. They are farmers market sausages and taste lovely on their own but I need to be a bit more adventurous.
Have a lovely OS day everyone!Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -

Happy St. Patricks day and Happy Birthday to Thriftyladys DD, hope the party goes well.
Up bright and early today DD was up most of the night coughing and had a high temprature.
I am ment to be at work all day today but it looks like DD needs another day in bed i will see what she is like in a hour.
Not much planned for today need to sort out the clean washing i have just been plieing it up in the corner of the bathroom.
I went to the Dr last night and had my coil taken out and i have a lot of pain now. I also asked her to look at my ears and throte as they have been sore for 3 weeks and i have been coughing lots. She told me that i am so run down and that i need to take better care of myself. She also said do i really need to work
I am getting excited about tomorrow i am going to the ideal home exerbition with you dad.
Anyhow hugs to all0 -
moring all
just a quickie from me today as i have to leave the house early - am off to spend a couple of days away - not really wanting to go right now but know ill enjoy it once i get there - i am just in a phase where other peoples 'cooking' for me - ie plopping a ready meal or take away on my lap - just leaves something lacking. how ungrateful is that?
anyway the good news is that the garage gave my car the all clear yesterday - seems the problem that made the warning light come on was temporary and even if it does recurr it wont create a huge problem or breakdown.
will be back on sunday afternoon but need to paint the last bit of the kitchen - ie the fiddly woodwork and windw frames before i spend too much time on line.
hope you all have a happy and healthy, enjoyable and full of love weekend
