    :T Congratulations Mini P-P :j

Still below zero here although the roads are clear. DS2 has a piano exam this afternoon and I've lost the letter telling me where it is, although I think I know so I shall have to check the Assoc Board website in a minute.

Am waiting in for a Tesco wine delivery this am - with 20% off and one of the codes it came to about £2.20 a bottle - so I HAD to order it!!!!

DH is on his way home today - turkey curry tonight with some chapattis lurking in the fridge. Might make some pretzels this afternoon as I have to make some rolls in the BM. Made an oatmeal and maple syrup loaf yesterday which wasn't as sweet as you would think.

Funny sort of day today - I just can't seem to get my head round it - will try some more coffee in a minute and see if that does the trick :rotfl:

well done to pennypinchers daughter :j

and could I just ask, is your ebay selling a business? if not and it's just personal how does it affect your benefits? I mean as it isn't a set amount each month, do you have to declare it?
I've thought about buying to sell on ebay but worry about all the associated paperwork and tax implications etc

    Morning all

WELL DONE MINI P-P THATS FANTASTIC NEWS.

kIWI- Hope all goes well today on the housing front.

Got two more houses to put in for through yesterday. Have said yes to one , but not sure about the other, Went and had a look last night at the outside and it seemed ok, but everyone has said the area is quite rough and its a long long walk to school. Am so desparate I might say yes any way.
The trouble is we are on different positions on the list for the different areas (very complex system here) so the area we want we are 7 and the areas we don't particully want are higher 3 and 4th.
Wish I could find way to get more points withiut being sectioned :rotfl: We will get a few more in april due to being on the list so long, but really wanted to be moved by then. It's DDs birthday in may and I Pray we are moved by then. Sorry rambling.
not a lot to do today, just general house work.
I bought a frozen chicken a few weeks ago and cooked it yesturday, never again will I buy non free range organic chicken, the poor thing had amonia burns on its stomach, so glad I don't eat meat, I felt so guilty for even buying it. And apparently didn't taste as nice as usual either.
    Hugs to all

:j Well done PPs daughter :T

I guess you'll have to start saving now for the school uniform. Actually, my mum preferred it by the time we got to secondary school as i had grown to full size, and actually took better care of my clothes, so although it was pricy, it lasted longer. Your daughter must be so excited.

It's a cold but nice day here today again. Isn't it amazing how different the weather is in different places.

The window cleaners are coming round, so i think i'll get them to do the back of the house as well today as its a bit grim from a bird flying into the window, and the fascias being replaced a few weeks ago. Not OS i know, but supporting local business, and its my one luxury. Most of the people i work with have ladies come to their house to clean and iron, so i still do well.

I need to get WM and BM on, and make a few phonecalls. I should do some dusting as well, and flick the hoover round downstairs from the kittens running around. The hair gets everywhere.

((((((hugs)))))) for kiwichick. Your situation isn't really fair. Why is house moving so difficult. Ours was a chain of just us and the lady we bought off. She was moving into an empty house, we were moving from a rented house. I took the day off work expecting the sale to go through by 12:00. I had to go and camp out at the estate agents at 4:30 as i hadn't heard anything, and it was the Friday before bank holiday. The sale went ahead about 5:30, and the woman didn't get out of my house until 9pm. Fat chance of moving anything in that day, and i was so stressed, and fuming i couldn't get into my house. Turned out the woman had hired removal men on the cheap in the understanding that they would move someone else first that day. Then the woman had the cheek to say our solicitor had been the one holding things up, and thats why we were late in....... Try not to get stressed. If you can put any of your things in friends/familys loft/garage that will make it a bit cheaper, and as someone said, a holiday let might be a good idea, or something with perhaps a months rent. The estate agent should be able to sort it. I'll be thinking of you.
