A very good morning to you all. I hope you've all slept like the proverbial baby and have woken refreshed and re-energised.:bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACYRED:bdaycake:
I have been awake for the last hour cleaning out the kitchen cupboards(it seems I also hoard flour) so now the worktop has two distinct piles on it.One for storage, one for us. I do feel lost though, I hardly ever use my oven now but seeing as the moving men took my BM, my SC and my baby george on wednesday I'll have to start using it more
The moving guys will be here at 8am and dh has physio at 8.15 so it will be just me and the kids here.
Right, I'm off for one last long browse before the family wake. Hopefully I'll be back before long.
Thanks for all your support guys, you really helped me out the last few weeks.
Lots of love and hugs,

Morning everyone
I am feeling very poorly at the moment so I haven't had a chance to catch up on yesterdays thread....I'll read it later but in the meantime hugs to everyone that needed one yesterday or does today. Special hug to Moggins, I haven't read about what happened yet but it sounds like you definately deserve a hug. :grouphug:
:bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACY!!!! 30 hey I'll make no sarcy comment as I'm 30 in November lol.
KiwiChick - Good luck chick, I'll be thinking of you over the next couple of weeks, take care of yourself.
Well I'm not sure what is going to happen today, was supposed to be bible study (a different one from yesterday) *mossy goes off to polish halo :A :rotfl: * and then the library but I'm not sure how I'm going to feel today so will play it by ear. Oh lordly just remembered I've got a mystery job for tea tonight  will have to drug up on stuff to get me through it, I haven't read the scenario yet I hope its not too complex.
Nothing much else to say really....oh I tell you what I'll just share something that happened to me yesterday.
I was cleaning near the bin as us OSers do and noticed what looked like a date stuck inbetween the cupboard and bin so I try to get it out...still wondering what it is as we don't eat dates so decide it must be a rogue grape that has gone funny...so I'm poking it trying to get it loose when the 'date/grape' starts to move and it turns out that it is in fact a big fat slimey slug    so I'm stood by the sink scrubing my hand trying not to throw up and wondering if it was possible to amputate my finger  its making my finger feel funny now just recalling the story. :rotfl:  :rotfl:
Have a great day everyone. :jSaving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -
Sadly I woke up at 2am and couldn't get back to sleep, so I've reconciled my bank account, done some laundry and prep for tonight's meal, and just been outside to do a spot of weeding and admiring my growing bulbs. Not planning on spending any money today whatsoever; taking lunch into work with me.The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

Morning all ... and happy birthday, RacyRed, whichever one it is!! :bdaycake:
Kiwichick : good luck, lass! Just keep repeating the mantra "it'll be lovely when its over .. it'll be lovely when its over".
Oh, Mossy, your slug story had my skin crawling!! I am completely with you on the amputating your finger thing!! lol We used to have a slug problem at our previous house. Thank gawd, this one seems to be immune.
Well, top of my mobile memory list today seems to be cooking, cooking and more cooking .. which could easily be an avoidance technique to put off having to work out next month's money. I guess when everything is cooking, I might find a minute or two to get the calculator out.
Have a great day, one and all.

Morning everyone,
Its nice to post first thing in the morning instead, of last thing at night normally. Hope you have a nice birthday, RacyRed, and good luck with your house moving Kiwichick. I've been making myself a list of things I need to do today. Must post parcel, get shopping and sort out my DS.
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all
((((Kiwichick)))) - sorry to hear your didnt pass - better luck next time. You must have a lot of mixed emotions today - take care and I hope all goes well with the move
happy Birthday RacyRed - hope you have a good one
Frey - kick his a$$ over the boxes -moving house is expensive and stressful enough without the added hassle
Moggins - hopw you DS is OK - did the police turn up
Mossy - hope you feel better later - I remember once we had slugs come in through an air brick next to the WM - god I hate them - IIRC I put a whole tub of salt in the area and they havent been back since
Short day at work today - collecting kids after school today and they stay overnight - nothing planned this weekend - no money but might go for a walk
Finally bank returned money for DD they took in error last week - but noone has phoned me - that really annoys me - will give them till COB today then a stiff letter is in order.
DW has been emptied and filled again
B- cereal
l - tuna/ sweetcorn/mayo wraps
d - spag bol
Hugs to everyone
Take care all

:bdaycake::beer: Happy Birthday, RacyRed  :bdaycake:
(have the cake an hour or two *before* absailing and then have the beers after)
Nels - hope you don't get back ache carrying your SC around everywhere
kiwi - (((hugs))) Commiserations on yesterday's testAt least it's given you some more practise on the "test" experience, which is never a bad thing. Good luck today and take good care of yourself - looking forward to hearing all about your exploits when are able to get back with us.
mossy - get well soon! Sounds like you need rest. As for the slug, follow his slime trail and try and find where he's getting in - his mates are sure to follow, then you can deal with any gaps and whichever your preferred method of slug removal might be.
wigginsmum - hope you manage to get a good nights sleep tonight; sounds like you'll be ready for your bed and sleep after the night you've just had. Don't over do it at work today.
PoshPaws - I've had a couple of cooking days this week too, so at least I know my weekend is now freed up for more exciting stuff(Yes, you've reminded me, I have some figures to reconcile too
) Your something with chickpeas and salad is calling out houmous to me!
Ticked a few items off my list already this morning, windows open and airing the rooms out, 10min Yoga done, no BM today, have enough already; washing all up to date. Need to go to the library later this afternoon to pick up the quilting book d11yo ordered for me (so I wouldn't be charged  ) and he needs to get the one he ordered for himself. That probably means I'll be tackling some more quilting this weekend. I feel really enthused after trying some of the machine technique exercises in another book
Boys have had their bath and left the water in for me so I can grab mine and (conveniently!) give the bathroom a quick once over when I've finished :rotfl:
I love Friday'sTake care everyone

Morning all!
Happy birthday Racy!
Kiwi - hope things go well today
Mossy - loved your "moving grape" story - yeughhhh! Enjoy your bible study - ours is tonight, so looking forward to that.
We got our first organic fruit & veg box from the milkman this morning. Now I am looking for things to do with celeriac! DH took one look at it & pulled a "what-on-earth-is-that-do-you-expect-me-to-eat-it?" sort of expression, so I have to find something really good to do with it!
DS is off to stay with a friend in Suffolk this afternoon (different friend from last time, & I have never been to that part of Suffolk before so hope I find it ok!) I'm not much looking forward to the journey home, on my own at the beginning of rush hour & last time I went in that direction there were horrible road works all the way round the Colchester by pass.
Have a good day everyone!0
