~Posh takes what's left of her oomph in both hands and wallops the Ides of March into a small dot of insignificance~

mm that explains my day too!
mad dash into town this morning , nail appointment was fine, found all my shopping more or less ok - lakeland and the cookshop love me now.
went to get a new battery in my watch - watch was not in handbag - its not at home either so ive either lost it or had it pinched - wasnt expensive but was of some emotional value. : (
went to hairdresser for a consultation - just a ten minute appointment - they kept me waiting 25 minutes without saying a word - so i left! grr
THEN i got in the car to drive home and my engine warning light stayed on and wouldnt go off. called the garage which is 20 mins awy in pershore and they said DONT DRIVE FAR - but they couldnt see me today so i do have to drive over to them tomorrow. i so hope its nothing major - the car is less than two years old and i need to drive the 110 mles to london on friday.
came home and made bread - nothing like kneading to vent your frustration eh? made a brown loaf and a white loaf, made a pineapple cobbler, black saturns malt loaf and nigellas horlicks/malteser cake.
All turned out well so i was in a better mood ----
UNTIL i came on here and found teh forum closed for maintenance ---- arghhhhh!
early night and a bottle of wine for me tonight i think : )0 -
aaaggh down for maintainance !!!
hope you are all well
justin138 - 19 cats - wow respect - my 3 = hairball city god knows what 19 equal
not much to say - fine tuned budget - need to find extra £1k in the next couple of months from somewherewhere dunno...but we'll get there
me = stressed = wine
Going to bed now - hard day mentally today at office and now at home - why when the 2nd in charge in our company goes in hols I get to make the decisions but get nowhere near the wages
hope everyone has a good night sleep
Take care

Nite nite all - remember tomorrow is another day - can only improve upon this one eh?
(Ever the optimist).
Our crew are spoilt brats, and fortunately rarely get furballs, but when Justin goes to work his colleagues tell him he's brought half a cat with him. Of course, he replies, 'gosh I'd better ring the wife and let her know'New clothes brush needed for the car I guess.
Took Fuschiaberry to the vet, and I want you ALL to cross your fingers/legs/eyes for her that it doesn't turn out to be cancerous. Thanks.
Knew today would be another typical Ides of March, as every year something awful happens in this household on that day. You don't want to know the history, let's just say I'm still fed up after 7 years of it.
Hugs all, sleep well tonight, hope you wake refreshed,

PP - Sorry you are having a pants time at the moment, it must be really difficult and I'm not surprised you loose it occasionally especially with 'Aunt Urma' visiting
I have had a pants kind of evening I'm afraid. I've been balancing my budget to my bank account and I was £112 down.  :wall: so I feel really pants right now. I'm not sure where it all went wrong although my tax credits have gone down £35 which I hadn't realised. I'm gutted because I have tried so hard. Thinking on the positive side it could be much worse if I had spent my normal shopping budget or gone over I would be another £35 down and I had tried to transfer my ebay money from last month into my Ing ac which was £49 but it didn't go through which has meant that money has stayed in my bank account so with those two things it means that instead of being almost £200 down I'm only £112 but I'm gutted because I wanted to pay off a bit of BGas and save towards munch's holiday. Still hey ho I've managed to move some money about so I will start next month/week with a clear balance which means a fresh start.
Unfortunately I've just gone through my mse budget to update a few things (mortgage rate runs out this month so it goes up £30 odd quid) plus the tax credits which is another £35 less so my new shopping targets which were meant to leave me spare cash to pay off BGas have now become a necessity and are no longer 'spare' cash to pay stuff off.:wall:
Okay I've whinned enough sorry everyone to unload it on you....off to treat myself to a bowl of cereal then an early night with the money diet book....I think the mortgage section will be getting some serious attention!!Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
Thank god the day is nearly over!! I am £70 poorer after having the boiler fixed. Turned out to be the gas valve in the end. Our lovely gas guy turned up in his lunchbreak to fix it for us. So at least we now have heat and hot water.
I've spent all day sorting out room out, then parents evening for DD, no surprises there, she is doing well at everything. I have sorted some of her old clothes out to stick on e-bay. Last year I bought loads of Barbie clothes really cheap and she has grown out of most of them but they are all in perfect condition. So I'm hoping to get a few pennies back, DH has promised to help me.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things
