right off to clear my living room of junk otherwise people will think its a charity shop im living in

    have a nice day everyone

Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
Our thoughts are ever with you,Though you have passed away. And those who loved you dearly,
    Are thinking of you today.

    Morning all

It's cold but sunny here - just stopped snowing, although there's none to speak of on the ground.

DS1 packed off to school, having managed to find a pair of matching gloves :) He's got a fruit and jelly in his lunchbox, so I'll wait to see whether it made it to lunch-time in once piece :D

Got to take mum to her hospital appts later this morning then she needs to go into town. So, another 50 mile round trip (and the hospital is 4 miles from me :() Will try to remember to get that staple gun when I'm in town, so I can ferret around the bottom of my sofa later and put it all back together again :D Other than that - no idea what I'll get chance to do today. It depends whether mum stays for tea or whether she wants to go home before I have to do the school run.

That chicken pie sounds nice. I was contemplating whether to do one with the remains of last night's chicken anyway - you may have spurredme on - will have to buy a tin of soup though..... hang on, last time I just made a white sauce with veggies in it and the kids liked ot, so there ya go, saved another 50 p :rotfl:

    B: porridge
L: who knows - probably in town with mum
D: Chicken pie, jackets and veg?

Have a good day one and all.

    Morning OS'ers.
I haven't posted for ages on the daily thread, been too busy having my house turned upside down. I've decided that workmen are like buses, you can't get a joiner or plumber for love or money (preferably love) and then suddenly three come at once. Anyway we now have a lovely big radiator in the kitchen to replace the little one which was neither use nor ornament. We have a new kitchen door, only been waiting 15 months for the joiner. And we almost have a new laminate floor in the bedroom. Just a shame the shop didn't send enough laminate. Have to wait until Monday for that to be finished. Today the new bed is supposed to be coming and at least I can get some stuff back into the cupboards. Also the council should come to collect the old bed base, and another council department to collect the matress for recycling.
Amongst all that my hairdresser should be here to give me a trim.
Yesterday I went to the breast screening clinic, ouch! the joys of being a larger lady. Today I can hardly move because my back is bad after being dragged into position for the x-ray.
I went to Lidl yesterday and saw some packets of bread mix, while I was looking a woman came and took one, she said she bought it regularly and it was good, so I got a pack of multigrain. It's gorgeous, but the best bit is the price, 79p for a pack which makes 2 big loaves. They had a few different types, rye and rustic brown etc. It was over the freezers where the fish is,not with the flour.
MrW is giving me the evil eye, he wants me to start getting the stuff into the cupboards so I must go and be dynamic, not.
Dinner today is meatballs in tomato sauce with, I haven't decided yet. Forgot to say I was up in the night being sick. My own fault, I made meat and potato pie last night and it was so gorgeous I pigged out a bit and my stomach revolted. Serves me right lol, I don't normally eat pastry.
Have agood day all, and PP........REST.

Cat - Hugs good luck I hope everything goes well at the hospital today and I'm so sorry to hear about all your friends problems I hope she can come out of hospital soon.

    Hugs to everyone. :)

Well I didn't end up going to bed early. I was still fretting (sp?) from the disaster of trying to reconsile my bank account to my budget for last month so I sat down and worked out next months budget which starts on Monday. After doing that I found that I actually have £80 spare after bills and stuff. I'm still about £80 short for the money for my new computer which should be arriving today :) but I will try to do some extra book keeping to earn the cash (theres plenty to do). So if that £80 is spare I'm going to sort out DH passport ready for his trip to Uganda and what ever money is left will be put into the Ing account to make up for the money that didn't go in last month so I feel a bit more positive today.

Things to do today: After this I'm doing the ironing then hopefully the rest of my ebay cheques will arrive in the post, the parcels are wrapped with a space at the top to put the packing slip in them so I can post them off and do my banking. I have a mystery job at one of my favourite stores today so will do that after pc comes. Other jobs are to tidy dinning room so that DH can set up my computer when he comes home tonight if its not to late.

Right I best get off have a lovely day everyone. :)

B - Cereal me - munch banana and raisins.
L - Sandwich or toast (HM Bread).

    Morning Everyone

    Happy Birthday Purplegirl Uk

    Hugs to everyone

I have to start by telling you how wonderful my husband is he has not smoked for the last week which is just fantastic, hes had a 20 aday habit since his early teens and hes 30 now. Last month I gave him the cash to go and buy his cigs in one go and it concentrated the mind somewhat. I've told him that like one of the poster on here (sorry cant remember who) he can keep the saved money for the 1st month and after that it will go in the pot to save for a summer holiday.

Got a busy day today, WM is on with bedding in, going to do the food shop in abit also got to go argos to get a new airer as FIL does not seem to want to let me take the one from there house. This afternoon I'm going to make Banana and Choc muffins, I'm also going to rearrange dd bedroom so that she can access her toys easier in her room. Hopefully this mean that I will be able to take the playpen down in the living room and make room for a dinning table.

    Have a good day everyone

What a lovely thread! Just found you and there are loads of ideas (and inspiration!) in your posts! Thank you for that alone. I may even attempt to sell something on EBay - it just looks so daunting and I heard that a college (in Peterborough??) was doing a day course on EBay!! Bit far for me to travel though, so would appreciate your tips on how I get started?

Anyone doing anything special (OS of course) for St PAtrick's day meal tomorrow?

I have made veggie lasagne for tonight - topping is two cans of macaroni cheese, whizzed in liquidiser adn contents are the bits going off in the veg drawer......, padded out with some frozen peas.

Will look for the HM pizza recipe - presume it is in an earlier thread? Sounds de-lish.

Breakfast - brown bread and butter (weakness)
lunch - something off the sandwich van (poor planning - unhealthy and expensive)
dinner - aforementioned, plus some rhubarb sweated up with some brown sugar

Washing done last night, OH due home tonight (works away during the week), so looking forward to that - but have offered to do babysitting for sis in law, so we will pass on the threshold no doubt. He may come with me, but having just travelled x hundred miles, the kids might be too much. They get sooooo excited to see UncleIan, that it is prob not best for them either!!

look forward to joining in the posts when I can and thanks again for all your inspiration!!

    Morning all

jw - congratulations on your excellent review!

Yesterday was absolutely exhausting. The majority of the school went to London to see The Lion King. Now, I have nothing wrong with them being on a coach but they went into ultra "never seen anything like it, so I'll play up" mode. In the theatre, they were relatively well behaved, but it was a nightmare trying to keep the little ones sitting down (Year 3 and 4) as it was the first time most of them had been to the theatre. I'm still tired now!

I'm going round to jockettuk's house tonight to help her daughter with the preparation for SATs. Apparently she now loves learning, so I might get her in as a motivational speaker for my class. :D

When I got back in last night, OH had got the pasta on as we were going to have pasta with sauce................ however, when we opened the "sauce" that had defrosted we found that it was actually soup! Having had an exhausting day, I decided that we'd go and get fish and chips. Very naughty, but very tasty. Needless to say, we're having soup tonight! Maybe I'll have to give in and buy sticky labels from Lakeland. What a trauma :D

    See you folks later
