Well it's been snowing here - about 2-3inches overnight, but it got me out of bed as I didn't believe OH when he said it had been snowing :rotfl: Unfortunately OH has to travel up the M62 & M6 to get to work _pale_ I'm waiting for a text message from him to say he's arrived safe. He usually gets in about 8.20 I think but considering there was a 40mph speed limit on the M62... _pale_

I've got the radio on incase DD's school is closed (some of the teachers come from Wales region where it is still snowing!) but DD has this wonderful habit of talking just as they anounce the school closures :doh: Got DD's wellies and my boots out as ATM we're still going to school, but at least it's only 5 minutes walk (down the road, round the corner, 2 short blocks, round the corner and down the road to the gate) I just hope they don't let DD's class play out!!!!

Right, DD fed (Ready break bought on BOGOF and a hot mug of hot chocolate) and I'm done. Now it's time to brave the bathroom to get her washed etc before wrapping her up!!

Oh, well done Mini PP :j

Really really cold this morning. I was outside helping O/H scrap the ice off the car at 6.30am in my Pj's & coat :eek:

Loads of admin to do today as the VAT is due shortly :mad: and its coming up to our year end so piles of paperwork over the dining room table, will be eating in the kitchen tonight me thinks.

Want to pop onto the market after dropping DD off at pre-school to get some rhubard for a crumble, this cold weather makes me crave hot puddings but dosen't do much for my waistline. Hey ho....

Breakfast was: porridge & fresh orange
Lunch: tuna & sweetcorn toastie
Dinner: Liver & bacon cass, mash & veg, rhubard crumble and loads of custard!

Anyway time to get wrapped up and brave the cold, have a good day and keep warm,

Well done PP junior! I still remember the day my 11+ results arrived, over 20 years ago! (Yes, I got into the Grammar school too).

I only came online to check the weather - I've got to go over to the Wirral this morning for a meeting but the M53 is covered in snow by all accounts. Dilemma.......................

Kitchen sorted.....on to tackle living room [I wanna know who the other 20 people who actually make the mess in my house are???]

Congratulations to mini PP

Having a clear out day today in DD1 and DD2 bedroom!!! Who knows what horrors i might find!!!! Cleaned out kitchen yesterday from top to bottom it now looks lovely just hope it stays that way!! OH is still on holiday so he doesnt go back til monday so i will only be popping in and out on the threads til then.

Serious Conga-rats to Mini PP, the right school can be so important.

Very icy on the way into work today and strangely quiet. I was no earlier than usual, but the tube to wembley park was half-full & the bus-route mostly empty, so I got to work at 8.15am rather than 8.40 as usual. Cold but very useful.

Spent yesterday evening over at the new house filling in all the dents & cracks in the plaster whilst I waited for the gas engineer who rang at 8pm to say he was stuck in south london. So that's rescheduled for the weekend - it's a good thing the damp people haven't got back to me with a date as they charge £60 if they turn up and the radiators are still on the walls they are fixing.

Woke up with a swollen sholder this morning - feels very tight and sore - no idea what I've done but I'm not impressed.

The dishwasher broke last night - We're assuming it's an electrical problem but it was on for an hour before we realised it hadn't done its stuff and it smells of burning inside now.......I'll get my dad to have a quick look tomorrow but I think it's probably going to be dumped. Our local water company was given "water scarcity status" yesterday and meters are going to be installed a.s.a.p to all homes - we can do without the dishwasher and it will free up more room......Everyone argues over who's going to unload it anyway!

Brekkie - Cereal for kids - I've not felt like it yet
Lunch - Must get some bread going for a sarnie
Dinner - Sausage and jacket potatoes.

Only one little one here today - he's been up since about 4am so will be ready to go to bed in a bit. Ebay stuff is going well - got 12 items with bids on and all the others are on watch, 5 days to go....
