    Morning all :grouphug:

What a weekend! Saturday I finished Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix, visited my nan (Played mother as my mum wasn't there and got complained at for the "state of the tea". Doesn't matter how often I make tea I always make it too milky for Dad & Nan  ) while there I gave my dad a carrier bag full of stuff for my mum and received 3 summer dresses and a multi-pack of ankle socks for DD for school :D Thats going to save me a fortune! We then has beans on toast for tea and I spent the rest of the night either reading "Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince" or watching CSI so I had a wonderfully lazy day for a change :j

Yesterday I more than made up for it though! We woke up to 4" of snow  OH took DD out to build a snowman in the yard while I washed dishes and put a wash load on. Then DD and I decluttered her room :D We had a BIG sort out of her toys and actually ended up just rearranging stuff and putting some clothing in the ebay/chairty pile as she had out grown it. We managed to juggle her built-in wardrobe so much that I was able to put all the craft & keep sake stuff in it. OH and I then brought her bookcase (where she was keeping toys) down along with all her books which gave her a bit more room and cleared another shelf in our room. I then emptied out her chest of drawers and managed to put everything in the wardrobe giving me a spare chest of drawers and DD more room in her room. The spare chest-of-drawers went in my room where the now almost empty shelving unit had been with all my stuff in. My old chest of drawers is now ready to be broken up and put in the bin as it is so full of mould everything that is put in it stinks and I have tried cleaning it up but with no luck. The shelving unit was brought downstairs into the kitchen for me to put my seedlings on along with recycling boxes etc.

After all the sorting out yesterday I have now got :
    • 3 bin bags of rubbish (stuff not suitable for charity/ebay)
    • 2 bin bags of ebay/charity stuff.
    • 1 set of chest of drawers to be broken up and binned.
    • 1 huge pile of washing consisting of bedding and clothing that has been stored ON TOP of the 2 loads of washing I had anyway from changing the beds/bath night!!!
I also rearranged DD's room a bit while OH cooked tea (Lasagne from the fridge which I'd assembled on Saturday night :D ). Proper springcleaning will commence once all the rooms have been decluttered and completed by the end of the month ;):D

    Todays plan:
    • More ebay listings once other jobs are done.
    • Washing as much as possible with all of it going on hangers/airer/airing cupboard with the heaters on almost full whack!
    • Dishes
    • Sort out ebay parcels to post
    • Money
    See you all later!

    Morning :hello:

Feel knackered and sort of queasy this morning - housemate said I look pale and washed out (I did get 7 hours sleep, so  - maybe it's hormonal?) Also we have a leak in the bathroom - it's one of the pipes attached to the water boiler. It's wrecked the water pressure so I didn't get a shower this morning. Methinks I will be spending tonight at my boyfriend's - housemate will be calling the plumber.

Lunch - reheated risotto - mushroom, red onion, green pepper and garlic, made with brown rice and Kallo organic stock - lovely stuff, I wish I'd discovered it before!

Need to do a meal plan for the rest of the week; I'm out a lot this week so not much opportunity to cook, but the freezer's jam-packed with chicken and fish and I've got some root veg in the drawer that needs using up. Can anybody tell me whether a swede & sweet potato mash would work as a topping for a chicken or fish pie? I MUST use up a lot of the stuff from the freezer before I succumb to temptation on ANY more reduced meat :o (I don't have a lot of freezer space - if you saw my kitchen pics on the kitchen pics thread, our freezer is the top half of the fridge freezer, and I have to share that with housemate).

Dinner will depend on whether I'm at home or boyfriend's, and whether I'm still feeling a bit rubbish.

johanne I hope the new job and travelling go well for you.

PP and catowen - good luck with all matters health related today. Also, who was it whose friend was having a brain scan today? Hope that goes well too.

    Rzl xx

  • Morning everybody! Hope we're all well.

Lovely sunshine here today, but very windy.

:grouphug: hugs to everyone that needs them

Breakfast was mini shredded wheat with milk and honey

Lunch will be butternut squash and red pepper soup with oatcakes and a yoghurt

Dinner will be turkey, mash potato and baked beans!

I've been getting really bad palpitations, this isn't good is it? I've got the doctors on Friday anyway, so might wait til then to talk to GP about it.

    Take care.

Morning everyone! Very cold here, and dd2 is still off school with a sickness bug.

Don't seem to have achieved very much this weekend, except for deciding to change the children to a cheaper drama club, dh saw how much this one was costing and nearly choked! Have ferried children around to parties and rehearsals, but did manage a trip to Bristol as ds wanted to go shopping (very odd!), so got some very cheap goodies in Boots!

Looks like lasagne and HM garlic bread tonight with salad, luckily stopped ds eating the "spare" one I'd made to freeze the other day! He was going to have it for his breakfast!

Just got back from my Tesco shop - spent £85   My budget is £50,what has gone wrong?I had a few extras for the dd's b'day party and I succumbed(sp?) to a couple of bogofs(pineapples, cantaloupes and nan bread)which weren't on my list, but we will eat them, and at least the fruit is good for us.This is what comes of not doing a meal plan :o A really frugal week next week I think.

Anyway I'd better put it all away.

Morning everyone, I am so happy today I could burst, I slept naturaly last night for the first time in 5 weeks, was getting quite desperate, i think the reflexology really helped.

Had a good old sort out yesterday, and with renewed energy today i am off to the Gym!

    Hi everyone

Am posting this while at work, which is v.v. naughty :D

pawpurrs, was interesting that you think the reflexology has helped you sleep. I recently qualified as a reflexologist myself and it's always good to hear people's feedback on their treatments - may be useful if I have a client myself that has trouble sleeping...

Anyhoo. Did 30 mins on the treadmill this morning before work and I looked like a lobster aftwerwards. It's not good for me all this exercise lark! ;)

    B: 60 grams muesli
L: slow cooker veggie casserole (and packet of square crisps)
D: not sure yet, maybe leftover broccoli pasta

Gotta shlep to the post office this afternoon - such a drag - book I sold on Amazon so mustn't complain too much!

Have a good day everyone x

I love going on holiday, but I hate the washing when I get home! Am just about to put in my 3rd load of the day, have got the heating on constant & various garments draped on radiators all over the house.
I need to go food shopping, but my car is in for a service, so can't go anywhere til I get it back.
My laptop has decided it's still on annual leave, as I can't get into outlook to deal with the emails I've received while I was away. I rang the helpdesk at 9.15, but no-one has got back to me yet
I might go have a quick whizz round the kitchen, remove most of the debris & then take a pic for the other thread. Currently it looks like an accident in a laundry basket!
  • morning all, big hugs to you all, not had time to read the thread, just nipped on at lunchtime at work. things are going ok this end. eeking out my money quite well, the snow def helped yesterday, didn't spend a penny all weekend. lol.
b - grapefruit and fruit salad for me, cereal for dd (she will eat them up from the cupboard, lol)
l - ravioli and yogurt for me, pack lunch dd
t - chips and beans for me (my fave) dd @ a birthday party.

managed to arrange for a friend to collect dd from school and take her to party, so a) i can work late and get extra hours work in, and b) save on petrol, no school trip, then home, then to party, only got to collect dd and friend from the party and drop friend off which is on my way anyways. worked quite well.

    have a top day everyone,

    love
