  • Morning guys and thanks for the lovely comments:D

Have to leave here about 8.30, but everything is done. Organised all I can and even done an easy meal plan for OH for 7 days. Enough food for breakies and lunch but may need to buy some extra fruit and veg later in the week. Anyways, hopefully my nice consultant will say I dont need to stay in but wont know till this afternoon:confused: DD is being dropped at her friends about 8.15 and is going back there after school if needed.

WM is on and basket is now empty. DW will need to go on either later or tomorrow morning. Toilet is cleaned and house is still clean and tidy.

OH is just doing breakie of toast and fruit and Ive done DD's lunchbox of sarnie, HM cake, appla, banana, pear, yogurt, crisps and bottle of water.

I have to go now and finish me bag and getting me clean knicks together. Hopefully will see you later, if not will get hubby to write something and let you guys know whats happening.

THanks for everything guys....your lovely...will miss ya.

    Good morning everyone,

Penny pincher - good luck today at the hospital, hopefully they let you come home, if not, hopefully they will be able to help with the pain etc, Loads of virtual hugs to you and your family today xxxxx(((((((())))))))

Snowy - Good luck with the essay

Johanna - Sorry the new job isnt going well, hope it improves soon!!

Racy - Hope you got some sleep!!!

Well, yesterdays Mothers Day was a complete no start, after shouting at DS and DD in the morning, for some reason (i suppose im not the best mum in the world) they decided that i didnt deserve anything, and everytime i approached them to try and 'make it up' i found them doing something else they wernt meant to. Spent the whole day either crying or cleaning (or both) not having my relaxing day with my 'wonderful' children!!!!! In the end, when i spoke to my mum (she lives about 75 miles away) i ended up breaking down on the phone, so she spoke to them, think she gave them a bit of an ear bashing, which is really unlike her as she always makes excusses for any bad behaviour (Nannys perogative!!) Anyway, then got sorry and tails between legs, but as it was 8.30 (past bed time) we have decided to put yesterday down as a bad day and celebrate mothers day next sunday instead.
So, i now feel better than i did yesterday (but that isnt hard) and dont have much to do, as i did most of it yesterday, do need to do the bathroom, and really should clean under the table in the kitchen, normally sweep it most days, and i clean the kitchen floor regularly too, but i never seem to get under the table (lazy, i know!!) but i think today is the day to do it. Have 2 little ones here, and they normally play nicely together so that should be good, and i also have my uncle who lives in Canada popping in for half an hour to visit, which will be really lovely, he never stays long, but will still be nice to see him.
No plans for dinner yet, im still not able to chew!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    :hello: Good morning everyone,
Catowen glad to hear things have cheered up a bit.
PP good luck at the hospital.
I'm off to the children's clinic with dd this afternoon. She is going to be properly tested for her allergies.Don't know if we'll get the results today or not.The tests should tell us which nuts she is allergic to and how severly.

Must get their breakfasts and pack their lunches, see you later.
  • Morning all :j

Very tired this morning, didn't go to bed till 1.00am  Fortunately I did my usual "ad break" - we were watching a film on tv, and everytime the ads came on I'd get up and wash up a little bit, wipe dow the sides, iron school uniforms etc - so everything got done and I still watched the film :rotfl:

Brekkie was cereal for DD and DH and coffee for me
Lunch will be packed lunches - all made ;)
Dinner will be ...... beef stew (I better get a move on and sling some stuff in the slow cooker before work :D )

It's the beginning of the end for me this week - it's the dreaded End of Year payroll    so there will be no chance of popping in here whilst at work this week at least!! Actually I love working under pressure I just hope the stupid woman sitting opposite me learns to STOP TALKING this week - I really need to concentrate, and there's a good chance I might shout at her this week if she carries on.... rant over (actually that's against my nature - but I might be found in the toilets hitting the wall :rotfl: )

TD on, WM on - I must get my BM out this week and make some bread I haven't done it for ages!!

Sending you warmest wishes Penny Pincher - I'll be thinking of you today.

    Byee
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Morning everyone

Well my day started off in a good mood but now ive just vented on another thread and am having my usual strgggle with myself over whether to leave what i typed and what i really feel or to go back and delete it to stop myself feeling guilty lol - this is sooo me.

