Thanks for all the lovely comments...there very much apreciated!! Hugs to everyone!!
3rd washload on and yes, I have used the TD to dry the towels and DD/OH's swimming gear from friday. Have another load to do after this, then all caught up:D
Chicken is in SC and smells delish. OH has already done the mash, so will just need re-heating later and have bunged aload of veg in too so no extra veg to do later either:j Am hoping there will be enough to take tomorrow as I hate hospital food and their restaurant is disgusting. On a brighter note though, their hospital shop does proper instant Nescafe 200g jars for £1.99 instead of over £3 from the supermarket....think I will buy 5 as their dates have 2 years on them.
Floors have been swept downstairs and beds aired and made. DW nearly now full. Washing taken upstairs by OH & DD.
Must call about this bloomin stairlift in the morning as its becoming a right pain. Got up at 4 this morning needing a wee, managed to get downstairs in me t-shirt and knicks, then didnt have the energy to get back up them to bed. Didnt want to wake OH up, so luckily there was a blanket on the sofa and got under that. Tried to put the gas fire on and my hands are weak ATM so couldnt do it:mad: so annoying!! So OH wondered why I was on sofa in just me knicks this morning....think he thought his luck was in:eek: If my stairlift was in, I could have just gone back to bed. I know its all made, but need it in NOW!!
Anyway, got to go and finish helping DD complete her homework and watch casualty from last night with her.....lucky me!!
Take care all.

I'm in West Yorkshire too and the snow is still coming down pretty fast.
We were going to drive to the coast today, but that's not going to be happening. The only place I'll be going to is the supermarket to get some butter so I can do some baking.
House is all clean and tidy today as I did a huge blitz yesterday, so will be just having a relaxing day really and doing some baking.
Hope you're feeling better soon PP :AComping Challenge

im beginning to think peterborough is on another planet. no snow and when i went out the back to sort the recycling out didnt feel cold at all, is this the calm before the storm im asking myself.
my dd would love it to snow and have a snow day as the last snow day her school was one of a handful which opened. her headteacher travelled 30 miles to get to school so if he could make it so could we, fair comment but by the time the kids came home most of the snow had gone she wasnt happy lol.
im doing a bit of DIY all the little niggly bits that need sorting before i move house. keep having a clear out chucking furniture out thats had better days feels great taking it apart and chucking it out the bedroom windows lol. moving daughters bed from one room to another that way one room is empty better stay that way, by the time im finished the removal men will only need a small van,
right of now to hoover up her bedroom the mess one little hampster can make, keeps it up might find its way up my hoover hee hee..Those we love don't go away,They walk beside us every day,Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear

Morning all
(((hugs))) to PP and all others out ther feeling ill and under par.
Good to see you again Jo
Still in my PJ's but have been awake since 7. Had a late night last night - I blame Racyred and NelskiSo, a lovely lazy start - had toasted fruit teacakes and bananas for brekkie and even managed to read the paper
It's snowing here but at least it's coming straight down now - it was going sideways which meant that my car which is parked under a car port was covered in snow too. I was going to take DS1 into town and get him some new school shoes, but they may just have to wait. I think today will be spent armed with black bin liners in his roominstead. Bought him lots of new clothes yesterday so need to clear out his wardrobes (It's easy buying for kids - I walk in, find the appropriate aisle then walk along and just load up whatever I like that fits him. 10 items - 15 minutes - all sorted. George shops are so easy)
Need to hang up washing done overnight and there's bound to be some more to do. Will change DS1's bed while I'm at it. Ironing will be done tonight in front of tv. BM needs to go on in a while so I can make packed lunches tonight. Tea will be lamb chops, spuds and veg and I'll have a think about pud.
Ok - off for a shower and get dressed. Must remember to get chops out of the freezer soon along with some stock and I'll soak some more broth mix later and make a lovely 'stoop'. Will also unpack and repack DW soon - I like it when my kitchen is clean and clear, but I'm sure the boys will do their best to mess it up again
Catch ya all later - keep warm and hope there are some lovely snowmen built today

