    afternoon all
not been a round much this weekend - had people over for dinner last night and OH was up for the weekend. had a great evening - SC chilli with cornbread, followed by chocolate mousse from black-saturn's menu planner. all went down very well, so well in fact that i don't think i'm going to have as many lunches taken care of this week with leftovers.... n'er mind!

off to heat up some chilli in a bit, happy mother's day to everyone who's a mother, and MATH too! my dad's birthday is close to father's day so he lost out completely on that. and at the church i went to down south, we did indeed have services about going back to the mother church and all that - it does happen :)!

    Evening..

Poorly sick (AGAIN) hate my new job (AGAIN) Being bullied by a snotty female boss (AGAIN)... ugh.

Staying off tomorrow as just cant smile or talk properly due to 5 mouth ulcers, 6 tongue blisters (yknow the little ones from biting/burning your tongue) and swollen bleeding and im guessing infected gums! :( Got told on saturday my miserable face and my appearance (i.e. not makeup-ed to high heavens etc) look was putting off customers coming into the store!!!!!!!..So not willing to go in tomorrow feeling this rubbish - looking like a hamster and feeling fragile like i do as i spent over an hour on saturday walking round Chester crying my eyes out on the phone to my mum and OH on my dinner hour cos i wanted to come home as have had enough of the torment off my manager and the pushy sales nature (which is against everything i believe in) of my new job :(:(

Got someone coming tomorrow from the rent service too to assess my house for reasonable rent cos i WAS claiming housing benefit..... recieved my 1st cheque the other day for it and worked outthey have paid me £36.66 a week in housing benefit!!!!!! HOOOOWW can i find a place that rents that cheaply?!! Even cheap student accomadation around here is £50-60 at LEAST!

Am at dire straits money wise..... am £1600 in debt on my credit card.... £87 overdrawn in the bank.... and owe my parents (no urgency required to pay it back) approximetly £70 at least!!!! Dont get paid for another month :(:( So by time i do get paid i will be £800 overdrawn....

And will only be approximetly £940 for 6 weeks pay. So if im lucky i'll have £140 in the bank to pay the next months £700+ worth of outgoings! :(:( I also know i will be £20 a month SHORT every month on my wages paying all my outgoings!! :(

Totally fed up!! Dont feel like im ever gonna be above negative/break even.. and getting a life.... or find a job im happy in that doesnt make me ill!!! :(

Sorry to go on everyone....1st post in a week and im moaning! :(

Trying to go OS + MSE again.... have come up with a storecupboard main meals list and i can last another 28 days without having to go shopping for evening main meals ...so theres one way to cut back!!! Going to head over to the pack lunch threads to find out how i can make a cheap healthy lunch to take to work that i can eat outside in a park etc (hate sitting in work for dinner) instead of crisps/chocolate/ham barm which is what ive been taking!

Need to do some baking and batch cooking too as im too tired to do it when i get home from work after being out for least 12.5 hours!!! Least then i'll have something cheap and healthier and homemade instead of heading the shops/chippy (and having to borrow more money off mum to pay for it!!) or just snacking on rubbish as am then headin to bed and havent got the energy/time to cook a big meal..!!

Think this is why im ill.. ive resorted back to junk food, arent sleeping properly because of my work schedule and im stressed cos i hate the job and know at the end of the day it doesnt even pay enough to pay the bills anyway so im doing it all for nothing really?! Except keeping my overdraft £100s of pounds in debt instead of £1000s.

Anyway off to finish cleaning up and washing dishes! Need the house to look presentable for tomorrow morning at 9am and i just dont have the energy!!!!!!

    (((hugs everyone)))

    I've been Money Tipped!
My lovely grown up dd and ds came home on the train for the weekend and after a trip to the supermarket to buy all the food they between them made a lovely roast beef dinner with all the trimmings! It was so nice to be so spoilt and not to have do the cooking or washing up. It was also lovely to see them blossom when I heaped lots of praise on them, it truly was a lovely dinner and a lovely day. We watched the wallace and gromet dvd with them before oh drove them home.
Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

(((Hugs))) Johanne, im sorry to hear things arent going too well with the new job. I must admit, when I first started my current job it took me about 3 months to actually get into the swing of things and hated it too. I feel better about it now but I still dont want to go to work tomorrow after having a week off!! Ive broken the repetitive cycle of work, eat, work, sleep and its going to be a tough two weeks getting back into it.

