Morning all
another busy day ahead for me - though its not easy to get motivated when you look out of the window and the grey and the gloom is it?
I have a list of things to do in worcester today - bank, haircut, nail place ( my only naughty in life these days but i have cut the cost in half ), cookshop/lakeland, post office to send off my ebay sales plus several more shopping odds and ends - - i am most excited about popping into savers to see if they have stardrops though! sad isnt it?
PP - oh dear what a drag! keep taking it easy and spoil yourself a bit today if you can.
snowyowl - the kitty seems to have adopted me morethan the other way around lol - yesterday she followed us down the fields when i walked my dog - last night at 11pm i heard her meow outside and there she was with a massive rat in her mouth so imho she is welcome to stay! she seems morethan comfy in the shed though - she is in an old puppy basket with a fake sheepskin lining and i have been spoiling her with corned beef and warmed milk : )
bless.
catowen - good luck for this afternoon and im sorry to hear about your friend. hugs to both. Can i just say though that hearing teh way you talk about your dd makes me remember when i was in my early teens, i used to drag myself out of bed in teh mornings ( winter especially) slump downstairs and sit in front of the real fire till my back almost burnt ( lol i still have mottles ) and wait for my mom to hand me my toast and tea - brings back nice memories and you sound like alovely mom.
well i think thats quite enough - i need to get moving - going to get the park and ride so i can avoid the rush hour traffic-
enjoy your day and hugs to people who cant sleep, have medical probs, or just feel the need.

OH has earache...so he's going to the doctors tonight. Looks like there is a spot in there, so hopefully should be easy to fix. To try and ease his pain last night I used up some eggs that were about to go out of date. Ended up with a single layer of a victoria sponge...laced with chocolate chunks, and a huge pile of muffins. Managed to get most of the muffins in the freezer before OH and I ate them all.
Tea today is a mystery, as it depends on when OH gets back from the doctors and what he feels like. Worst case it'll probably be fish and HM chips.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Just a quick one as I'm still in my PJ's and a friend is bringing her 3yo toplay with my DS2 after the school run. The intention is that he'll stay and she can have the day to herself as both boys are at pre-school in the afternoon. That's the plan anywayLuckily, my DS2 will happily go to her house on the alternatives weeks
Need to sort some clothes out for the boys - neighbour brought round some lovely trousers last night (her younger boy is about 2 inches taller than my elder, so I often get some fab 'cast-offs) Also, both aquariums are in desperate need of a clean. Will try and do that this afternoon.

Had a good sleep last night feel really refreshed today for a change.Busy day at work. Bought the local newspaper this morning (which I dont usually do) - as I was told that our local council are considering only emptying the wheelie bins once a fortnight - what an uproar that is causing.
OH nightshift again tonight - I will have to do budget/menu plan for the next couple of weeks/month - I do have a 12 week plan which I am trying to stick to also. Will need to clear out one of the kitchen cupboards which has all of my storage/freezer tubs in it - feel a large batch cooking coming at the weekend !!
Hope everyone has a lovely day
Take care

Morning everyone,
I think it will be a busy day for me today. I have a drs appointment at 4:15. I want to go to my parents house for a couple of hours. I could do with getting a couple of loads through the WM this morning as i don't think i'll be wanting to do much after the appointment.
I had a small falling out with DH last night, due to my hormones. I feel really needy at the moment, but i want to spend some time with him that is quality time. He's out of the house for 12 hours a day for work, and he's also worked the last three weekends. Our time is always interupted by calls from work colleagues, and he is often late home because they have made mistakes that he then has to sort out. I've been so tired by the time he gets in that we just sit and watch telly, often while he is on his laptop still doing work bits. I know i'm being a bit unfair as it is not his fault, but i want him to come in early enough for us to sit and talk or do something different. Life is so repetitive isn't it.
I now feel really mean as he is being really good at the moment, cooking all the tea as i feel sick when i look at the raw meat, and i'm moaning at him when it isn't his fault.
I hope its a bit better when i get back to work and i'll be a bit busier as well.
sorry for moaning. I'm a bit down today. I am hoping seeing the family and going to the drs will make me feel a bit better.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all,
Not a good day in the moggins household. The pilot light went out on the boiler last night and refuses to come back onIt's very cold here, I might just as well go out in the garden and dig, it would be a lot warmer. No hot water either so dyeing my hair today is out of the question. I'm hoping this doesn't mean a new boiler as we just can't afford that at the moment. We could have if DH hadn't insisted on a new PC instead
