Evening All!
It's a late one for me. I had my half day today due to the new house inspector bloke coming round - he was here for perhaps 90 seconds. That was after I had run around like a blue-bummed fly trying to get the place looking semi-organised. Aw well it needed doing.
As mentioned before I didn't sleep too well last night, so there I was at 5.30 pm in my bedroom, thinking about getting ready for college, and deciding what to wear, when my clothes sort of fell off and I sort of fell into bed. I accidentally had a couple of hours kip and missed college. I feel bad about it, it's not like me at all to miss college, and the lessons are always v.interesting. But that kip was fab. I know it means I won't sleep tonight, but just for a little while I feel half human.
Seems there is lots going on in the MSE world, especially in KiwiChick's world. You're stressed out dearie, I hope you manage to get some rest, and get that barfing bug out of your system too. Any chance you could get an early night? You really do need it.
Thriftlady...spots at 40 are common these days for some reason! I'm only 39 (you're older than me!!!) but I still get an occasional one. Don't panic about it. Tell yourself you have the skin of a 16 year old.
Cha97Michelle - regards little kitties jumping onto work tops, mine used to do this too, but I think I have cured them. It's just a case of making the worktops totally out of bounds and really quite unpleasant to visit. If they jump up shout "No" and put them down on the floor. Then when you leave the room sprinkle lemon juice all over the worktops, or vinegar. If they jump up they get hit with a really awful smell and get down again. Alternatively if you don't want to do that you could put sheets of kitchen foil down. Cats absolutely hate to walk on it (it's also good to wrap around a favourite scratching post which is actually an expensive chair leg). If you do that consistently they should eventually learn that worktops are horrible places to visit. I keep my kitties in my kitchen diner otherwise they'd set the house alarm off. I don't see any evidence of them jumping up, and they definitely don't do it while I am there.
Chickadee, sorry you're on a down day today. Hope you get your sparkle back soon.
Gotta go now, need to have a bath, might read a history book to make up for my lost lesson. Sweet dreams everyone!

Jockettuk - HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Moggins - Hugs it sounds like you've had a pretty pants day.
VickyA - Well I'm glad it went as well as could be expected and I'm glad they picked up on some positive things in your class.
KiwiChick - Is it that time already blimey the 10th (well almost) has come round quickly. Good luck with the move and with staying with inlaws.....remember to try and find a local library with internet access so that you can have some time out...if you manage your test tomorrow good luck.
Math - I hope Mrs Math gets some good news next week.
Elona - Bless that is so sweet to send the gp flowers.
Sister came round which was nice and I think she understands the clicks so hopefully she'll start on them tomorrow. Made some bread today and unfortunately used the TD however since being OS for about 3 weeks I've done around 15+ WM loads and used the TD 2 times!!!! instead of what would have been prior to OS 15+ times so I can't even begin to figure out how much money that has saved me.
Anyway I'm really tired so I'm going to scoot off, I hope everyone has a good night sleep. Morning all
Hope everyone is well today
KC - hope you fell better today
Snowy - good tip about kitchen foil - only one of mine jumps on worktop when she is hungry/waiting for biscuits - she sits at the biscuit box -but the minute I bring out tin foil she is off
had not a bad nights sleep
Had minor disagreement with OH last night - he withdrew from the union about 18 mths ago cos we where a little short of money - it now seems that they may go on strike again and cos he isnt in the union he wouldnt get any strike pay (not that they got much before) but he said he wouldnt work while the strike was on therefore he would be sacked  if he was to join the union again he would have to pay all the subs since he last left- dont know what to do.
DW needs to be emptied and WM put on - list of jobs for OH today me thinks
B - cereal
L - couscous and roasted ber
d - pasta and chicken
have a lovely day all
Take care

Morning All:hello:
Well following on from the sleep remedies thread, I had a little less than 3 hours sleep, but i'm used to it now, and will catch a few zzzzzzzzzzz later probably.
Have to get the car repaired today  It pinged a spring and it needs to be replaced, to the tune of £90.00. I will have to wander around town whilst it's being fixed and try not to spend any cash.
As far as OS is concerned, I shall be starting to clean the insides of all the windows today (vinegar and newspaper of course), and am hoping to get some baking done this afternoon. A small pile of ironing to get through, but now I have one of those wizzy steam generator jobbies, it will only take a short while.
Breakfast, scrambly eggies
Lunch, hmm not sure soup possibly
Dinner, Tuna steaks with steamed veggies
Have a lovely day everyone, and to those feeling under the weather or fed up
(((((((((hugs)))))))))
Good luck Kiwichick, hope you're feeling a lot better, you'll pass with flying colours!!0 -

Hey,Kiwi,best of British and NZ luck0 -
Morning
Lovely to see everyone around this morning:j
A good night for me! Although my body hurts, I feel alot better mentally....which is always good.
WM has been on and clothes on airer. DW half full. Toilet cleaned. House quite tidy and clean still from last week:eek: miracle!!!!!!!!! SIL came yesterday and did some bits that I cant do around the house and me ironing, so am best pleased:D
Have the oven on already as I have a small leg of lamb Im going to cook and portion into roast meal size portions in gravy for me at lunchtimes, then will freeze. Im having to eat loads ATM as my body isnt taking in any nourishment and weight is still dropping. I find roast dinners easy to get down and at our local greasy spoon they do a lovely lamb roast (lamb, 3 veg, 3 roasties, yorkie and gravy) for £4.50 and after watching them the other day, I think I know how im going to do it! Bag the cooked lamb, but later whilst lamb is cooking am going to do a load of roast spuds too and freeze these-when I need them am going to stick in the chip pan on high to crisp them for 2 mins. Veg Im going to have cabbage/carrots and peas then keep these in the fridge and have worked out they keep for a good 3 days. Yorkie does OK in MW for 1 min. All the above for about £6 and should make about 6 portions so saving £21 and a bigger serving of food:beer: Anyway, I can but try.
Whilst oven is on, OH is doing 2 HM quiches (1 for leaving party tonight and 1 for us), 50 frozen (sorry-found lurking in freezer for party tonight) and the roasts to have today/tomorrow and freeze. May do a batch of fork biscuits too and use the electric the most economically as possible IYKWIM.
Yesterday I spent ages doing 30 auctions on turbolister to upload today. Found loads of smart workshirts that are now too big for me and many top designers, so am hoping for a few quid there, but we will see.
Mum and Dad told me last night that they are paying for a weeks holiday for us wherever we want, so have decided on a disabled caravan in Yorkshire at Haven. She laughed when I asked her, as she wanted us to go abroad. So said that this holiday would be more suitable ATM with my health not being good, but we would take a cash alternative on the rest of the cost and she coulc contribute towards something for DD (school trip next year;) ) so she is contributing £200 towards it. Well.....if you dont ask and all that....LOL.
Anyways, best go...Ive nattered enough! Having a slow day really today and will be resting on the couch with pillows and quilt and watching Desperate Housewives and some other trash:o
Breakie:Lamb Hotpot(me-high calories and tasty) Cereal, fruitjuice and yogurt (DD & OH)
Lunch:Roast lamb dinner (OH & I). Sarnie, HM Biccie, 3 pieces of fruit, yogurt, water, crisps (DD's pack up)
Dinner:Shepards Pie with carrots and peas.
Will pop in later.
