I am glad to hear that she isn't letting the consultant push her around!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FUNKY FAIRY!!! :bdaycake:
Afternoon all, I hope that you are all happy and well, hugs for you all :grouphug: Oh I do hate that smiley, it looks SOOOOOO rude, hee hee!!
Anyway I have not posted the last day or so because I have been having a total nightmare of a week! I posted a short post on monday when I was really ill, then tried to write a longer post yesterday, it took me ages to write then I went a flippin deleted it and had no enegy to write it all again!
Yesterday was the day from hell, I had hardly any sleep the night before but somehow managed to oversleep in the morning and ended up missing my doctors app, I was so upset I cried  I then had a few things I needed to do in town, I was supposed to do them after the doctors, OH had to help me round town which was not fun as I find it hard to hold doors open and get up stairs at the mo and so I got frustrated every time he didn't hold a door for me, I must have looked so rude!
I also bought us microwave meals for dinner as I felt so ill and OH was going to work so I would have had to cook alone, it was really yummy though and made good comfort food! I did feel guilty that I spent almost £10 on a few bits of food in M and S but we have not been food shopping this week as I have been too ill so it isn't that bad.
Today I had a hospital app and I had to go aloneLuckily they didn't have to do anything to me they just told me I need a gromit in my ear and a biopsy of my inner ear, hmmm lovely! I then went to get the bus and realised I had no money, I went to the cash machine and it was out of order!! I was so worried I almost cried again! OH had dropped me off but he had to go to work so i was meant to take the long bus journey home but I was totally stuck. I called my mum and she was in a meeting miles away and couldn't get me for two hours then suddenly I saw my nephews dad coming out of the hospital and lucky for me he was on his way home!!! :j I was so glad I almost cried again  I must be getting soft! I think I deserved one bit of good luck in this horrid week.
Now I am safely at home and do not intend to move for a long time, I am going to have a very restful evening and make sure I feel well for tomorrow when I have the docs and I have to get there and back by myself!
Dinner will be jacket spud with M and S cottage cheese (that cost 99p , its only 59p in tescos!!! ) and salad, yum!
Have a good afternoon all, purplegirl.0 -
Been lurking on the DIY forum today, as we've decided to bite the bullet & re-do our bathroom. Bit worried about removing the tiles ourselves as Mr Lucie is a bit of a ham-fisted bull in a china shop when it comes to DIY. Anyway, spoke to the plumber/tiler blokey & he says he'll do it for us at no extra charge. :T result!
I really need to get the hoover out tonight as I didn't quite get around to it yesterday & it's just me for tea cos OH is at work. Fridge/freezer lucky dip I think. Been to Costco today, intending to spend a fortune but didn't. Result no. 2 of the day!
Hugs, Happy Birthdays & all the necessaries to those who need them & a big *thumbs up* to PP - you give 'em what for girl!0 -
Thanks for the update Mr PP, sorry that they haven't been able to help much, hope PP gets home tomorrow she will be much better off there. Give her my good wishes.
Purplegirl, sorry to hear of your problems. I know what you mean about buying comfort food, sometimes when I'm really bad I just retire to bed and have a takeaway or something very expensive from Sainsburys. Hope you feel better soon.
I've had quite a good day today, sorted all my toiletries out, I have enough to stock a shop!! I've also planted some more tomato seeds and pricked some seedlings out.
Dinner tonight is cold roast beef and homemade chips with pickles and white bread. Yum!!
Have a good evening all.0 -
Evening everyone.
Thanks for the news Mr PP
Happy Birthday Funkyfairy.
I have finally got tired of living in constant pain today and have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow - that was very quick for them
DH is back to work on Friday night so hopefully I shall be able to get on the computer a bit more too. He has been getting on my nerves, I struggled out of bed this morning determined to do some work and he said you only had to ask and I would do it. Is he joking? All he's done lately is play on the computer and completely miss the fact that he is knee deep in filth (okay bit of an exaggeration there).
So I hope to see you all tomorrow with some good news and strong painkillersOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

Afternoon all
Mr PP - glad to hear that PP is on the mendEven if the consultant isn't........ :rotfl:
Yet another day in school. The children were completely off the wall this afternoon, but I got them cutting, sticking and doing Science tests. Luckily the other Year 6 teacher had a pretty terrible afternoon, so we "swapped" some children over - ie she had two hooligans who sat on their bottoms at the front of my class and I gave her two of my hooligans! Oh joy. Luckily, tomorrow is another day. One of the other poor teachers apparently collapsed as she got into her car through exhaustion this morning. The end of term is on Friday, but hey ho!
OH has been "dying" of some strain of man flu today. He's got a really grotty cold, thumping headache etc. Feeling sorry for him yet? :rolleyes:He seems to think that I gave it to him, but my strain wasn't so bad. Apparently (!) it "mutated". Hmmmmm.
Supper tonight is chicken stir fry. Very yummy, I hope and very healthy with loads of veggies in. Keep OH's immune system working overtime too.
Take care all.

evening all
not been around much the last 2 days - hope all is well.
hope you've had a good birthday Funky Fairy and i'm glad to hear PP is feeling good enough to shout at doctors!
just going to look through my veg bag to decide what to cook this week.... although i think something very dull with pasta will have to do for tonight!
vickya - i think your OH has what one of my colleagues calls 'siberian death flu', only ever reported by men and more commonly known as a cold
moggins - hope the doctor's trip is ok, and give your DH a handbagging to make him clean (i loved that advert a while back on the world without chocolate - where a woman handbags someone in the street - i wish i could that, especially today!):happyhear0
