Afternoon all
Another 2 sacks of rubbish for DD1's room - she hordes paper! Have had a good sort out and her room is looking better already - need to fill a few holes and do some paint touching up tomorrow, then make cushions etc to give it a more grown up look!
We ended up having scrambled eggs and avacado rolls for brekkie - yummy they were too. Chicken's due out of the SC in a bit - veg is all cooking. Got some dough about to go in the oven to for rolls. 6 loads of washing done, 5 dry, one in the TD as we speak and DH is standing here doing the ironing whilst watching the rugby.
Will try and get a piccy of my kitchen for the other thread later - too much washing hanging about at the moment and however lovely my new undies might be - I'm not that keen to show them off to the lot of you!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

:rotfl: Aren't cats clever! One of mine is on the table beside me ATM - he likes to keep me company while I'm on the PC, plus it makes it more difficult to forget to feed him..... :rolleyes:0 -
Afternoon all
It's cold here, and we had a smidgen of snow earlier but that was it!
I went to Tesco as it opened this morning, so it wasn't too full. I made a complaint about the checkout boy who served me, though. He was just throwing stuff down the belt, and at the end after all my stuff had passed through the checkout and was all at the end waiting for me to pack it, he just sat there and did nothing - staring at me as if I was holding HIM up! Normally I can keep up quite happily. I marched over to Customer Services and made an official complaint. I remember when I didn't complain last time, Johanne said that I should have done, so I made sure I did it this time! The Customer Services lady said that she was very sorry, especially when it seemed so petty after I'd written it all down. She didn't make me feel stupid, which was good.
We've just got back from lunch with the in-laws. They treated us to an "All Day Breakfast" at a garden centre. Bless them. Saved us washing up or cooking, then again we probably spent the same in petrol!
Better go for now. OH is making his chilli for supper (yes, it was supposed to be yesterday, but he fell asleep!).

D'oh!! Stupid head (that'll be me), posted this in the wrong thread, so I'm copying it over and I've deleted the original (hopefully).
Anyway ... Hello all
Its a sunny Sunday here in Medway, albeit frippin' cold! We had a slow start to the day as its DH's 40th birthday on Tuesday and as we can't do a birthday breakfast on a school day, we started off today with a lie in until 8.30am (which is a major lie in for me, as I'm up at 5.30/6am ordinarily). We breakfasted on home bake Croissants from the local farm shop. I bought them for Christmas, but we were too stuffed to have them then! They are the ones where you get them out of the freezer the night before and leave them to prove overnight. We had them with h/m lemon curd and they were divine.
Since then, DH got a rush of blood to the head and decided to swap all the t.v.'s/dvd players/games consoles around so that everything could all be used all at once (I can't imagine in what circumstances we'd ever want to - but hey, it kept him busy for a couple of hours!).
I've managed to tick a few things off my mobile memory list and now the boys (DH and DS) have gone to Tesco for bread and milk, so I've got a quiet five minutes or so. Not much OS gone on today, but its been interesting to notice things like how much longer it is taking for rooms to get noticeably dusty now that I'm sticking to my vacuuming plan and dusting with the microfibres; how much cleaner the kitchen floor stays if I keep a damp mop by the dog door, ready for action against paw prints; how less guilty I feel about my responsibility towards the upkeep of the home, etc etc. Its proving to be most illuminating - its just a shame I didn't catch on to this earlier. Better late than never, hey?
Lots of love and hugs to all. Hope you're having a super Sunday.
B : Croissants, h/m lemon curd, filter coffee. (Aaah, the bliss!).
