DD is now at school, what a palaver that was, everyone going through the same entrance as they decided to let the kids in early because of the rain, fought our way through a huge traffic jam to get DH to his training on time, found out eventually there was a double decker bus broken down just in the most inconvenient place. Got him there with three minutes to spare so it took us 30 minutes to travel 2 miles.
I've just pulled a chicken out of the freezer to roast tonight, I'm hoping it's thawed out in time. I'm going to be gone until 3 so I have to keep it simple.
Pooky it sounds like you deserve to treat yourself, I had a lovely mothers day, bacon and egg buttie and fresh coffee in bed, a box of my favourite choccies, DVD of my favourite movie and DH had created a CD of all my favourite songs. Then I had a lovely soak in the bath and my eldest DD arrived with a card and a pressie too.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning :hello:
This morning I have been arguing with HSBC over the balance transfer on my new credit card, which they've now botched up THREE TIMES to the point that I'm now incurring interest on the other account cos it's taken them three weeks (and counting!) to sort it out. Once the BT's actually through and I get the statement from my other card, I'll be writing to their complaints dept with a bill for my time, trouble and needless interest on my other card. I've never had any HSBC products before, and this is not exactly the best way to hang on to a new customer
PP - good luck at the hospital - I hope they don't need to admit you. Well actually that's not true, I hope that if they think it's necessary for the sake of your health then they'll admit you and get you sorted out :grouphug:
catowen - glad your little monsters calmed down and realised how special you are. Hope it all goes well next Sunday.
nicki - I'd never have read/watched Harry Potter at your DD's age if it had been written at the timeDon't get me wrong, I'm not saying your DD shouldn't - I was a particularly sensitive child. I'd have been terrified of Dementors as I used to have nightmares about sinister hooded figures
Even at the grand old age of 27 I discovered it wasn't a good idea to finish Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in a darkened house by myself at 2am  I couldn't get to sleep cos I was thinking about the scene with the Inferi in the cave, and it was freaking me out
I'm such a wuss!
johanne - ((((HUGS)))) - you're what, 20/21? So still young enough to be eligible for free advice through an organisation like Connexions. Have you tried anything like this? It sounds like you have problems in too many areas - work, depression, sleep deprivation, physical illness, debt - to be objective and take a look at which aspects of your circumstances might be the easiest to stabilise. Hopefully that will remove enough of the stress to enable you to look objectively at the rest of the problems and approach them in a constructive way.
Lunch will be Tesco Finest mushroom & madeira soup, bought reduced from £1.79 to 20pand dinner will probably be one of the two remaining portions of last night's dinner (chicken pasta with lemon and tarragon).
Hugs to anybody else who might need them and I'll try to pop back later.

Hello everybody,
I've absolutely had it today. I'm trying to rouse up enough energy to go and have a shower. Everything went wrong at work today. Went grocery shopping after work. Forgot to grab more boxes. Still no word about the house yet, DH rang up the real estate today but they never got back to us. He has to leave on Wed to go back to work on Thursday. I have a sinking feeling I am going to be left with packing up the house on my own.Would anybody like to come over and help me?:D
Good luck PP, and I hope all goes well. Hugs to everyone that needs them & have a great day.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Just got back from Tesco's where I have overspent massively
New healthy eating regime
I know it is not necessary to spend vast amounts of money in order to eat healthily-apples,bananas,carrots and lentils for instance, but I like to have variety and a few treats so have bought some smoked salmon for sandwiches,avocados,ready-prepared salad etc.Next week I will plan all our meals. Not sure I'll post the plan, you never know where these meal plan threads might lead ! I've also bought more fruit than usual for the kids to have as snacks because if I do my normal baked things for them guess who ends up eating most of it?
Nice to know I'm not the only Harry Potter fan over the age of 27! I'm currently listening to Half-Blood Prince.Don't know what I'll do when it's finished, start them all again I expect0 -
Morning all,
After two dreadful nights Fridah and Saturday, I was so knackered last night that I slept quite well, till the bloomin' fire alarm started beeping at 5.30 am, why does the battery always run down in the middle of the night!!!!????????? So got up and took it out, back to bed and slept till 9am....... WOW.
Horrid wet windy morning, I have bed linen in the washer, it can stay there until tonight, will put it on the airer before we go to bed tonight.
Really struggling to reach the end of the month shopping wise, but will just make it. We had chicken for supper last night, roast with all the trimmings, tonight will have the legs with mash, red wine gravy, brussels and leek.... tomorrow will be sausage and mash and the rest of the chicken with rive and peas on Wednesday. We will go shopping Wednesday, had hoped to last through to next week.... no way......
I totted up my Tesco points last night, well on my way for this Christmas's food shopping £32 already in the kitty..... no clubcard deals for us this year I'm afaraid Martin........
((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) to all who need them, and good luck PP, hope to see you back soon...............
