    Congrats to PP's little baby!!!!!!

Its great isn't it when they achieve something that makes you REALLY pround of them, I know you had your doubts as to whether she had made it...... WELL DONE, give her a (((((((((((((HUG))))))))))))) from me.........

Conintuing to improve, this is the last day of my medication, its another lovely morning, but we had a very hard frost last night, everything was very white when I got up at 7am. Going out for my walk in a little while after I have hung out my washing, WM on overnight, thanks to yesterdays double burst I have now finsihed and for once my laundry basket is EMPTY until tonight of course LOL.

Bacon pasta for supper tonight, will be instructing OH how to do it, tomato sauce is in the freezer so just needs defrosting and the bacon and pasta cooked and them all combining, slald and garlic bread to go with it.

Monday starts the new regieme in this house, OH will be starting back to his summer gardening soon, so I have planned to do specific jobs the mornings he is out, Bowls too satrts in April, so Thursdays and the occasional Saturday will need to be looked at, Thursday Iplan to be My day...... doing something I want to do.

A friend contacted me yesterday and asked if we could house sit the dog in May, so 5 days away, guess there will be little jobs lined up for us to do, but thats not a problem.......

Right I am off to get started........... all the best to those who are still feeling poorly, hope you feel better soon and ((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))) to anyone who needs them, hope everything pans out for you kiwichick..............

  • DD has asked me to say "thank you so much for the lovely comments". A big thank you from OH & I too. Youve all been so lovely as usual.

I have stopped shaking now and am so happy for her. The pass rate in the borough had gone from 78% last year too 86% this year:eek: DD got 91% so she did do well. All those practice papers we did with her paid off, although she didnt apreciate them at the time....LOL.

Its a mixed school which I think is good. Went to a girls grammar and was soooo !!!!!y and boy mad!! It is known best for the drama, art and sciences which she needs if she continues to do her Zoology degree:rolleyes: animal mad she is...LOL.

She is a remarkable young girl, dont know if Ive mentioned before but she is also partially sighted with just 30% vision in one eye and 50% in the other and is counted as disabled. This has never stopped her from doing anything and is a true warrior.

OH is taking me to lunch (greasy spoon) then we are treating her to a phone she has been after for ages but has always been around £200, but in Carphone Warehouse ATM its on pay as you go for £80, so hopefuly they will have some in stock.

    Thanks again

    Hugs to everyone.

    Morning everyone

Many congrats to Little Miss P-P :j:j :D

A cold but bright start here this morning, but not a flake of snow - much to the boys' dismay :)

All was going well - having a slow start - me and DS2 have just been wrestling and tickling each other in our bed. Beats getting up to clean :rotfl: Also, very good for the health - a good laugh. But then I got an email from an online rental company. Was doing their 5 dvd's or 21 days free - had it all in my diary etc. Sent the 5th one back but noticed they had already debited my CC. Emailled them yesterday to say I wanted a refund confirmation and then I was going to cancel, but they've sent my 6th one out anyway!! I have emailled again today to say that as they'd already taken my money early and I was in dispute - I still want a refund. May contact my CC company and see if they can withhold it? Grrrr - £10 I didn't want to spend. Maybe they've cottoned on to everyone having the freebies and going, so they are taking your money earlier  We'll see.

I have 2 full baskets of ironing to get through soon, plus more in WM and on airers. May do some this afternoon and eave the rest till tonight. As ever, the human tornadoes seem to have wrecked all the cleaning I did yesterday :( Never mnd.

B: porridge with sultanas, linseeds and prunes
L: houmous and beetrooton rye bread
D: Pasta meal - may make up tomato/cream cheese stir through sauce.

Have a good day everyone :D

Well done to the Penny Pinchling :T :T
We are eagerly awaiting the letter telling us whether thriftling number one has got a place at school of choice.Apparently he has, because one of the mums at school is married to the admissions officer and he says all the children who applied to school in question have been accepted.Letters were sent yesterday by second class post(cheapskates or OS?) so we're expecting to here for sure tomorrow.

