(((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) to all who need them especially GP, I sympathise with you, but the best suggestions have already been made........

Lovely bright morning, we are going to look at Aldi, its a bit away from us, but I am really fed up with Tesco........ I need some stuff for biscuits so we are going to have a trip and see whats what, its further away than the dreaded T, depends on how much cheaper their groceries are than T whether it justifies the expense of the petrol to go. I was looking through the cupboards last night for things for a boot sale and guess what I came across a biscuit maker......... I must have bought it when we lived in scotland, it had got pushed to the back of the cupboard, its Italian made by a comapny called Marcato, any one heard of them????? I make those small Dutch/Danish type biscuits made from a shortbread type mix, sinful but delicious.....

OH was going to the allotment but its really frosted so not much point until the ground thaws a little.

The sun is showing off the dust everywhere have not done any housework for almost 2 weeks thanks to being under the weather, so Tuesday is clean up day, we have to go out on Monday.

I cooked two large spare rib pork chops in the SC last night, the smell is driving me mad, I will have to go and take them out to cool off, will take the meat off the bone and add a tin of beans, enough for tomorows dinner and one to freeze......

Living in the sunny? Midlands, where the pork pies come from:

saving for a trip to Florida and NYC Spring 2008

    Morning all.

I'm having jelly brain this morning. Hugs and best wishes to anyone who feels like they need one.

Girlpower - i was chatting to my friend who works at a student hall of residence the other day, and she said it is becoming a common occurence to have to deal with people who do this, although in unfortunate places like public bathrooms and even on the dance floor. I hope it makes you feel a little better to realise you are not alone. Isn't it so sad that people drink so much. It can't be very good from a health point of view, and i'm sure your husband will be very embarassed when he wakes up and has it to deal with, especially if your children see what he has done and he realises how bad an example he is setting.

My DH woke me up at 5:30 to go out to work, hopefully only until lunch time. It had to be so early because we have snow - not much, but he wanted to drive there very slowly as the roads round here are quite bad. He hasn't worked at the weekend for ages, and i'm missing him already as he was really late last night too.

I can't moan though, as he has realised the true cost of having the baby will be my lost salary of £12,500, so we are trying to save up some more, and it will go into that fund. He's also working tomorrow evening, so i'll have to make sure i look after him and cook him something nice and filling when he gets in.

The kittens went out in the snow, but didn't venture further than the door step. They were stood on a clear bit of path just putting one paw on the snow, and were quite funny. They also love playing with washing up bubbles which is a pain when they jump on you to see what is in the sink, but always makes me chuckle.

I'm again not going to do much but cook. I had really bad indigestion last night and felt sick. I'm convinced its after i eat fruit, so i'll avoid it today. I am hoping i can avoid morning sickness.

I'll be thinking of you Vicky A. OFSTED are the pits. I hated our inspection, as the stupid ****** of a woman who watched only 15 minutes of my lesson with little gits in y8 who were bottom set and deliberately swore and were throwing things around the room even though they had been good the rest of the lesson, and she severely looked down her nose at me and told me, frankly, that was inadequate. Not management, who gave an inexperienced teacher a ropey bottom set and then no support. Me - the individual. I honestly blame that for my illness/depression now. I am really struggling to go back as because we are now in special measures, they can come back in at any time with only a few days notice, and its a stress that is constantly over your head.

I recommend not getting too stressed as it will make you really uptight. Try to plan something that will engage all the kids, make sure your marking is up to date, and follow any advice from other teachers in your school. Be able to talk about the targets that kids have, where they are now, and plans to get them to target. However, from our experience, the new inspection is quite different to the old.

I quite liked the TV programme, teachers, who when ofsted came, locked all their pupils in a portacabin out of sight, and impported a bus load of kids from the local, grammar school. :rotfl:

Going to go now as i've got on my high horse. Rant over. Have a nice day everyone,

    Michelle, x

    Hi all,

Right, beds now made, kids dressed & I'm ready to go - outside to wash the car! Virtual drum roll, clapping & cheering please.........this IS the FIRST time since OH left last year.

On the note of OH leavin me (just if anyone interested). My world fell apart, life was never going to be the same again, how would the kids cope? Basically a nightmare. But then life goes on. I picked up the pieces, dragged the kids along for the ride & headed for the light at the end of the tunnel!
Oh yes there is light there.
I now have complete financial independence (no more listening to OH saying things like " it's only money, you can't take it with you, Everyone lives on credit!"

