I spoke to another unhelpful lady at KHE yesterday and the line is as usual that they don't know what will happen. Apparently if you haven't had a call or letter of allocation from KHE then you will not be getting any post from them.

When I asked what will happen now, they didn't know. KHE told me that the apps might be posted back to the IFA's. Whether they will get more money is not know, or when this might be and also they couldn't tell me what the situation is with the current outstanding apps or anything really.

They did however offer to discuss part buy part rent schemes, nearest being in a village i have never heard of and not local by any means!

So all in all total waiste of time!

Does anyone know what the complaint procedure with KHE is??? Can't be asked to phone them to enquire as they would not know anyway! SUCH a JOKE - unfortunatlely not very funny one!

What are the chances of funding becoming availabe again soon or even this year?
If funding does become available again soonish, do KHE just pick up where they left off with applications or do we all need to resend applications for funding when funding is back?

    Anthony

I was told that they keep you application to the SCHEME open but they destroy you application on the particular house you wanted, so needless to say when they get funding again, which will probably be this time next year (as that is when it came in again from last year).. you have to find another house and re-apply opening you up to all this rubbish again!!

Oh to win the lotto and be able to go it alone LOL

Also, if anyone does know how to complain please let me know as I would love too, I know a few ppl from here have reported KHE to watchdog, but whether it will do any good Im not sure.

    Hello

We got approved for funding a couple of wks ago but have been told that we we cant progress to the next stage until they have cleared the back log. we have found a property and im getting quite concerned now that the funding will run out before they start accepting any new applications.
I was wondering if anyone else was in the same situation or if anyone has any idea when khe may start accepting applications again???

    Thanks

Hi, Do you mean you got a letter to say that you are funded for the house you want to buy now? Or a letter to say you have been accepted on the scheme? We have been on the scheme over a year now, nearly 2, we have applied for 2 different houses, one this yr one last and lost out on funding to BOTH of them... I dont think I will bother next yr lol I will be 50 before I get anywhere with KHE (I'm 28 now!!)

I got approved for joining the scheme June 2008 - missed out the first time on funding in November 2008.

was informed by Keyhomes East funding was available from April 2009 - found house - offor accepted - sent application for funding 19th March 2009.

After my Financial Advisor chased was told original application was sent to Orbit and had not been returned.

Orbit finally returned application 8th May - got letter from Orbit stating was approved for scheme ??????????

Got another letter from Keyhomes 9th May informing us we were approved on scheme again 9th May?????????

Partner rang Keyhomes East 10th May that funding was all allocated and we had missed out.

At no point did anyone call me we had to call them. Orbit informs me Keyhomes East should have sent us letter telling us about Orbit - did not receive.

Orbit is blaming keyhomes East and Keyhomes East is blaming Orbit.

I still dont have a complete answer - I am writing a letter of complaint.

I was told by KHE that you have re-apply for funding the next time they have funding available - bacically you start all over again

Until they prioritise this scheme to the neediest, it’s a waste of time. It’s a profit making exercise and they do not care who takes the funding. I know a husband and a wife, both full time police offers with no children who got funding, 25% I believe. There is no way they should have been applicable with a combined income over 50k, even if they are “key workers”.

THIS SCHEME EXISTS TO MAKE MONEY NOT TO HELP PEOPLE.

I am getting angrier with this by the minute. I am over now loosing the house, however the inconsistency of the information is unbelievable. They don't call people,or write to them, there have been occasions that i was told not to ring as it will delay them! No-one would go or this if there was another way .. It doesn't matter that my eldest will not have a bed big enough to sleep in in 6 months time as cannot fit one in to their bedroom!!!

And it's not just that - feel bad for the vendor, IFA and the estate agents as they all waisted their time too.

Odds winning a lottery are better than KHE. I will be writing a letter, maybe should do a circular?!!LOL - or maybe cry?
  • I have today been advised the KHE have stopped all the funding now, which means we have no other way of buying a house.

It's either renting and never buying or living our married life with our parents!!

I have no idea what to do any more it really sucks

I have heard that there is no complaints procedure for KHE and I have searched and searched their website and there is no other way of contacting other than by their postal address, email or phone call.

I have sent a complaint by email but not sure if it'll get anywhere, our mortgage advisor also heard that other people she was dealing with were going to approach their MP's and complain as well as the local press/media.
Our mortgage advisor/IFA is as annoyed with the scheme as we are. So much so, she has told us that she is no longer going to deal with KHE.

I don't think they or the government are going to get much good press out of this.

    I feel so let down