We must be on another planet in South Yorkshire, I've just hung the washing out, it's blowing lovely and the sun is shining although it is cold.
Sorry you haven't been well PP, hope the hospital visit goes well. I've been fighting a cold all week but it seems to be a bit better today.
I'm not doing much today, I've just pricked out my tomato seeds and after a sandwich for lunch I have a load of papers to sort out. The house is a bit of a mess just now, we're having a laminate floor laid in the spare bedroom so all the furniture has been moved and is now cluttering the rest of the place. We live in a bungalow and we tend to use the spare bedroom as another sitting room and the dog spends all day in there when it's sunny because it catches all the sun. I was fed up of trying to keep the carpet clean, so it's gone. The laminate will be easier to keep clean.
Have a nice day all and hugs to all who need them.0 -
Well snow is still coming thick and fast - the only movement outside are the kids playing in the snow - there is no traffic and the radio has just said that there will be no buses running into the housing schemes - only on main roads - so glad I dont need to go out.
OH got to work eventually - only 20mins late so not too bad - if he went the way I told him to in the first place he might have go there on time but he insisted on going his usual way first.
Have got some onion, carrot and peppers in fridge - might go and see what kind of soup I can come up with. Have left some marg softening so will make some oaty biscuits later. Armed with black bin bag - on a mission to empty drawers in sideboard in hall - I know for a fact that there are receipts from home deliveries in them (which was over 2yrs ago)
will do some tidying up them snuggle up on couch with fleecy jimjams and quilt - dad isnt coming down because of the weather - so will save some roast pork for him for tomorrow

Morning all (only just i know!);) but that Ticklemouse cant have chatter!! (did you win the comp hun?)
Hugs to you PP I hope your hospital visit this time will make life a bit easier for you
So my meal plan was rigidly stuck to last night:cool: and i went to Frankie and Bennys in Liverpool for a really lovely meal with a few friends. Today i will be heading down to the local for a roast no doubt - will be walking because its snowing like mad here. Having a surprise lazy day today because some work that i was due to start in Cardiff tomorrow has been postponed to next Monday so rather than a day packing and driving to Wales I am still in dressing gown drinking tea and deciding what roast to have at the pub!!
I think I may top off my lazy day now with a quick trip to pick up the Sunday papers ( do you think I really need to get dressed or would it be ok to nip to asda in PJs and dressing gown - mmm:D )
Hope you all have lovely Sundays and enjoy a day of rest xxx0 -
Afternoon all.
PP I'm really sorry to hear you have been so ill, I hope the days start to get better for you.
I've had the most luxurious lie in. I came downstairs at 7.50 to use the loo to find the kids already up and dressed. DS was taking DD outdoors to play in the snow. So I found her warmest coat and fur lined boots for her and went back to bedDH got up to keep an eye on them and warm them up when they came back in and told me to stay in bed, he brought me a cup of coffee too
I think he really appreciated all the hard work I'd put in yesterday for his orchestra coming to tea.
Luckily the snow has melted here now as he is driving down to the Forest for another rehearsal. He's promised to ring me when he starts for home so I don't worry too much. I only have to iron one shirt for school tomorrow as I did a bulk load last week, sort something out for tea and bath DD. so I can have a nice relaxing day today.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Afternoon all.
Hugs PP hope it goes ok at the hospital tomorrow.
Only been up for an hour as DH got up with the muchkin this morning. She has now gone back to bed for an hour but not before giving herself a black eye falling off the sofa when DH was supposed to be watching her  . All washing has been dryed on the airer and radiators apart from the nappies which are having 1/2 hour in the dryer to finish them off.
Going to tackle the ironing in a minute and watch the end of the grand prix. DH has gone to help a friends parents with there pc so hopefully they might give him a nice bottle of wine for his trouble as the snow is about 6 inches deep here. Sis has not arrived home from Liverpool yet she was on a night out last night and staying at a friends in the city center so I'm guessing the trains arent running. All in all it lovely and quiet here.
Brunch: Bacon and cream cheese bagels
Tea: Roast chicken
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
I love this thread & love to join in, but often feel I have nothing useful to say! No snow here in Berkshire, hubby is glued to the GP & the air is being rent by a stream of abuse whenever one of the drivers makes a mistake.
WM is on & I've washed all my bras & tights by hand, everything is drying on the rads. Lodgers rooms are changed & cleaned. Am doing pork chops & roasties for lunch & may make some stoop & some chicken pies whilst I'm in the kitchen. Also need to clean out the fridge sweep the floors.
Hugs & blessings to all.