The joy of knowing exactly how I spend my money, knowing where every penny goes & finally gettting out of debt ( apart from mortgage) is an enlightening feeling.

I also get to go on dates!!! And the kids see their dad often & are happy, well rounded little beans.

That's my life story over. Sorry. Feel better for that though.

Going to wash car now. Girlpower I'm sending you a virtual hug x

    Morning all :hello:

((((hugs)))) GIRLPOWER - definitely make him pay for the damage! Just a thought, but you say he basically never goes out, do you think if you found a way for him to get out with his friends a bit more often he wouldn't go so OTT on his nights out IYKWIM?

Am still in bed at half past ten, watching last night's American Idol :o - well I'm still feeling under the weather and headachey. And I have got up once already to have a glass of apple and mango juice.

Still, must get up in a moment. I've been making my first attempt at slow-cooking a joint - that ham hock I picked up recently at Blackheath farmers' market - which has been bubbling away overnight on the low setting in 1pt veggie stock, 1pt apple juice and a dash of sherry, with garlic, onion and cloves. Need to go and sort it out. Hope it'll start off by doing some nice sandwiches for my lunch

Need to get the WM on, and go out into Bexleyheath to collect my new glasses which are finally ready - yay! - and look for a new kettle. Am off into London later on for tea with an opera-singer friend before I go and see her in a performance this evening.

Hugs to anybody else in need and I'll try to come back on later :D

    Rzl xx

Thanks you so much for your support everyone.

Thankfully the children stayed over at my mothers last night so I have been able to realease a screaming match at him to help me get it out of my system. He is now banned from going out alone!!! Which he agrees with as he did not have a good night and the lads he knows can drink for England and when they buy in rounds hes trying to keep up with people who do this every week and are used to putting their bodies through it.

We cannot afford a new matress so he will have to scrub and spray, I have a matress protector somewhere I can dig out...(maybe I should have thought about that last night)

Anyway I can not even look at him, at the moment so when the kids come back in a min will take them in the garden and make a snowman while he cleanas his filthy mess up.

Morning everyone. Nice to be back to posting. I just don't find the time in the working week.

PP _ I hope the throat is better soon -but at least its sore for a nice reason :)
Vicky A - don't worry about doing too much in the classsroom for ofsted. They ask the children how long things have been up, so if you make changes they know its for inspection.

I am having a quiet day sorting out cupboards and doing some paperwork. I will go to Morrisons near tea time and stock up on reductions.
  • GIRLPOWER i know exactly where your coming from i found the best solution was to make him clean it up himself as he had thought that my wardrobe was the toilet i made him wash the lot and buy me a new wardrobe to boot hasten to say hes never done it again so huge hugs to you(think the fact that my kids proceeded to tell everyone about it helped)

Welcome JUDYJAY nice to hear you have picked up the pieces and got yourself and kids back on track i only joined the OS this week and eveyone is fantastic :T

Allready had to vax 2 carpets this morning due to poorly ds wm is in overdrive

    Hello everybody,

I've just been watching Shrek on telly. I love that movie. Just having a bit of a surf before hitting the sack. We have had pretty much cyclonic weather here for the last couple of days. It was a bit better today here but has done quite a bit of damage.

I've had a pretty lazy day today. I have gone off coffee except my morning cuppa. The rest of time I'm drinking tea. Feel really heady & lethargic today. Hopefully will be better tomorrow. Made a chicken dish in the SC for tea tonight. I was really pleased with it, but will add a few things next time.

Girlpower - the same thing happened to me quite a few years ago. DH went out with some mates. During the night I was woken up by a strange noise, it was DH leaning over the bed heaving on the carpet. I leaned over and said what are u doing? and as I did I felt rather wettish:D:rotfl:!!!!!!?
He had no idea, he felt sooo bad, he was cleaning up his mess on the floor and I burst out laughing. (I have a sick sense of humour) We ditched the mattress. It was pretty had it anyway. I still now and again have a little private joke about it. He never drank that much again. Not that he drinks much at all, but it was just one of those nights. So don't worry about it, as you said he doesn't do it often, and he's probably feeling as bad as you about it.

Hope you all have a nice day.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
