    congrats Miss Penny-Pincher :j :T

Snowed here over night, DS was like a headless chicken all the way to school, throwing snowballs at DD and running and sliding on his knees. Their school had the children come to school in their PJ's today to celebrate national book day but DS refused as he said it was a naff idea he'd have much rather gone in fancy dress like his friends school were doing, tried the compromise of having him wear his disney peter pan PJ's but to no avail, though in the spirit of national book day he did insist on taking lots of books to school as he wanted to share them with the other kids in his class.

Not much happen in the way of OS here today have just rushed in from the dentist to pick up my bag and head back out the door but while at the dentist jotted down a few recipes from the magizines, hopefully mighht try one or to next week.

    Breakfast: porriage and apple
    Lunch: chicken sandwhich and banana
Dinner: Chicken curry for adults, kids out for dinner

Hope you all have a lovely day

    Hi All
Haven't posted on daily thread recently have been really busy, just spent ages going through lastest few days posts. Phew!
PennyPincher - well done to your DD, I'm sure you are v proud
KiwiChick - sorry to hear about the mix up with your house, I hope all gets sorted. Hugs to everyone who has been unwell , or who just wants a hug.
Had a nightmare few days, I managed to accidentally close DD fingers in the car door on Sunday (the guilt I have felt is like none I have ever felt before). She is ok, we took her to the Dr, they are badly bruised and swollen but are settling down now. She is holding them like a little broken wing, refusing to use them - although when she thinks you aren't looking they seem to be working perfectly (little madam!!) I've been in work all week, and its been busy because there are a lot of people off sick. I am off tomorrow and Monday, which is great. OH and I are heading to London for the weekend - childfree! :T :rotfl: Tonight I am going to see Mamma Mia with my mum -i bought her the tickets for Christmas. I'm really looking forward to it.
I will have a quick scoot round the house to tidy up when I get home - OH is off this morning and is apparently tidying up - so I will just need to tidy it up to " my standards" :rotfl:
    B:banana and bran flakes
    L:Pasta in tomato Sauce, yogurt
D:mmm, good point, what is for dinner?! Something quick and easy, possibly pasta and sauce for kids. I think there are plenty of "leftover surprises" in my freezer, I'll have that.

    Have a good day everyone

Apologies for not reading through any of today's posts (yet!!)

OMG!!! I'm shaking, crying, laughing, running around in little circles!! Simply don't know WHERE to put myself!!!

After all the c-rap that our little family has had to endure I couldn't be more proud of that kid!!!! I could eat him all up! (without butter!!!)

Can't wait until he gets home.

And ... on top of that, had my hair done this morning and it looks a real treat AND .... bagged myself half a lamb - yes a HALF A LAMB for just £23 (haven't opened the bag yet to check the contents so I'll have to post about that later)

    But ... OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I must have done *something* right the past 7mths :j :j :j :j :j :j

Must go wash my face and put some waterproof mascara on.

Oh and I need to update the pin money at some point too (other bargains)

Oh and if anyone has a Holland & Barratt - they have some great reductions/offers on at the moment on their packets of fruits.

    Oh yes and finally ....

    Congratulations
Fab news on the 11+ front for PP and Queenie................we're so lucky round here that our kidlets don't have to go through all that. Always nice to hear good news!!
All is well here- I'm going to rename Thursday as blue bottomed fly day in our household because I do nothing but whizz around.
Before work I'd tidied up the house, made the beds etc and hoovered throughout and then spent the morning at college. At 39 I'm back to having to do homework again  ..........all the old excuses for not getting on with it have come out of mothballs :rotfl:
Shall whip into town and see if I can get the small person a book with his World Book Day voucher he gave me yesterday and then it's home to do packed lunches etc before Beavers. Thankfully it's not my week to help or do the ferrying around as I've got to fit a weekly shop at Tesco before OH trundles up to the NEC to do a weekend show tomorrow.
Tonight it's going to be pasta tossed in olive oil, lemon juice and black pepper and perhaps a bit of honey served with any herbs I can find lurking in the freezer and the leftover courgette and sweetcorn...........doesn't sound a bit like a bottom of the fridge meal does it!!! :D
When I finally I get home I shall collapse with a cuppa and a beetroot and chocolate muffin which I finally got round to making last night
