Hello everyone.
I've just had to read through the last 4 threads to catch up, and it's taken me ages. Hugs to those who are wanting them.
I went back to work yesterday, and it was a real shock to the system. I was in meetings all day to look at how i was going to cope after having been off work for 5 months. The supply teacher doing my lessons tried to give me my classes back this week so he could sing in the Easter service, but my head of department stood up for me. I got home shattered, and really quite down. DH was also really late home, so i ended up in a real state crying for hours, and in the end i was sick. I don't know if it was pregnancy related or just from being stressed.
I braved going back again today. It was better because of the strike, we didn't have any kids in. So i had time today to catch up with what my classes have been doing, and also do some of the paper work. I then had a nice lunch with some of my friends, so caught up. We were finished for 1, so i feel less tired and upset today. I hope it was just the shock to the system as i won't be able to keep going if it upsets me that badly.
Well the rest of the week should be ok. I need to plan some lessons, and teach just one to ease me in gently. Then its the easter hols, and then back with my nose to the grindstone for the last 12 weeks. I should then only have to go back for 4 weeks after the summer hols before starting maternity leave. I'll have to start a count down chart.
OS wise, me and DH are trying to work together in the morning to make the house presentable. So far it's working but it is only day 2 of the new regime.
I'm going to make beef stew for tea tonight as i feel up to doing a bit of peeling and chopping. Then a night in front of the telly for me i think.
See you soon,
Michelle, x0 -
I had a lovely night's sleep under my new duvet, but the day went down hill from there! Actually it wasn't that bad, but lots of little things to stress me out, like stroppy security guards & staff who insist they have booked me a parking space when really they haven't. The horrendous traffic & miserable weather didn't help either.
MOAN OVER
I've planned mushroom risotto for tea; last time we had it it was pretty grim, despite not doing anything different to the million times I've made it beforeso I hope it's gonig to be a good 'un.
All this sleep walking/talking talk reminds me of the night a couple of years ago I drew blood on my OH when I had a panic attack & thought someone was in the house. I had hold of him so hard my nails broke his skin. Oops! Funny thing was I thought I was the completely lucid one & he was acting weird. He had to shake me really hard to get me out of it. I can laugh about it now, but it was really scary at the time, so anyone who suffers from it on a regular basis has my sympathy.0 -
I must attract active sleepers, because all this talk of sleep activity has reminded me of when my ex woke me in the night because he was patting me on the shoulder. He then said "Good girl, Zip" - the "Zip" in question, being his horse.
I count myself lucky he didn't slap a saddle on me and take me for a spin around the woods.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -

According to my mum, there was an incident early in my parents' marriage when my dad sat bolt upright in bed and said:
"Hello, little girl in Wellington boots".

Had a super fantastic day yesterday - coffee out with an old friend that I'd lost touch with and a good old fashioned chin wag(She gave me some eggs her chooks had laid that morning too; bonus!)
Stocked up on vinegar and bicarb from our local health shop for Spring Cleaning.
5lts of vinegar and 3.5Kilo's of bicarb ... think I've got enough?
Don't know if you're aware of it but 27 March - 2April is Natural Health Week and there are offers and tastings going on. You might want to check out the website and locate via the search facility where the nearest participating one is to you.
Back in a bit; have a great day everyone ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Morning Queenie and SOMO1 (and everyone else!!!!)
Had a lovely day yesterday, was able to go shopping on my own, without having to worry about the little ones, i was able to get all the easter eggs in peace ( i buy for all the children i look after!!!) made a lovely stew for dinner, that i was able to eat (HURRAH) and did absolutly nothing in the house, but then, with no children to make a mess, it didnt need doing!!!!
So, today, little one is back, but she is the only one, and she is quite cuddly as she is still tierd from yesterday so i think we will have a nice relaxing day. Will have to do some cleaning, but not too much, and im going to make curry queens korma tonight for dinner!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
