HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO RACY RED!!!
My day is full of the joys of spring. After a lengthy argy bargy with a coucil supervisor, I found i was being charged for my old lodgings for a period i never lived there, and the problem has occured as although i changed my details, it seems no one has changed the names on the council tax there, but paid the bill using the one thats come in my name and they are putting it to me in writing that I owe them NOTHING and that they are going to investigate.
the world seems a great place today, and i want to say a big thanks to evberyone for there kind thoughts yesterday, and for encouraging me to get on to them and demand it gets sorted.
b fruit salad,
l jack pot & beans
t pasta and veggies
1st load is in the wm, dd came home covered in mud last night from falling in the playground, so i needed to put it on. done a shopping list for my trip tonight, only has apples, pears and bananas and grapefruit on it, i have pretty much everything else i need, and i am waiting to see what they have reduced.
everyone have a top day,
thanks

Happy birthday RacyRed!!!!!! :bdaycake:
Kiwichick - best of luck for today - sorry you didn't pass your test - there's always next time (when hopefully your life may be a little less stressful!)
Good morning to everyone else!!!!!!!!
Kids actually slept thru the night last night, for the 1st time in about a week! However, since finding out I'm pregnant - I seem to be waking around 5am regardless:mad:
The boys are playing nicely in DS1's room, all washed and ready for school/nursery. I'm ready for work, just need to have some breakfast - I think it'll be weetabix today!
Packed lunches are done and have a load of washing (surprise surprise) to put on before I leave the house at 8.30am!
Work today til 5pm, DH collects the kids today and does dinner!! It's bliss - no mad dash out of work, trying to get to nursery/school club on time and then getting home to do dinner!!!!
Anyhow...hope you all have a fab Friday!! I'll catch up when at work later...am trying not to use the computer in the evenings at home, as I'm always exhausted by then!!!! Really need to start having some early nights!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Sorry about your driving test Kiwi, better luck next time.
Moggins I hope your ds is OK,what a terrible thing to happen.
Mossy, your slug story has made me feel queasy
Brummiebabe, belated congrats by the way - are you hoping for a girl? I was desperate for a girl all the way through my 3rd pregnancy (after 2 boys). She was a girl!!,but believe me boys are much, much easier
Another quiet day ahead for me.Quick trip to Tesco for wine, cream and a few other bits. Some beds to make, washing to do (of course).
See you later :wave:0 -
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACYRED you are but a baby yet!
Kiwichick Good Luck with the removal men. BTW keep hold of your handbag, mine once got packed and I had to borrow a tenner from the removal men to get petrol!
Mossy Sorry you are feeling so poorly, I am sure meeting the slug didn't help
Nelski Have happy times with your SC :rotfl:
Queenie I love Fridays too, :j Enjoy yours.
Chipps Hope you don't get lost, I once spent a very long time on the M25 trying to find the right turn off. Definitely not fun.
woas :j that is great news. well done for getting it sorted. To think they could have just had you paying up.
Brummiebabe I remember my sleep being haywire when pregnant. Not what you need when you have work and another little one to look after as well as growing another brummiebabelet, so hope you do get an earlier night tonight.
Having bad dreams at the moment and waking early, think I am worrrying about DH's cancer coming back or that maybe it hasn't gone away. I push the thoughts away in the daytime but I think they creep in at night. He is off to the hospital to have his chemo infusion removed. It was put in on Wednesday and he absolutely hates it.Anyone who has chemo has my wholehearted admiration as it is certainly not an easy thing to do.
Got DS rugby kit to wash in a bucket before it can go into the washing machine. Will put jeans from the airer for a quick tumble to decrease as I don't iron them. Looks like things could go on the line today so I will also wash the kids bedlinen and some towels.
DD has her Internet schoolwork and as I am saving petrol I won't be going anywhere except to pick DS up form another rugby practice. No doubt I will be getting the bucket out again!
Off to see a matinee of My Fair Lady tomorrow (free tickets) and rugby on Sunday.
Breakfast HM Hot Cross Bun Loaf (without the cross!)
Lunch Beef Soupy Stew and HM bread
Tea Cheesy Leek Gratin containing hard boiled eggs with saute potatoes and salad.
Hope you all have a lovely day whatever you are up to.0 -