    Anyway
three or four weeks ago i was invited to apply for promotion at work-decided not to bother - not sure i want the extra responsibility ( lots ) for little extra money.
However-typical me yet again - with the application closing date just a couple of days away i have decided to give it a go. so i was up till almost 4 am trying to fill out a very deep and horrible application form as well as prepare a ten minute presentation JUST IN CASE i get an interview. UGHHHH.

Managed to get several things off todays 'to do list' done yesterday so i am a little ahead of myself for once. OH will be here from New York for a week starting tomorrow so dont really want to be doing household chores then ( nudge nudge wink wink lol )

    Breakfast- porridge
    Lunch - ham sandwich
    Tea- Toad in the hole
then rhubarb and strawberry crumble from tinned fruits i found at back of cupboard.

Great result in my under the counter freezer search - found a nice frost free one at £50 off at currys yesterday.

PP - very best of luck for today.
SO - my mate did grooming at college and then went on to do pet massage and is now VERY busy working from home.
Johnna- i hope things get better for you soon, your post on the daily thread yesterday almost had me in tears. Big hugs.
Catowen - pleased to hear youre feeling better. Im sure next sunday will be lovely!
Thriftlady- all the best for your daughters tests this afternoon.

happy wishes to everyone and i hope your weather is better and brighter than ours this morning.

    Good Morning All

Really feeling the clocks change this morning, couldnt get to sleep last night for ages then found really hard getting up the new time this morning. Hopefully will appreciate it when its lovely and light this eve even though at the moment its dark & looks like it will tip it down today.

WM & DW emptied - washing on rads and BM on. OH is hoovering and Im in my office - gots loads to do and MUST do my VAT today. Also want to start decluttering my office as it looks terrible - going to do the 15 min thing and hopefully see an improvement by eow.

Also want to start eating healthier and doing more exercise from now on, put on weight at Xmas and on hol which has stayed there - didnt bother me too much when it was all hidden under winter clothes but now really fed up with it so lots of fruit/veg and water for me this week.

SnowyOwl - Im def going to do a college course this Sept, want to do something interesting like Cookery but should really do something that will help me in my work - gonna start looking in a couple of months but I havnt done a course for a couple of years and I do miss learning a new skill.

Anyway off to hit the books - hope you all have a good day.

Morning all. :grouphug: to everyone... it's Monday after all :p

DD is off school today - she's got a stinking cold (not something I'd subject the teachers too after this morning, even I was going ewwww! ), coughing everywhere and her glands are up  She's off tomorrow as well because of the UNISON strike so I've got 2 days to get her fighting fit again. I've decided we're going to have a Harry Potter marathon today while she lays on the sette under her quilt and I'll get on with jobs during the non "scary" bits (Troll in the school, Voldermorts appearance at the end of Philosophers stone when he's in the back of Quirrells head, The Basilisk and she's never seen "Prisoner of Azkaban" so I'll watch all of that with her since there's Dementors and a werewolf  ) She's only 20 minutes into the first one and she's sitting there open mouthed :rotfl:

    Jobs for today are :
    • Washing up
    • Beds need making and bedrooms given a quick tidy
    • Ironing
    • Washing but only the clothes, bedding and towels can wait until a dry day.
Anything else will be a bonus!

Better go and do the bedrooms etc while Harry Potter isn't too scary :D:rotfl:

    Morning all

PP - Good luck at the hospital
Moggins - Nice to see you back
Hugs to the rest of you that need them....

After a pretty naff mothers day (I had to remind DH to remind DD's to make a card and had to dish out a box of chocs from my christmas leftover cupboard for him to give to them to wrap up for me) and a very hectic weekend, I'm fit for nothing today.

We all overslept - we were all in filthy moods and everyone has left the house moaning and groaning.....don't you love monday mornings!

I'm off shopping with a friend - I'm going to treat myself to something nice and then come home to a big deep bubble bath before getting the kids from school.

Brekkie - chucked some cereal at DD's
Lunch - Salami rolls, fruit and more fruit for DD's
Tea - No idea - I might go on strike

    Have a great day all.
