Ok, catch you all later and I hope more of you are going to come to the meet (MATH - can we tempt you away from the east coast for a night? :D) Go on, you know you all want to. Me 'n' Kiwichick may even do a little number for ya :rotfl:
Well, I think I'm going to be able to come now :j :j :j - although my contribution of delicious HM cakes etc. may be non-existent as it looks like I'll have been on holiday up to the previous day

In fact, having argued with boyfriend about the fact that I'd already suggested we go on hols that week, and come to a compromise (I go home a day earlier than planned, he takes an extra week off and goes off exploring on his own - on his money) I've got to come now :D

If it was somewhere nearer than Blackpool I'd say yes for definite, but every option of getting there looks fairly pricey from London - the train would take over 4 hours and cost over £60, and the plane from Stansted would cost getting on for £32 + taxes + travel costs at each end so probably getting on for £70 at least  Megabus doesn't serve Blackpool, and so... anybody with a car fancy liftsharing from London? Most of the folks in my area have already said they can't go. Ooooooh!!!! Actually, just looked up National Express and they might be able to do it for £31 which is definitely a possibility, and saves money in other ways cos there are overnight services :j :j :j so I could come up for the Saturday only, and could get back to London for Sunday morning so as not to miss out on my paid singing job :j :j :j

Can we confirm the venue soon please TM? (on the proper thread, obviously!)

    Rzl xx

I'm not sure what 'a little number' means but it's making me 'a little nervous'. LOL

    afternoon,

a late one from me. I went visiting today. I.e. went to my parents house for the weekly family get together. Caught up with my dad, both sisters, two nephews, one aunty, one great uncle, and my grandad all in one easy swoop.

I managed to pick up my swimming stuff and face sauna. (i've been advised to inhale steam to support my voice for speech therapy, and the cossie is for my spa day next Monday.) I also gained some maternity clothes from one sister and a bottle of talc, and 2 baby magazines from the other. I've also been promised a moses basket and bedding, and a cot. I can see my sisters rubbing their hands together gleefully as they empty their houses of clutter and it appears at mine. Not a complaint as they will probably save me hundreds of pounds. I can't lose either way - have a boy, gain all my 3 nephews hand me downs, have a girl, its the first girl, so my rellies will go daft and buy lots of things. :T

When i got back home, it was to discover that the kittens had gone barmy in the kitchen. they had been out this morning and got muddy paws, and then they had jumped all over the sides. So i had to rewash the dishes, clean the sink and benches, clean the window and sill, and the cooker. Little monkeys. Will have to think urgently what i can do with them for the day when i go back to work. Current plan was to leave them in the kitchen. We have a garden shed, so i might put a cat flap into that and see how that goes. Unfortunately, i have two agarophobic cats who don't want to go out. If anyone has any hints, please let me know.

Enjoy the rest of your day,

    Michelle, x

Well, the removal men have been and gone. Its been a stressful day. They turned up an hour late, oh the irony when I phoned to enquire where they were and had to remind them of their company name.................go on, have a guess....................Reliable Removals

Its gone from being a part pack today to the full palava (sp?). I've had to run around the blokes gathering what clothes/toiletries I think we will all need for the next 2.5 weeks. Had to getemergency provisions from kitchen.ie.2 bowls/plates/knives/forks/spoons etc and all the kids stuff. Already kicking myself as I told them to go ahead and pack all the videos but forgot to take out the ones that dh and I have taped tv progs on. So now dh is rather peeved.

I think the stress of it all has finally hit me. The minute the blokes left I started throwing up and now cant be more than 5 feet from either a bowl or the bathroom IYKWIM. Feel generally gastly and I'd not told anyone this but I am supposed to be having another driving test at 10.44am tomorrow. If I feel like this I'll not be anywhere near the test centre.

HUGS to all that need them,
    Al.

    ((((HUGS)))) kiwichick!

The last time I used a removal firm (to clear out a storage unit) I booked them to turn up at Safestore Deptford at 8:30 am. They rang to say they were 2 minutes away. Half an hour later we established that they were at Safestore Charlton

Oh Kiwi ((((((Kiwi))))) big big hugs to you love. Now - sit down, close your eyes, deep breath, and breathe. Sod it. Everything apart from the kids. And I mean EVERYTHING. You're not going to be in any fit state to take care of anyone or anything if you dont just take a bit of time to look after yourself. It'll all get done, dont worry. Right - feeling any calmer yet? When you feel like you can get up again go get a glass of water and drink it slowly. Is DH home? Send him to the chippy to get tea for everyone (I know it's not OS but who cares??). If they do those polystyrene boxes then so much the better - no washing up!! And remember - eat them with your fingers. Yum!!

If dh wants to be peeved about a couple of videos - let him. If they were that important he'd have remembered them himself. Forget about them.

As for your test tomorrow - you're probably in the best possible frame of mind for it. Lets face it - you cant really get much more stressed can you!! At least if your head's buzzing with all the things you need to think about at home there's no room for nerves.

OK?? Had that glass of water yet?? Feel any better? Now - whatever else you had planned to do tonight, leave it. It'll wait until tomorrow - Yes, it will. Have your tea, put the kids to bed, and then have a soak in a hot bath and relax.

Thinking of you love, and sending you lots of good luck angels for tomorrow.
I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are – Milton Berle

((((kiwi)))) But, the GOOD news is ...

... you can still get on the computer and to the support we have to offer. Just make certain you position a bucket between your knee's so you don't clog up the keyboard if you get caught short ;)

Sending heaps of positive vibes your way.

As for the driving test? Well, tomorrow is another day ((hugs))
