LOL Aril, your DS sounds just like mine :D

Glad to hear they are attempting something to help PP.

I am pretty fed up, visit to docs did not well this morning, I have to go for x-rays which are going to take about 10 - 14 days to come through, then make another appointment to see what the results are and then they will try and think of something, in the meantime I have to "keep on taking the tablets" even though I told the doctor they were not helping one little bit. DH has been wonderful about taking DD to school and picking her up again but what do I do when he goes back to work.

Sorry I'm not on much anymore, I may have to invest in a padded computer chair.

I was out of the house by 6.45 this morning & have been hard at it on my laptop since I got back about 2ish, so I think it's time for an MSE break, don't you?
Sausage casserole for tea - I had to text OH this morning to tell him to get the sausages out of the freezer cos I'd forgotten.

Johanne - you don't need those things, resist, resist, resist......................

Bargain Rzl - I too am not envious of your jury service (is that a proper sentence?) My poor MIL has had to do it twice!

SnowyOwl - hope the "chat" went OK.

FF - enjoy the le creuset pans. I've had mine a good few years now & still think of them as my "new" pans.

Mr PP - best wishes to she who must be obeyed ;) Impressed with your jobs completed list for today!

Thriftlady - keep up the swimming, 20 lengths is good going for first time back. (Now I feel guilty for not going to the gym today)

Hello/hugs/best wishes to everyone else. hope the rest of the day goes well.

    Hi All

Mr P-P Sorry to hear P-P not on the mend, hope things improve soon, pass on my thoughts and wishers to your lovely OH.

F-F Hope your tooth feels better, the pain can seem so bad when your overtried, though good news about the appointment tomorrow. And belated birthday wishers for yesterday.

I've not managed to catch up on the last couple of days posts yet. went to watch the Pink Floyd tribute band off the wall last night. I was very impresses as not a big floyd fan as the miusic always seems depressing, but last night changed my mind. when with EXOH as got the tickets for Valintines for him and what with everything that been happening he'd forgot he had them and it was to short notice for his friends, so I went and it wasnt to uncomfortable. Sort of made us remember why we were friends one .
I'm in uni all day today then got to pick DD/DS up and go shopping. Ive load of washing to get done so both WM and TD will be on the go tonight. I am thinking of phoning in work sick as have 2 essays to get out the way by end of next week and have loads of reading to do. Though as not entitled to sick pay, this will mess up my buget for the month.

Takecare ((((((((hugs))))))))))) to all those who need them and double ((((((((hugs))))))))) to them that need them but dont realise

Well done on the swim Thriftlady. I'm feeling pretty virtuous myself having just got back from an almost 9 mile bike ride. Not a long way for me really but I nearly didn't go 'cos it's so blustery today. I'm glad I did though, I really enjoyed it despite nearly getting blown into a ditch twice.
If I'm totally honest I probably went as much to get away from noisy dog & workmen (& making endless cups of coffee) than anything else.

Mr PP pass on my best wishes to PP. I hope she gets out of hospital soon.

Well, this afternoon has been spent filming for the "Teachers' TV" channel. The presenter, Miranda (she was on that Coast programme) was so nice. She seemed really genuine, asking me about the forthcoming nuptials of OH and I. The "production team" were very nice too. All quite young. Sadly they didn't offer me a job. When I was 12 I wanted to be a producer. Then again, I've always wanted to be a Blue Peter presenter! :D

This evening, it's the school disco. The Years 3 and 4 have theirs first, then it's my motley crew full of hormones running wild second - until 8.45pm! I'll have to pop out to the supermarket to get a sandwich or something. As I didn't stay for the last one, I think I'd better show willing this time. OH will have to fend for himself. He's feeling better now, so I imagine he'll "make" himself have fish and chips, even though there are beans and bread just waiting to be turned into beans on toast!

Take care folks. And tomorrow is the end of term for me :j :j :j :j

    Hi all

Need to let off a bit of steam...have had my "chat". As predicted time-keeping came up, it's sorted out, though I did mention that the clock machine doesn't keep accurate time and that the print out I was presented with is therefore inaccurate too, so I wouldn't accept it as evidence. However the conversation moved on to my work. Seems the main point of the conversation was to have a right go at me. Pointed out that I had been shown what to do by a certain person (who hasn't spoken to me since May last year) and that any training since then has been non-existant. Also that nobody checks my work, nobody comes back to me to say anything, and that when I get asked if things are OK I say yes because based on the evidence then everything is. Well, actually it turns out it's just a few little things, and this fantastic blame culture that prevails here. Managers didn't bother doing certain things properly so they were passed along to me - I hadn't been trained but did my best, nobody said anything until today so I thought things were alright -I've been here a year - and now they criticise. Manager said that she didn't think it was a training issue because then that would make her look bad (What the F????). She contradicted herself a lot - Your work's fine, you make mistakes, you've got nothing to worry about, you seem to be having some difficulties. Aaahhhh....I ended up crying with frustration as the conversation just went in circles and she kept putting the problem back to me, and I kept saying I didn't know there was a problem. A job on Sainsbury's check out has never looked more attractive than it does now...

My colleagues were right though, a "chat" in this place is not an opportunity to tell a person well done but a chance to blame and to criticise. I am so effing pee-ed off now.

Big Hug :grouphug: Could you get a transfer to a different department away from you know who?

Regards to the pennypinchers and hope she who must be obeyed gets home soon!

Had a great baking day - made 2 dozen rolls, a dozen breakfast muffins, pasta for two DDs and soup for the rest of them.

Have Slimming World tonight so dreading it.

Introduced DD to the delights of pigsback and indirectly to here - cunning or what?

We will soon have her as crazy as the rest of us!:j

SnowyOwl, If we don't work for the same firm then they must be twins! We gets "chats" like that too! No clear instructions, contradictions left right and centre and of course it is all my fault when it goes pear-shaped. The one consolation is that when you eventually realise you can't win you stop worrying about it and strange as it sounds, things then start to change I've found  .

F-F, so glad you are seeing the dentist tomorrow, toothache is so awful. (((HUGS)))

Rzl, don't the court pay you when you are on Jury service? I thought you were not supposed to lose out financially by doing it? Except I don't think they call it "pay" can't remember now, my last stint was a while ago. Did you get magistrates court or the Old Bailey?

Thanks for the update Mr PP!! and hugs to PP!!. You shall have to get a user name of your own when PP!! is out of hospital icon7.gif.

Right, off to make dinner, empty the WM, make a batch of muffins and generally mess up my newly cleaned kitchen :rotfl:

    Have lovely evenings everyone.
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D