I think my problem was that I am so used to having stacks of time to myself as a student, and to then go to 9-5 monday - friday plus loads of saturdays all of a sudden, was just a bit of a shock to the system. I did spend the first three months in misery, and wanted to quit every single day. My turning point was xmas however, when I realised that working was not something I could simply opt out of, and I had to simply accept it and do it. I could have changed my job but I looked at it from an outsiders perspective, and figured other places probably werent as good and I simply couldnt be bothered to go through the whole hassle of looking for something else.

Ive just re-read what I wrote and realised it looks a little... err... unsympathetic, but I really dont mean it to sound like that!! Im just trying (in my sleepy mind) to say that I understand a little how you are feeling and ((hugs)) - I just went on a waffle about my experience for some reason :o

    Well night all
    big hugs to everyone
I have had a good day
spent last night at my mums and spent all morning with her my kids and my lil bro and sis, Got some choc and a card when dp got back from footie then came home to another h/m card and h/m flowers from dd 6 yo , dp bought lunch of pate rolls crisps and more choc, Then we went to the local pub for tea in celebration of sil birthday, so have not touched a sauce pan all day :j
Grandad sean is doing better, so that is some comforting news, feel guilty though As I think i gave my fil my cold so he couldn't see him properly :o

Off to have a proper look at the house tomorrow and should be moved in by this time next weekend  It's quite scary.
We are still in battle with the local housing association as they want to take down the garage and we really don't want them too as it would be so much easier if dp could have one on sight, due to his work and junk
    right sees you all tomorrow

Johanne, I'm sorry to hear that you're not impressed with your new job. It's complete carp I know to be unhappy at work as it is such a major part of life. Don't give up looking for an alternative position - you may stumble across something which isn't such a trek away. In the meantime, the only thing I can say is to try and not take it too personally. Yes, they want you to be smothered in make up, but that I expect is the same for all the girls there. Unfortunately power hungry bags at work are all too common, I am sure many of us have experienced at least one in our work. Have you given any more thought about letting a room out? That might ease things a bit in the short-term.

At the moment I'm putting the finishing touches to my essay - it's due tomorrow (Monday). OK, so I have wandered to MSE for a bit of a break, but the essay is finished. I just have ten pages of hand-written notes to type up. When I started I wondered how I was going to fill even a single page, now it looks like I'll have to do a slash job to get the word count under control.

Have to get tyres for my car tomorrow - I forgot all about it on Saturday. MoT is on Tuesday so not much choice but to do it tomorrow!

Anyway, see ya all in the morning.

    Morning everyone

    It's Monday. Never mind...

I haven't been to bed yet, have been doing an essay. Oh I do sound like a broken record don't I! However the good news is that I only have two more essays to do for this course, then the course will be over for good! I have to decide what I am going to do in September. I'm thinking of Cat and Dog Grooming (yes really!!), flower arranging, cooking for fun, photography or nothing at all. Whatever I choose I don't mind going to college two nights a week, but I do mind having to do homework, private study and getting myself worked up into a quivering wreck because of exams. I am still interested in going to university but I think as a full-time student who works part-time, rather than the other way around. And it won't be until 2007.

Have to get my wheels sorted today - on Saturday I completely forgot that I have two baldy tyres, so will do a mad dash at lunchtime to get them changed in time for the MoT on Tuesday. The mechanic hasn't come back to me to tell me how much the final bill is for the bits of work he did. To say they are easy going over here is a total understatement. When I lived in England I used to insist that they phone me for approval before doing anything which needed doing on top of a normal service. Here - N.Ireland - they look you like you've got two heads if you ask them to do so (well in my experience so far they do!).

Penny Pincher - not sure if you'll have time to pop in before you go off to the hospital today. If you have to stay in for a while perhaps you could get your OH or DD to let us know? You know we'll just worry if we don't hear from you. But whatever happens I hope it goes well and that it brings about some relief from the problems you've been experiencing.

Johanne - sorry to hear about your job, you are having a poopy time aren't you. Try not to take it personally...and do definitely keep looking for another job. You spend too much time at work to not be happy with it, and it seriously doesn't matter if you leave a job soon after starting it (I have years and years experience in HR and I wouldn't say that if it wasn't true).

    Hope everyone else is well.

    Bye.

    Morning SnowyOwl, Morning everyone

I've been to bed and got up and been back to bed and got up again, had an early brekkie (or is it a late supper  ). Searched for magazine subs, browsed Ebay and I have even been reading last week's budget notes  ANYTHING to get me off to sleep, nothing worked... but I guarantee that my body will finally decide it needs some sleep at about 6:30am, just as I should be getting up  . Right, one last cup of herbal tea before I resort to the sledgehammer.

PP lots of luck hun, I hope they don't keep you in.

    Have a great day everyone.
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D
