    Morning all

Bright and sunny here this morning - very breezy though and the house felt icy cold this morning.

DD's are off, teacher training day :j We're going to make some cushions for their beds today - saved some old jeans and they got some fabric pens for Christmas, god knows what the results will be but it will keep them amused for a few hours. Need to alter a pair of trousers while I've got the machine out, they've been sitting in the basket for weeks, didn't seem worth getting the machine out for one item.

Off to scatter the ashes of a friend this afternoon - he died 3 years ago and his sons now want to say goodbye properly, I said my goodbyes a long time ago but it's something I'd like DD's to see, it's all part of life and learning isn't it.

Brekkie - Toast (shop bought bread arrghhh)
Lunch - HM Rolls and scrambled eggs
    Dinner - Chicken stir fry

Anyone got any ideas what I could do with a nearly full box of dishwasher powder???? Our DW broke and I don't really want to just chuck it.....I'm assuming I could just mix it with soda cystals and use it to wash the floors.....

    Have a great day all.

    Morning all,

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Our car broke down on saturday aswell, luckily DH was with us but had to wait two hours in the snow for the recovery man to arrive. Finally got home at 3.30pm on the back of the truck just in time for DS to arrive home looking like a snow man as he hadn't taken a coat to school that morning, this morning however he has!
Looks like we'll have to invest in a new one as its the timming belt that has gone and it will cost more than the car is worth. But DH needs one for work, his business depends on it, so no compromise there.

Borrowed next doors car yesturday to go to Asda and bought enough food for the month, had two trolleys full to keep us going just in case.

Anyway than last night the central heating boiler packed in  we have hot water but no heat  waiting for the plumber to arrive so another expense there. I know they say bad luck comes in threes so just waiting for the next thing to happen!!!

Have a good day all, take care

    Ice. (literally)

Pooky: Just wanted to say hope everything goes okay this aft, I lost my dearest friend nearly 12 years ago, my DD is named after her. It will be a emotional time for you, I will be thinking of you.

My mum always takes a milkbottle outside and smashes it to break the chain!!!

Never done it myself but may be worth a go.

No work for me today but a fair few things to get done at home.

    Breakfast - porrige
    Lunch - sandwich
Dinner- bubble & squeak and sausages. pudding- baked apples.

chores to be done: bedroom floor mass pick up. ironing. bake apple mince meat tart and some cup cakes.

Weather is lovely again, albeit cold, so will walk the dog on the old hills sometime this morning before the clouds start moving in.

Really neeed to get busy and stay off the pc today as the RSI in my right wrist is back big time and kept me awake for hours last night.

Waiting for the postman to bring my new cook books from amazon.

Have a great day all and I hope monday treats you well.

Huge hugs to everyone that's had a poo weekend :)

Just taking a moment to warm up before I go and wash my hair, we overslept this morning so shame of shames I had to go to school with greasy hair :( After all the palava with Dad yesterday I didn't get the chance to wash it. Then a little bit of housework to stop the place looking like a bomb hit it. I have to walk to the hospital to see Dad as DH has got a training course this morning and had to have the car. I am hoping DH will be home at lunchtime just in case they say Dad can come home.

I crave one day of peace and quiet so I can dye my hair and do somethings for myself. The kids even had to go to school with shop bought jam tarts in their lunch boxes as I never got the chance to bake yesterday.

Morning everyone just caught up with you all. :)

Elona - I hope your DD is much better today and I hope you are able to get home soon.

Posh Paws - Glad the inspection lol went well.....when people say how bad their parents can be it makes me so greatful for my mum and in-laws. :)

Moggins - I hope your Dad is on the mend. Hugs

PP- Glad to hear you had a better night last night, I hope it goes okay at the hopsital today.

Ice Maiden - lets hope the bottle has cured the problem.

Hellos and hugs to everyone this bright and sunny morning. :D

Well now that i've caught up I need to get breakfast and get ready to go into town. I have two mystery jobs to do this morning one of which is near a fantastic old fashioned sweet shop...buying sweets from there is OS isn't it??? after all it is an OS shop. :D And the other is in town so I will pop to the market and have a look round and also pick up some sewing stuff to repair various items of clothing that need fixing.

BM and WM on and when I get back from town I will tackle the kitchen and tidy up the house as much as I can. I also need to make some more biscuits as munch has been asking for some for a couple of days now. Had a very stressful few weeks as DH has been working FT and gigging every weekend so I am well and truly fed up and knackered from looking after munch on my own and he is knackered and tired understandably although I don't think its fair for munch and I to suffer. We were meant to go to a kiddies play house thing yesterday but he said he couldn't go and fell as sleep. We haven't spent much time as a family let alone a couple so things are a bit tense especially as Aunt Flo must be due shortly as I am a bit hormonal to say the least. :rotfl:

Just heard that my SIL has been taken into hopsital (she preggas and due later this month) her blood pressure has been going up all week and baby is engaged so they are going to enduce her so there will be a new member of the family hopefully very soon. :p

Right well I best get off and get on with my day. Have a good day everyone. :D

    Morning..

Not posted for a while as have been busy! Should be heading out the door now for the 2nd interview for a job im after! BUT they just rang to ask can they put it back from 10am till 2:30pm as a few staff have rang in ill and so they will be struggling this morning. Bit peed off as completely throws my plans for the day... PLUS i was ready to leave! So now my make up and hair (most perfect ive ever seen it  ) will be ruined by 2:30pm and i have to wear my interview top all day so as to not get orange make up marks round my white collar!! (why did i put a "over the head" top on?? :wall: )) AH well..

Spent yesterday cleaning OH's mums house..! Shed gone away for weekend so i tackled the kitchen and living room to "help" Secretly it had been bugging me for months :rotfl: :rotfl: The place was filthy and covered with thick layer of dust! Dont get me wrong i love his mum and rest of the family to bits but sometimes i cringe at the state of the house :o:o I hadnt seen her kitchen floor before!!!!! Not joking.... they have a galley kitchen and you have to usually walk ON TOP of dirty clothes waiting to be washed instead of a floor (current washing been there least 2 weeks) and i didnt know what colour her worktops where either till yesterday because ive never seen them for rubbish/pots + pans/plates/"clean" washing etc etc!! I understand both parents work fulltime and they have 3 grown lads of 18, 20 and 24 - of which 2 work fulltime so the place can be hectic.....But it takes 2 seconds to make the place at least tidy and wipe over the surfaces! What makes it worse is OH doesnt work at the mo so is "home" all day... and his mum is a cleaner.. and his lil bro (18) is a chef!!!! So why the kitchen gets in that state i dunno!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Anyway... plan for the day is now visit mum and get her to come then council "one stop shop" to help me sort my housing benefit claim out.. they messed it up :( Then head into city centre for my interview... then at 6pm gotta be at scouts - totally not in the mood for the "darlings" tonight!!

    Breakfast: Toast with peanut butter
Lunch: God knows whatever i can grab!
    Tea: See above! :rotfl:

and EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKK!! Just looked outside to see... its snowing!!!! There goes my hair/make up/smart DRY interview outfit
