  • Hi All,

We are in the same boat as most of you, we sent our application to key homes east on approx 26th March, we have tried to contact them on 3 occasions but still get the same answer.
The thing that is most frustrating is that we don't even know if they have even received our app for all we know it could be lost! To make matters worse the house we had chosen has now been put back on the market, so we could end up being back to square 1, iv never been so disappointed in my life and can't believe what bad service we are receiving, if there is only 1 lady processing the applications then thats a complete joke, the amount of people out there who need jobs why dont they employ someone to do a proper job!
We are going on holiday on saturday so knowing our luck we will receive the letter while we are there and lose our house because someone else got in there first!

  • It is a nightmare situation that causes so much anxiety, the fact that they cannot confirm status etc. I have had my house off the market for nearly 2 months waiting for my purchaser to hear from KHE, people keep telling me to put my house back on the market as I am in danger of losing the house that I want to buy. If KHE could give some sort of indications of when people would hear by it would reduce the stress and worry. How long do we all wait?!

I feel the same way, its only a matter of time before the ppl who we are buying from get fed up and put it back on the market! I agree with the ppl who have written to Watchdog about KHE. If a option to buy using a Government scheme is available the least they can do is make sure its staffed properly. The state of the current housing market and the ludricrous prices that they were, a scheme like this is going to be inundated with ppl who just can;t get on the market any other way, and are fed up with ploughing money into private rents and lining other ppl's pockets! LOl rant over!!

I totally agree with you, KHE is a brilliant idea in principle and I want my purchaser to be successful and I certainly do not want them to lose out on my house. If they could give a timescale for turn around of applications even if it was 3 months, we would all know how long we had to wait. At the moment I am considering dusting down the crystal ball!!

I dont blame them for putting the house back on the market either, apparantly the people we are buying the house off found the house they want and that has also been put back on the market cos its taking too long. I thought this scheme was such a good idea and it is but seems to much trouble for what its worth. We are wasting money on private renting and we could be saving £200 a month, i will let you all know if we ever hear anything back lol

    Hi All

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I have had confirmation from KHE that the current pot of funding has run dry.

Everyone who has been allocated will already be aware and have received this in writing.

There is no indication of when funding will be available again.

I will, of course, maintain my habbit of updating this forum with any news as and when it comes through.

    Thanks

    Matt
  • Matt,

Do you know if we will be told this offically from KHE or will we just be left to waiting.

For some reason im not surprised by this.

I am stil waiting for confirmation from KHE as to exactly how and when they will tell all our clients.

Last time this happened everyone was informed in writing within a week or two of funding running out.

They usually also send out official notification to us as brokers which I haven't had yet, if this brings up anything of importance I will post it on here also.
