Just popped on quickly, and must say, Freya, our prayers are with you.
Im about to toddle back off to the hospital, difficult tooth to get out, but they managed it in the end, problem is, it hasnt stopped bleeding (thanks to my ITP i expect) so will have to see what they can do as its been nearly 4 hours now!!!! Hope everyone is ok, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Afternoon

Had a quiet day and managed to have a good talk with OH and smooth out a few worries...nothing serious, but now we've spoken its a better atmosphere...LOL.

Watched 2 episodes of Prison Break (thanks smokey!!) and desperate housewives from last night. Lazy boring day really. Also did some more reading for my course.

Waiting for Asda delivery and used £10 voucher off a £40 shop:D and have stocked up on store cupboard items, frozen, fridge stuff and fresh fruit/veg. Have spent £35 inc delivery, so not too bad.

When DD comes in, think OH is going to make some cakes with her and Fork biccies for her lunch box and the weekend. My sister last week did a lovely tin cake with icing on top and cut into squares...so like sponge squares with thickish icing on top....delish! The ingredients were dead cheap and easy too and you make in a roasting large deepish tray, makes about 30 squares;) Will post the recipe later as I have to check with sis on exact quantities IYKWIM. Fork biccies are dead easy and taste like shortbread and dirt cheap too.

The left over chicken may now become a curry with rice and not a pie:confused: will see what DD wants when she gets in. DW will go on after dinner and clothes are nearly dry on airer. OH has wiped tops of units in kitchen with vinegar/water, then put down newspaper (anthea style) so we can just replace paper every 6 weeks or so:T its a very good idea.

Anyway, best go and love to all. Hugs to Freya and MATH especially...thinking about you both.

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Purpleprincess. Hugs to everyone else. Catowen, hope you feel better soon.

Out of bed at 1 p.m after another very rough night and morning. Spoke to hubby on msn, and he agrees I needed to rest, so I don't feel too bad about it. Can't walk again today, so vacuuming/housework will have to wait till he comes home. Keeping myself occupied by learning about ozone generating machines, and STILL typing up the crochet pattern for the "Weasley" sleeves I designed. No brekkie, no lunch - not feeling up to eating, so that's a saving ;) No doubt he'll insist I eat dinner when he cooks it tonight - bless him, he's :A (said it before I know).

Looking forward to a better day tomorrow :)
:grouphug: to all you lovely OS'ers

    Afternoon all

((hugs)) to Frey and MATH. Haven't had time to read the rest of the thread properly so hope I haven't missed anything vital.

Well, today turned into a bit of a disaster. Spent a cold hour waiting in the hospital car park for mum (whose appt should have been 15 mins) DS2 was asleep in the back so not worth going anywhere. Mum then decided to treat us to lunch you :j However, what I had was horrible (I seemed to end up with something I didn't want ) Then, to cap it all, DS2 made a strange noise so I went to take him to the loos - but shall we just say it was like a scene from 'The excorcist' :( Thing was - I was crouching down at his level when he 'exploded' Thanks heavens the cafe wasn't too busy :o Then on the drive home (via the dry cleaners :)) mum decided she didn't feel well either :(

Got home and pc had a major wobbly. Ended up uninstalling the isp and reinstalling - and now it's lost all 'my favourites' :( I had 100's of websites, all categorised and now they've all gone - boo hoo.

To cap it all, I made a bol sauce for tea - easier with sick littlies and asked Mr TM to cook the spaghetti. He's just come up and told me to help.I said @I pnly asked you to do 1 thing' ie put the complete tea on the table, and he said 'I have - I cooked the pasta. Can you come and put it put?' How difficult is it to out 1) spaghetti on the plate and 2) put sauce over the top? Grrrrrrrr

I have no appetite at the moment - don't feel ill, just don't feel like eating IYKWIM. Got a clingy 3yo sitting on my knee - so best sort out some kiddies websites in a folder - so they can play them later.

    See ya later peeps :)

    Evening.

I feel bad for whinging now as some of you have far worse to deal with.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend MATH. I bet that was weird all of you at the church waiting. It must have been a confusing set of instructions.

Freya - hugs for you and your family. Hopefully it won't be too painful for the old boy. I really feel it for you.

Catowen - hope you have stopped bleeding. My mums like that when she has teeth out. It's rubbish isn't it.

I've been up the hospital today again for my speech therapy. I think my car could probably get there by itself as i've had so many medical appointments recently. The best bit is i have sussed out an overspill car park where you can park for free, so a saving of £2 per visit. That's good OS.

Me and DH went out for a meal last night. We just went to the local wacky warehouse pub where you get 2 meals for the price of one, so not too expensive, and gave us chance to chill out and have a bit of a chat. It helped. We are going to try to schedule in some nice things to do that are cheap/free to help with my depression.

DH was happy cos we got a bike rack that he wanted from ebay for £75 instead of £160. He needs it for the cycling weekend he is going on in June, so it was good to get it sorted.

We have agreed to start making some lists about what we need to do in the house and what we need to buy for 'Pudding', so that i can lose my groundhog day feeling.

Should go and start peeling the veg for tea so i can then sit in peace and watch home and away before DH gets in from work.

Thanks for your support when i was down yesterday. I appreciated it.

Take a look in Documents and Settings, then for your username, and there is a favourites folder there. You might just need to import them back into IE using the favourites menu.

TM, sounds like you need one of those cuppa soups that gives ya a big hug or one of those choccy drinks that makes your armchair grow all big 'n' comfy, sorry you've had such a rotten day. I think you are very brave serving bolognaise when there a sickie bug about:eek: I'd have opted for something the same colour as my carpets LOL:D I hope that's the end of the up-chicking for you.

I've had my car tax renewal through today and have realised that they don't remind you to get an MOT done when your car hits its third birthday. Mine should have been done last September (I found out today):o I had such high hopes for that paid2click cheque I cashed this morning as well:mad: Oh well, one fott foreward and all that.

Next week looks like it's going to be uber busy with the 'real' funeral to attend. Parents evening x 3. Two MATHLETTS auditioning for leads in 'Pied Piper', My car to MOT and tax plus all the usual odds, sods, no-one else will do's and other tasks I call life. So in preparation, once I get to the coast tomorrow I'm doing nada, nuttin, nowt. The family MATH can form a human chain to keep me fed on Dime Bars to build my strength up until Sunday.

Off to do 'words' and 'shared reading' with mini MATHLETT. The school books are sooooo boreing nowadays. Come back Janet and John at least they went to the fair and the seaside. LOL

    Evening all

Specially to PurplePrincess...happy birthday. You got loads of lovely presents you lucky thing...but do spend a little bit of that money on yourself, even if it's just a few pounds to buy a nice eye shadow, nail varnish, CD or something small like that for a lasting treat.

Frey, I'm really sorry to hear about your grandad. It is such a shock when such things happen. I hope he doesn't suffer.

Everyone else...well general hugs to everyone going through turbulent times. I'm gritting my teeth and reminding myself that summer is getting closer with every passing grotty day of winter.

Tomorrow is St Patrick's Day...yippee!! It's a day off work as my office is closed (it's a bank holiday here in N.Ireland but a lot of other businesses open anyway as not everyone wants to celebrate the occasion).

Gotta go, have a good evening.
