I am another who is not bathed and dressed yet. Been looking at the Green Audit man's website to see how we can improve.
FF Toothache is so miserable, I hope you can get some relief from it today.
Dobie I understand about the kennels. We have found a good alternative is the people who take dogs in for boarding. Mkaes us feel better although the dogs still cry when we leave them.
Catowen I think I would wash the floor after the baking sessionHope your mouth is now feeling okay.
Jo, sounds exciting on the work front. Nice to get some recognition.
Moggins Good luck at the doctor's.
Chipps How lovely to have a complement about your son. That kind of thing makes me glow with pride. My DS was told by his PE teacher yesterday that he is going to be a great rugby player, so he is feeling very happy with that.
Smokey I hope the cough gets better, it can be very exhausting to be coughing all the time.
I feel a bit of a fraud as I often find the meals I post on here end up not being the ones we actually eat. Yesterday DD said Oh not soup again! so we had something else for lunch. I had to go out to collect DS from a rugby tournament so was not around to make the casserole I planned and made chicken in white wine sauce (bogof jar) and rice instead! Does this sort of thing happen to anyone else?
Did quite well with the sitting room yesterday but the lovely clear coffee table was lo and behold covered with DDs jewellery making stuff by the time I got to sit down in the evening  I'll be carrying on with that today plus all the usual laundry stuff, vacuuming (we have dogs) and taking DD to her maths tutor this afternoon.
I'm not saying anything about the planned meals, just in case
Have a good day all.0 -

Awake half the night with tummy cramps - there's a bug doing the rounds and it looks like I caught it! Also woken up with a full blown cold and husky voice.......good job I've got a couple of days off!
Must do some ironing today - will stick a dvd in and get on with it in a bit, the rest of the house is reasonably tidy.
Brekkie - DH did it, so no idea what they all had this morning.
Lunch - Again DH did it
Dinner - Quiche and wedges
Moggins - Good luck at the docs.
Cat - Good luck with the baking and paying off your holiday - you must be so looking forward to it.
Hope you all have a great day."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

I have just read your birthday wishes to me from yesturday, I did not relise you all knew!!!!
I had a lovely day it started with a little chef breakfast then we went to see what was on at the cinima but nothing jumped out at us so we went to Woodgreen animal shelter.
We went and looked at 3 guinea pigs they are a year old and all male have been together since birth.
We reserved them and are now awaiting a home visit to make sure that we are the right people to have them.
I got lovely pressies and cards i have not had anything from my mum and mil so i still have that to come.
One of the mums at ballet brought in a cake, candles and wine. they all sung to me i was so touched i did not know i was that well thought of.
We went to the chinise resturant to have tea and it was to die for.
All in all i was a very lucky lady.

Morning All
Just sat here debating whether to go to Aldi or see if I can wait afew days and save some money. Think thats what I might do. WM has just finished so the nappies need to go on the airer, they could go on the line but it keeps clouding over and I dont want them to get wet if I go out. A friend has just had a baby so I would like to visit but not sure whether to go because I'm still abit snotty from my cold. I'm about to make some Potato and leek soup to go inot the freezer for lunches, while I doing that I'll peel the rest of the bag of spuds and par boil them.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -

Morning :hello:
Didn't sleep well last night - had a complicated dream that my housemate and I were supposed to be flying to New York to see a Wagner opera with Placido Domingo in it, and that 2 hours before going, I discovered they wouldn't let me get on the plane without a visa that cost £200, and they wouldn't then let me into the US without another one costing £40 after the plane landedand I was thinking, well I still really want to go, so I was chasing around the airport trying to find the right office, and then when I'd got it sorted I couldn't find my housemate, the plane was due to take off in 10 mins and we hadn't even been through passport control yet
then I woke up. I told my housemate about it and he said it must have been a dream because he would never fly all that way to see a Wagner opera, whoever was in it, and he'd certainly have cancelled the trip if he knew it was going to cost an extra £240 :rotfl:
Just told my boss about my jury service summons. And told HR who say they don't subsidise any time offso I just hope I get discharged for some of the days during the jury service period so I can go to work and not lose too much money
it's sod's law because I'd just calculated how I was going to achieve my 2006 savings target and buy my first flat... I know my boss would sign me off on the grounds of "indispensibility" if I preferred, but I'd rather have it now than get it again later in the year, possibly when I'm meant to be on holiday, and have no choice but to accept.
Sounds dumb but I've been dreading getting JS ever since I turned 18! The whole idea terrifies me. I really don't like the idea of judging other people, though of course I know it's a vital public duty.
Got 7 weeks until it starts so I hope I calm down about the idea soon! Right now my heart is pounding and I'm getting really stressed about it.
Anyway.
Breakfast: takeaway bacon sarnie and coffee (oops)
Lunch: fisherman's pie and peas from last night
Dinner: not sure. Might have a ready-meal shepherd's pie which has been sitting in the freezer for months and I can't bring myself to chuck itor (more appetisingly) grilled salmon with couscous and peas
FunkyFairy - glad you had a nice birthday.
Back later

Morning all
I'm being a total lazy moo this morningWent back to bed for a doze after DS1 went off to school - DS2 is happy with a balloon I've blown up for him and kept coming in for a snuggle/bounce on the bed anyway
Still sitting in my PJ's and DG but I shall get dressed in a minute.
Cooked a ham shank in the SC last night - have my peas soaking so will do those soon. Was going to make a pea and ham soup but Mr TM has decided he wants good ol' ham shank and mushy peas, so shall do that (not done it before, but I'm sure it can't be hard - 2 ingredients? lol)
Made a fab cottage pie last night - normal mince, onions, and veg but also threw in a large portion of steak and veg casserole with new pots and 2 portions of bol sauce. Gave it a lovely texture and a yummy taste - everyone loved it, so that means I won't have to leave odd portions of stuff languishing in the freezer now. I have enough base to make up another pie for another day too
Have to go to school tonight to see what's what for when DS2 goes in september. I didn't go when DS1 started (Mr TM did) so although I'm used to the school, it will be nice to see what my baby will be doing. Help - where does the time go
Ok - got to get on as have to go to mum's in a bit. (((hugs))) to everyone and thanks for the update Mr PP - give PP my love

LOL @ the fish pie posts. DS2 won't eat it, but when I make it, DS1 always pulls a face. Now, when they ask me what's for tea, DS2 always shouts to DS1 "fish pie, you're having fish pie" :rotfl:
And it's the way he says it too - as he's been in speech therapy he is now so precise with a lot of his letter sounds, esp 'f' and 'p', it's a hoot to hear him0
