    Morning all,

I sit here in tears and don't know what to do... I am posting something very personal that some may think I should have kept to myself but I don't know where else to turn.

Last night my husbanad went on a night out for an old mates 30th birthday, it is very rare about once every few years when he goes out alone. Anyway to get to the point everytime he does he gets so drunk he can hardly stand, how he got home I will never know and then to top it all off I woke up to find he had wet the bed and I was lying in a pool of pee.... This happened a few years ago the last time he went out and once before about 10 years ago. The last time he was so disgusted with himself and promised it would never happen again... so what do I do??? Ban him from going out alone???

Anyway sorry to put anyone off breakfast but he's still in said bed asleep and I am upset and angry.

We have 3 children who behave better than him.

    Sorry, rant over.

Oh, bless your heart, Girlpower ... you poor girl, you.

I'm not surprised you're feeling the way you do .. huggly huggledy hugs .. I would be alternately in complete despair and spitting tacks. I'd be wanting to take a cricket bat to his recumbent form and I'd sure as heck not want to be sharing a bed with him in the very near future. However, none of those things are entirely practical .. and there's also the fact that we tend to love their stupid hides, even though they do ghastly things like this.

What on earth are you going to do with that mattress?? Whatever you wind up doing with it - be it washing it or binning it and getting a new one - I suggest you make him entirely responsible for it and sleep on the sofa (making sure you get there first) until a shiny new fragrant mattress is in situ and resplendent in clean bedclothes.

What can you do about him getting legless with his mates?? Absolutely nothing. That's something that only he can control, presuming he wants to. What you have to work out, is whether this is sufficiently important to you that it forms the straw which broke the camel's back and you remove yourself (and the kids) from the situation. Personally, I think that's probably a bit of a radical step .. but then I don't know what else might or might not be going on in your relationship.

Either way - know that I feel for you and hope that your day gets lots lots better from here on in.
:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:

Hi. Have never posted before, but you lot seem a friendly bunch so thought I would start here!
We got snow up north so plans to clean my car (for the first time ever since OH left a year ago), will have to wait. Can't see out of filthy windscreen but hey!
Was also gonna take daughter horse riding but can't bear thought of standing freezing for an hour while I wait.

You poor Hun. Have a box of tissues, a nice cuppa and absolutely no sympathy for the hangover he is going to have when he wakes up.

Posh paws suggestion of making the clean-up his responsibility (and expense) is a good one. And if he ever says he is going out with the boys again tell him to get a new matress ordered before he goes then book you and the kids into Centre Park for the duration

I don't know your circumstances but they do say that even the finest diamonds have one flaw.

Have a good cry hun, we don't notice wet shoulders round these parts.

    Welcome judyjay
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Gettingitsorted sorry to hear you DS has gone down with this tummy bug poor thing. Munch was really upset when she had it its so horible when your little ones are poorly.

PP - I hope your thoat improves.

    Girlpower oh bless ya...men hey!!

Catowen - Enjoy your retail therapy...shopping without kids oh the joys!! And good luck with your 2nd mystery job. :)

    Hello and welcome Judyjay :)

Well so far this morning i've hung up some clothes that I ironed and folded and put away some bedding.

We've finally had some of the snow you lot have been talking about, so munch and I have already been out and played in our garden/yard....there wasn't much but there was enough to get cold and wet in lol.

DH has just left.....can you guess...of course he's gigging again all day so he should be back sometime early hours tomorrow morning. :( Still atleast munch got to see him for two hours this morning.

I put 22 things on ebay last night, 5 of which were things my sister has asked me to sell for her and I've already got a bid on one of them so fingers crossed they all sell like they did last month.

The plan for today is to pack my ebay items into bags etc ready for when they sell and need posting, a general superficial tidy up (I went to tescos the other day and they had two microfibre clothes for 49p so I got some but haven't really used them yet so will give them a go this morning). I also have a mystery job this afternoon so need to get someone to look after munch for an hour while I do that and then tomorrow as part of our family time I've managed to get a mystery visit that munch will enjoy so we will do that after Church and lunch.

Right well I best get on with it...have a good day everyone.

    Morning everyone!

Lovely & sunny here - but so cold! (at least it looks it, I haven't braved the out-of-doors yet!) Washing in machine, DS & DH both gone off to work (DS has Saturday job, DH is helping a friend) So I am just popping in here for a few minutes before heading off to the town for shopping.

Tonight we are off to a party - eldest DS's GF is 18 next Tuesday, and it's a surprise party for her, so should be nice.

(((girlpower))) - any chance if ... if!!!! ... he goes out with his mates again ... he could stay at their's overnight????!!!!!! After he'd done that a few times they would probably not invite him again!!! Seriously, though, I expect he will be very embarrassed when he wakes up & realises its happened again. Perhaps that might have an effect.

    Morning all.

Girlpower you poor thing :( I suggest that you refuse to sleep in the bed until he has provided you with a nice new mattress!! And get a lock on the bedroom door for the next time he goes out drinking ;)

Lovely start to the day for me. I didn't get up until 9am :D After ranting at DS yesterday it seems to have had some effect and he'd got up, got DD her breakfast, emptied the dishwasher, brought his uniform down and put a washload on and then went out to clean out the guinea pig cage. He's now upstairs clearing his room a bit.

DD had got her own clothes out and she is now upstairs tidying her room too, at 4 I don't think she'll do a good job of it but at least she is trying :D

I just have a chicken curry to make and the washing to get dried now. It's very cold out but no snow and the sun is bright. I'm just off to have a second cup of coffee and work out what else really needs doing.