I'm going to start a school uniform fund as everything has to have the school badge on.I'm hoping ds will be careful with his clothes so that they can be passed on to ds2 when his turn comes. Not very likely,he came home from school yesterday with the patch I'd carefully and thriftily sewn on his trouser knee all picked off. When interrogated about this he said 'what else was i supposed to do in a boring maths lesson?'.I was not impressed.

In fact I'm not impressed with any of my children at the moment. They seem to show little appreciation for the things I do for them.I bought new plastic food tubs for their lunchboxes because one of them had left one at school, and now one of the new ones has disappeared.Ds1 has lost his pencil case and contents and dd has lost her PE kit.Neither of them care that I'm having to replace them.Dd has chewed all the buttons on her school cardigan so that they all have a sharp edge, and she has picked a hole in the sleeve where the cuff is sewn on.

Tbh I'm thankful to see the back of them when they go to school...oh and ds2's impetigo looks like it's back, not his fault I know but it's just another little annoyance.

So today,OH is on a first aid course here in Worcester so will be home for lunch which will be nice.I'm going to make the most of my child-free time and not do very much at all ;)

:j WELL DONE MINI PENNY PINCHER :j

More snow here overnight so wont be moving far today although DH has just phoned to say he's taking a half day from work to come home and go sledging with us - DD is 3 and DS is 1 so difficult to take both of them by myself. Treated myself to a Tesco online shop last night (first time ever) as the snow bad and I really dont like driving in it - just have to see whether they deliver it now or if it'll be cancelled with weather.
Going to make a banana loaf with DD shortly - trying to bake something everyday just now, DD loves helping in the kitchen and it passes some time when were stuck inside.
No playschool today which means ballet class has also been cancelled - will tell DD later as cant face the crying when she realises it'll be another week before she goes.
DW and WM on, TD getting a rest as heating is on so will use that to dry clothes instead
Hope everyone has a good day

Well I got a text from OH at 8.30 saying he'd arrived at work. I'm assuming everything is okay as I've heard nothing else and he's on MSN so :)

So far I've made the beds (put an extra blanket on each of them as my feet were freezing when I woke up this morning and that was with the heaters on low and winter tog quilts!!), tidied bedrooms up and hung the washing from yesterday which hadn't dried on hangers in the bedrooms to finish off. Hoovered the livingroom again (I got dried mud on it this morning from my boots :o ), mopped the floor where necessary due to muddy footprints. WM is on (DD wet herself yesterday as she was so engrossed in doing her homework she didn't make it to the toilet  ) with a mixed lot, I didn't have enough washing to make seperate loads and there is no way I was leaving it to fester  I should be fine, nothing has ever run before when I've done an "emergency" mixed load ;) I also need to rewash the towels I washed yesterday, I forgot about them (DD pressed the button to switch the "I've finished but still switched on" light off so I completely forgot about it!) and they need to be rewashed now. Oh well, I think I'll split it into two loads though this time.

Done some surveys and once I've done a batch of dishes I'll be setting to on the ebay listings...I didn't know about the 50% day!!! ATM I only have 2 items selling and OH hasn't any, so it looks like I'll have a quiet week next week when it comes to posting stuff :rotfl: Right, I'd better get on

    Hello again,

Second day of joining in on this thread.

No snow here (boo), just bloomin' freezing.

Made 2 quiches last night, one for dinner & another we have taken to work for lunches today. Was first time I had tried making my own & it took about 3 hours from starting to make pastry to taking them out of the oven, so used up my evening well. Were very tasty though even if I do say so myself so was well worth the effort, & better than sitting on my bottom watching TV all evening!

    So,
    Lunch: Quiche Lorraine, banana, apple
    Dinner: Corned Beef Hash

    Keep warm!

    Well done PP junior :j

Have spent all morning trying to "debug" the computer - so fingers crossed.

May make stuffed pancakes tonight for DDs and I will have spag bol which I made yesterday.

Trying like mad not to go shopping when I run out of something but to think of an alternative from what I already have in the house.

Just about to hang out some more washing and then have a coffee.
