Badgergal wrote:Ooh I also meant to ask - those of you who have got More With Less - is Amazon the cheapest place to get it? And is there plenty in there for vegetarians?
And yes, there are loads of recipes for veggies.Lots of beans, lentils, eggs, cheese and vegetable dishes. Also meat dishes where the meat element is not that important enabling you to adapt.I really, really recommend this book0 -

Hi Yall,
Mrs MATH said the selection process was horrible and very stressful. She has either bombed or done astounded them with her brillianceShe's doesn't know which. LOL They will let her know next week. She received a letter this morning from another job she had high hopes for to say thank you but no. So no go there.
Miss MATH is off to the hospital this afternoon and I hope this time they finally fit her with hearing aids. They've been beggaring about since she was 3 (now 8) and I'm getting a bit fed up with it now! She's never heard a bird sing and I can't let her out on her own cos she can't hear traffic. I may have to have one of my 'getting my hair off' events if they don't come up with something, as the MATHLETTS call them. LOL
Gotta go - hope yall have a good day

Right, short reply as I've already spent 3 hours here reading threads!!!!
Done :- ebay parcel dispatched
- Dark wash done and now hanging in bedroom to dry
- Dishes (OH did a batch this morning but left pans for me soaking in the sink  )
- Tidy livingroom by the computer (become a dumping ground again!!!)
- Make beds (currently 'airing' )
- Clean bathroom
- Pick DD up via bit shop to buy a small notebook to write all the recipes I keep spotting on here! Our printer does not like printing (looking to buy a new one but other things are taking priority ATM)
- Homework with DD if she has any, if not then we are going to start writing a book review on her latest reading book. (She's read all the set reading books for her year and is now on the library books  The book views make her think and help to improve her handwriting which is coming on in leaps and bounds when she concentrates) IOW, DD will be dictating her book review to me and then she can sit and write it up properly
The sooner it comes through the better as his 0% offer expires soon.
Breakfast : Homemeal toast with hot chocolate
Lunch : flapjacks & sandwich
Evening meal : Omelettes all round

I've managed to watch two in total - she does give some good tips, but the "prizes" are hardly inspiring - why would the winner get an extra specially large box of cleaning goodies (clearly no longer needing them so desperately) and the other contestant get a more modest selection of cleaning goodies (when it could be argued that she is possibly in greater need of the larger box)?
After working your socks off all week to impress AT and the BBC with your decluttering and cleaning prowess, I think something more along the lines of a Pampering Session would be a more meaningful "prize". (Well, that's what I treat myself to, on a less grand scale, after shifting dust, muck and clutter madeness ).
I've gone....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: funiest post I have seen in ages..:rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Math - sorry to hear that Mrs Math has been turned down for a job. There must be something in the water, because DH has also been turned down for a job today.
Hey ho, we keep pedalling on, ever hopeful.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
Hiya everyone
Not had time to read all the posts so (((hugs))) to thsoe in need and I hope I haven't missed anything really important/ earth-shattering
DS2 went to his friends this morning and then straight on to pre-school, so I've had a day to myself :j Didn't get lots of sleep due to both boys starting their nocturnal wanderings againHowever, I did go shopping and have bought myself a decent pair of jeans and a top. Managed to open another store card for a 10% reduction and £5 off if I spent £40 or over. Funnily enough - they came to exactly £40 - so cost £31 ish after discounts
I have a feeling that after I've paid the money off next month - the card will be cancelled - hmmm, wonder why that is
I've just bottomed the living room. How come, when I move the furniture at least twice a week, the kids can manage to hide that much rubbish under them - it looked like a pasta shop with the amount of dried psta hiding under the tv standAnd Mr TM has a financial advisor (not independant!!) coming tonight. Not a clue what he's coming to talk about - Mr TM's pension plans I think
You'll probably find me on the finance boards later
However, he has been told that nothing will be signed tonight!
Right, off to do the school runs. Need to pop into post office too. Pizza for tea (Aldi's) with salad cos it's quick and easy. Still too much laundry to really contemplate too
Ok, catch you all later and I hope more of you are going to come to the meet (MATH - can we tempt you away from the east coast for a night?) Go on, you know you all want to. Me 'n' Kiwichick may even do a little number for ya :rotfl:
Be good

TM that sounds just like my house, I can well remember when DH tried to hide the contents of a plate of spaghetti bolognese down the back of the sofa, he would have got away with it if I hadn't spotted the spaghetti glued to the wall
I wish I could come to the meet but the finances are so up and down with DH's new job that I don't want to say I'm coming and then find out I can't afford itOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
F U Fund currently at £2500 -
Huge pot of broth is in the slow cooker and have made turkey and pork burgers which we will have with potato wedges and rolls and salad.
DD has friend coming over and I have a fruit cake in the breadmaker.
It seems I snored like crazy last night as the air conditioning in the hospital seems to have clogged up my nasal passages!
Oh - the shame!
Great to be home and have just sent off a bunch of flowers to the GP who initially diagnosed DD with appendicitis as I am so grateful for her prompt action on Friday.
DD is on the couch with a duvet over her and seems happier.
Hugs to everyone and thanks for the support!:T"This site is addictive!"
