    Afternoon all

    Happy Birthday Funky Fairy

Having a lazy day here as I'm full of cold. Been to toddler group this morning, DD is now sparked out in her cot, just got some washing to sort out this afternoon and the tea to make, the house is clean and tidy as in-laws will be poping in later to bring back DD pushchair as I manged to forget it yesterday (I blame my cold its stopping me thinking straight).

Have a good a day everyone

Don't have a lot planned for today although want to pop over to a friend's to drop off a birthday card for her and pass on my sister's old juicer which I don't have kitchen room for!
Have finished my final college assignment today :j Will have to wait for feedback on 6th April.
Shall be making HM veggie chilli for tea tonight with tortilla chips and hopefully catching up with the Planet Earth video from the weekend.

I've managed to keep myself within the four walls today, the outside world costs me money so I do believe I'm well on my way to my first no spend day since the lightbulb!

Have listed 6 books on ebay and 13 on amazon, just waiting for the money to start rolling in!

Have also washed kitchen and bathroom floors, hoovered living room and halls, now just off to start on sink and draining board then some lunch for me I think.

What would have been a £3 sandwich from in town has become a tin of spaghetti and hot dogs, found in cupboard!
Am then going to riffle through cupboards and lay out this weeks meals on a crisp sheet of paper and leave attached the cupboard in kitchen!

    I CAN DO THIS!

    Have a good day y'all

    Hello everyone!

Quite a late post today, so was very surprised to see it's only on one page still!
    I hope PP is ok
FunkyFairy: many happy returns of the day
Feeling a bit uncomfortable still, as I have been to the dentist for a filling this morning. Not my favourite occupation!
Chicken stock is hissing away in the pressure cooker: soup for dinner tonight I think! that should be easy on the tooth.
Still got a few odds & ends of housework to finish before DH gets home, so off to do that in a minute or two.
  • Mr Penny-Pincher here.

I am under strict instructions to let you know how my better half is doing. Thank you for the lovely messages.

She is not too bad and is on strict bed rest, I am hoping she can come home tomorrow as they can't do much for her and I can look after her at home just as well. She hates hospitals and is sick to death of them. She had an argument with 1 of her consultants yesterday and told them they were incompetent and asked how would they feel being 31, in a wheelchair, a mother and a wife and being pricked like a pin cushion and no closer to finding whats totally wrong with liver and other stuff to 12 months ago. I had a chuckle to myself, then she proceeded to say=its alright for you, swanning in and out once a day and seeing me for 10 minutes and saying, well you must rest Mrs XXXX, I dont want to rest, I want a bloody life! He walked off abit embarrased but came back today and apologised for everything. Think this was a good move on his part, as she was ready for round 2 lol.

Have to go and pick daughter up from school and I hope and pray that she is home tomorrow=for the consultants sake if nothing else. Missus is used to managing 150 people and I dont like getting on the wrong side of her, and pity anyone who attempts this.

Just got back from Tesco. YAY I got the chickens, so thats 6 meals sorted for the next month at least. Could not believe the bill £85.00 but both the fridge and freezer were empty so I suppose its not bad, leaves me £15 for fruit and veg in the middle of the month. I did buy quite a bit of meat and also some extra special sausage........and sallmosn fillets for a change, also got a piece of smoked haddock, have not had that for ages.

Thank you Mr PP for letting us know about PP. I guess both of you will be glad to have her home again.

Happy Birthday FF...... have a good one.

Thank you Mr PP for the update.
Sorry they have not managed to get anything sorted for the better for PP though. Hope she gets home soon, a much happier place to be. Hope you and Miss PP are doing okay.
