Hi, We put offer in on house March 13th... our application for funding on the purchase was received by KHE on March 19th... STILL waiting.. everytime I call I get no info... just "we dont give timescales" I know I shouldnt call but the wait with not knowing anything is a killer... We missed out on buying one thru KHE this time last year as they wouldnt believe I was pregnant, then they put us in the wrong funding area and funded everyone then realised we were wrong and put us into the correct funding area, they allocated everyone funds BUT us!!! so I have NO faith in KHE abilities at all... I prepare to eat my words????

still waiting and getting even more worried if the funding is going to run out before we get a look in. we have asked for 75 000 thinking we have asked above the odds???
  • Hi all,

We've finally received our approval for funding in writing (Yay!) - it's taken exactly 2 months. We've been instructed to start legal proceedings and surveys etc and so I would imagine a few other people on here will hear some good news too over the next few days.

    Good luck!

Hope all goes well from here on for you Amberlindsay. Our buyers still not heard anything except to forward some original paperwork, that was 2 weeks ago, hope they haven't gone back to the bottom of the pile! Aaargh! Papers went in on 17th March, waiting is a nightmare, the house we were going to buy on selling ours is now back on the market as vendors fed up of waiting, bitterly disappointed but can't say as I blame them. Good luck everyone else.

Thanks Charliebro (fingers crossed) - I completely sympathize with your situation too; you're stuck in the middle of this huge delay caused by the gov't funders (it must be particularly frustrating because you don't have the ability to influence any of it). Hopefully your vendor may still have his/her property on the market by the time your buyers funding comes though; which, if it takes the same amount of time as us, should be any day now.

If it's any consolation (which I'm sure it's not); the fact that you've stuck with your buyers means that you will have made one person/family, very very happy/grateful that you are so patient...I hate to quote from that well known programme on E4, but "Do good things and good things will happen" ;)

    Morning all

In answers to some of the questions the latest one of my client's to receive the ok was eve0123 (see above post) who's docs were sent on 10/3/09.

I have also spoken to KHE today about a few of my clients who details were sent before this. It would appear that KHE have to send the original application form over to Orbit for them to approve (KHE say that all applications were sent over to Orbit in April )- it is then requested back by KHE before they can allocate.

I know this may seem like a long winded process (because it is) but as Orbit took over that part of the process KHE have no choice but to do it this way round as they are no longer authorised to accept someone onto the schemes.

I will also try and speak to someone at Orbit to get an update on their timescales.

    Thanks

    Matt

our property details went in on 26th March. I have been calling religiously every week and finally this week they were able to confirm that the papers have actually been received, but as it all went recorded i was aware of that anyway....

KHE told me yesterday that they have only one lady processing the apps so really not holding any hope of this happening. I have also heard that Orbit misplaced some-ones initial stage apps (property details rec'd 19th March) and this has taken weeks to sort out. Initially KHE told me that only app received after 1 April would go to Orbit but that obviously was not quite how it happened.

Some-one was also told KHE is processing 24th March but KHE denied this!

Happy though that some people can finally move to their own homes, maybe one day we can too!
  • Receieved a letter today stating that KHE had written to us asking for additional information and now that a month has passed without reply our application has been returned to the homebuy agent. I phoned KHE regarding this as i have not received any letters from them.
The reason i have been told this has happened is like the above our application went back to Orbit when they took over some of the process on April 1st. KHE have confirmed this is their fault as our application should of been put with our case rather than being sent off. Hopefully this will not add more time to the process.
When speaking with KHE they confirmed our case was received on the 24th March but as yet have not got to this date yet.
