Oh JOY!! Again let down by KHE.. Im not surprised at all... When I called them though she asked me where I lived, I said SUffolk and she basically hinted that NO ONE in Suffolk would have been allocated funding anyway.. So someone please tell me is this another infamous Postcode Lottery??? Would love to hear from anyone in SUffolk who DID get funding...
Back to renting privately and lining some rich fat cats pocket for another year I guess and then apply again... But tell me how quickly do you have to apply in order to get finding????? The very next minute from them saying we have some money??? I'm bitterly disappointed

Im also on the waiting list having been approved of funding, stage 2 I believe the letter called it.

I telephoned KHE this afternoon 4.30 and was also told the funding had run out

I had only phoned to see whether it would be worth me putting in an offer on a house I have found so left feeling gutted now.

Not sure what to do now.

the hardest thing is going back to tell everyone involved we can not proceed . the agency we were dealing with had already stated that they would never accept application from people using this scheme. and even if funding does became available noone wants to sell to us on the openmarket its a way of getting people to buy their new hoes which they can not sell to anyone else and are difficult to resell anyways. what a heart break...._pale_

Does anyone know if the funding from Thames Valley Housing Association has run out?

I am have been appalled by the way this scheme is run - its great in theory but the lack of communication, or different people telling you different things is outrageous.

that is what will happen people will get to hear how long the delays are using this service and will start to refuse ppl using it!! Just think of the thousands of let down ppl both buyers and sellers... we have to let our poor vendor down after them patiently waiting 3 months!!!!! its a shambles... but then thats the government for you really

I know you were being sarcastic (I think), but unfortunately, you would not believe how true your last sentence is. We were informed of the funding availability on the 28th Feb; we only had time to look at two houses and then put an offer in on one of them on the 8th March - we didn't even have time to look at the house properly, it was a case of get the offer in and documents to KHE sharpish because we new what would happen if we didn't.

Anyway suffice to say, it looks like we were one of the last people to receive funding before they ran out of money a few days after we received our funding confirmation letter - we thought we were being pretty quick, but obviously, only just quick enough!

So basically to sum up, this scheme doesn't allow you the good fortune to really choose a house, just to buy a house (and even then, if you're lucky).

I'm really sorry to all of those people who missed out - it happened to us lat year and so know how awful you probably feel :-(
  • What are the chances of funding becoming availabe again soon or even this year?
If funding does become available again soonish, do KHE just pick up where they left off with applications or do we all need to resend applications for funding when funding is back?

who know how things will proceed,
This scheme is an absolute joke from the last letter i received it stated that they would let me know when they were able to take more applications , what they meant to say was "We have too many as it is dont bother sending in ever again"

Reading the posts from other members of this forum you can see quite clearly there is no structured approach to the application process at all.

Thank god im out of it , managed to find enough deposit to buy the conventional route,

Good luck to everyone, those that got the funding and to those that didnt.
    Regards
  • Hello

We got approved for funding a couple of wks ago but have been told that we we cant progress to the next stage until they have cleared the back log. we have found a property and im getting quite concerned now that the funding will run out before they start accepting any new applications.
I was wondering if anyone else was in the same situation or if anyone has any idea when khe may start accepting applications again???

    Thanks
