only to say dont call us we we call you, that was 2 weeks ago.

Take a look at the previous 10 or so posts , there are funding delays as well as application delays.
  • reading these posts has been very helpful to me , I accepted an offer on our house 8 weeks ago from a couple using the Key homes east scheme , they have still not received their allocated funds letter. Key Homes don't seem to realise the frustration that they are causing , not only to the couple trying to get onto the housing ladder but we could loose the house we wish to buy becuase they will get fed up waiitng. The last I heard today is that they are up to allocations logged on the 20th March.

If anyone gets allocation if woud be great to know , at least then we know that Key homes are doing something.

    Hi

I am in completely the same boat as you regards my purchaser waiting to hear from Key Homes East. It has been weeks now and I feel I have been mislead as when I took my house off the market I was told that the purchaser was ready to proceed, okay I should have looked into Key Homes East and the way it worked but I trusted that we were on our way. I have spent money on solicitors, secured my mortgage fee and had my survey done on the house I want to purchase only to be told last week that my purchaser will not spend any money until he receives confirmation from KHE. Its a great scheme but is causing everyone a lot of anxiety. I find it hard to believe that they cannot give some idea of when funding will be allocated, at least this would give us all some idea of timescales.

    Hi all

The text below is a copy of an email I have just sent to an estate agent. Thought I may as well put the info up here too. Maybe some of you will hear something soon (fingers crossed!!)

Funding has not “dried up” for any area. Keyhomes East were awaiting release of funds to them before they could release this to clients. It would seem they have had some funds released and we are starting to hear about allocations again. Obviously there is no guarantee that there will be enough money to allocate everyone who has requested funds, all we can do with respect to this issue is to be patient and wait for further information from KHE.

I’m not able to confirm exact details for specific clients as Keyhomes have asked that we spend as little time as possible chasing them so that they may spend that time working through the outstanding. Needless to say they are working as quickly as they can to get through the backlog in order.

    Thanks

    Matt

    Hi all,

We've finally received our approval for funding in writing (Yay!) - it's taken exactly 2 months. We've been instructed to start legal proceedings and surveys etc and so I would imagine a few other people on here will hear some good news too over the next few days.

    Good luck!

    Morning all

I have already had calls from 2 clients today who have received their funding letters so it looks as though things a flowing again.

Both these clients had a call from KHE 2 weeks ago to confirm they were getting their funding so if you haven't had this call yet then be aware it may still be a little while before you hear anything.

    Good luck all!!

Did you get a call 2 weeks before form KHE saying you would get funding like it has been suggested above ? When did you send your house details to them ?

We were originally approved for the scheme back in September 08, but we sent our house details and application for funding in on March 10th 09. So all in all, it's been two months from sending housing funding application in and receiving the confirmation of funds.

With regards to the call - we didn't actually receive a call from KHE; we called them to find out what had happened to our wage slips that we sent in (but that was about 2 weeks ago) and they mentioned we had funding and that we would receive written confirmation over the next week.

    Thanks,

    Amberlindsay

Just a quick update - following my post on saturday I had another 2 clients confirm they had their letters of allocation.

I have been able to speak to KHE who have confirmed that more letters will be going out as they work through the piles of allocation requests.

The word as usual is please be patient, they are working through everything as quick as possible but not able to give definite timescales.

I will keep updating the forum as anything develops.

    Cheers

    Matt