Chipps wrote:We got our first organic fruit & veg box from the milkman this morning. Now I am looking for things to do with celeriac! DH took one look at it & pulled a "what-on-earth-is-that-do-you-expect-me-to-eat-it?" sort of expression, so I have to find something really good to do with it! QUOTE]
Spiced root soup.
2 tbsp sunflower oil
2 onions sliced
2 parsnips chopped
4 carrots chopped
1 celeriac about 600g chopped
2 med pototoes
2 tbsp korma curry paste
3 pints veg stock
500g carton greek yogurt
brunch of coriander roughly chopped
heat oil in large pan, slowly fry onions after 7 mins stir in all veg and mix well.
stir in curry paste and coat all veg, stri in the stock, bring to the boil, stir, cover and simmer for 20 mins or untill veg are soft. puree in food processor then rerturn to soup pan.
To finish reheat the soup when ready to serve. stir in half the yogurt, taste and season, serve each person with a spoonful of yogurt in the middle and a sprinkle of coriander leaves.
Got this from good food magazine about 4 years ago and it's my fav dinner party starter.

Right I'm slowly but surely catching up with yesterdays thread:
WOAS - So far you're all fired up ready for a fight I hope you win it chick!!! WOO HOO just read your post today!!! How chuffin rude of them oww that makes me so cross giving you a hard time and bullying you when all along it was their fault and it turns out that it was even more of a mess up and their fault than we all expected!!! Good for you sticking to your guns and getting it sorted, in a funny way its a good job you didn't have the money spare otherwise you would have probably paid the bill even though you shouldn't. I'm so pleased its sorted out I hope you get their letter to confirm it all very quickly.
VickyA - Sorry to hear about your dad I hope hes out of hospital again soon.
Michelle - Sorry to hear morning sickness has set in....I can still remember it now very clearly two years on!!! I hope you are feeling well other than that and well done for going to the hospital on your own.
Freyaluck - Can you have some of my energy....energy what energy....I must have given you some grand impression of an immaculate house and well entertain child lol. I hope you've managed to sort out your boxes for moving...men can be a pain in the wass at times I guess its a biege job as there called in my house: Pink jobs - me, Blue jobs - DH, Beige jobs - jobs that should be a blue job and done by DH but wont be so I'll have to do them lol.
Moggins - I've just read what happened yesterday thats awful you both must be so upset. I hope the police take it seriously and do something about it.
Kiwichick - Sorry to hear you didn't pass your test but in fairness you've got so much on at the moment it probably didn't help.
Poshpaws - Slugs they are so bloomin horrid aren't they, glad you finally have a slug free home. Our house is better than it used to be now we having heating (until 3 years ago just had a coal fire in front room so house was very cold and damp), I've lost count how many times I've trod on a slug in the middle of the night barefoot!!! I'm sure they used to have slug orggies or something as sometimes I would go down for a drink at night and there would be about 20 slugs crawling all over my kitchen floor....YUCK!!!
Queenie - Staying on the subject of slugs it has got a lot better since having our new kitchen fitted but our builder didn't really understand the concept of sealing every hole so I have told DH that there is a blue job i.e sealing everywhere to do as soon as poss. which will probably be sometime next year lol. They seem to get in all over the place, I'm amazed at the small gaps they can squeeze their slimey bodies through.
Chipps - Enjoy your bible study tonight, I've decided not to go this morning as I feel really rough which is a shame as I did really want to go but hey hum, I went to a different one yesterday so at least I managed to get to something.
Skintmama - Hugs I hope it goes well for your DH today.
Right I bet all that lots takes up a page so I should probably stop soon. Today I've decided to take it easy, munch has already played dressing up and was in her pink and gray pjs with a pink fairy outfit over the top of it and a pink feather bower bless. We've got a few birthdays coming up and mothers day so we might have a crafty day and make cards etc in the front room. I would like to pop to the library today but we'll have to see how it goes. My friend had a really cool birthday card spiral binder book/folder thingy I want one of those!!!
DH has been working for the last three weekends but is off this weekend so we should be spending it as family time however I suspect he is coming down with this cold.
B - Cereal for me - Strawberries, grapes and raisins for munch.
L - Sandwich
D - Out at a pizza place for tea.
sorry for my misuse of the english language but my brain is mush and so I've made loads of mistakes.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -

The BM is on so sandwiches etc can be made, feels very odd not having to think about what we are having for tea!
Went a friends last night for a fondu night... All I can taste this morning is flamin cheese!! we had a pot of warm cheese and bread to dip in and some salad... with feta cheese in. and roast pots! pud was a pot of chocolate with marshmellows and strawberrys to dip in, lots of wine and we put the world to rights! Think I may have put a stone on in a night!
