Oooooh! Enjoy it! OH and I are going to see it at the town's "cinema club" in April. I've already seen it (and loved it!), but have persuaded OH that he will enjoy it as most scenes have Kiera Knightley in them.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0 -

Hello Everyone, my very first post. DH and me have 4 children so we always seem to have loads to do. I have washed many loads of clothes and bedding today, been to our local farm shop and tackled the ironing pile, still got loads to do though before I see the bottom of the basket. DH just prepared tea chicken fajitas, the childrens favourite so they'll be happy when they come in from playing in the snow. Just got to make the tortillas (recipe from River Cottage Family Cookbook - I love this book)

Hello everyone,
hope everyone is well.
Spent my day today studying - i've finished for the day now though. I had to do more than i would like today as i couldn't do much last night.
After having no snow here all week it suddenly hit us yesterday about 2pm. everyone left work at 4pm - total white out. As i drive home along country roads i knew i would have no chance in the car so i left it at work (hopefully it is still there). I only live 6 miles away (on a good day from my house it takes an hour to work on foot - but it is down hill that way). I got a lift from a colleague - she lives 2 miles from work - unfortunately after an hour (and 1 mile) we ditched her car. I was making good time - but then spent 40 minutes helping push a van up an icy hill. this resulted in my jeans being absolutely soaked (i obviously wasn't expecting to walk home in the snow) this made the last 2 miles - uphill - a bit of a slog. I finally made it home at 6.30 - just in time for masterchef
. Spent the evening getting warm.
Of course as my car is at work i will have to walk / run in on Monday morning now.
My old house mate is visiting tonight - not seen him for a year or so - we shared a house for 5 years - so it will be good to catch up.
Thats my day so far.
Cheers

Thank you so much for the welcome, must admit to lurking for quite a while, but seem to have a lot in common with a lot of posters on here, meal planning, cooking from scratch, owning a slow cooker and breadmaker, watching the pennies to name a few,so thought it was about time I joined.
Thanks againMFW 1/5/08 £45,789 Cleared mortgage 1/02/13

Hi everyone
I haven't posted on here for a week or so but I've been reading every day.
Congratulations to all the mini OSs who have passed their exams, I remember how stressful the waiting for results is & the relief when they do well. Not all parents are as sensible as one poster (sorry I can't remember which one) whose DD hadn't passed but who said they were proud because she'd done her best. She's a lucky girl to have such great parents.
To all those who are ill or finding life rough at the moment, I hope you all take comfort from the support of everyone on this board. Virtual hugs & understanding don't make the situation better but hopefully help you feel less on your own.
Kiwi, you must be tearing your hair out, I hope you've managed to sort something out & are feeling better.
Tootles, glad you're on the mend.
Girlpower, at least he knows what a pr*t he's made of himself & doesn't make a habit of it.
BrummieBabe, congratulations.
Frey, a really tough one but my only advice would be, don't rush into any decision. Give yourself time to feel a bit less 'raw'.
JW, your boyf doesn't appear to support you in any important way from what you've said, financially, emotionally or domestically. He seems to think that as long as he makes an effort for a day or two when you've told him how you feel, it'll all blow over for a bit. Not good enough for you in my opinion, you deserve a man who'll be an equal partner not an overgrown child.
GrahamS, we're driving up to Bradford tomorrow to take my mum out for a birthday lunch. I'm a bit worried now!
Sorry, I know I've missed lots of people who I meant to mention but it's been a very eventful week on the OS board hasn't it.0
