You do realise that Recorded Deliveryonly provides a signature at the recipient - there's no compensation should it be lost or damaged? I think you had a lucky escape!

Untrue. You don't even need a signature to claim up to £41 compensation.

Posted phone on Saturday (value was £40 so only got a certificate of posting) and money was in my bank yesterday! They were a few pounds less than the best offer but the service outweighed the extra cash

Posted on the Monday, delivered on the Tuesday and the money was in my account before the end of the week. Exactly what was agreed £310 for my iPad 2. Could have got another £9 using a different company in Argos vouchers. But who wants those and to use a company without such a prompt and efficient service. I will definitely use this company again I am very impressed.

Brilliant service from Fonebank - sent off Nokia Lumia 800 special delivery, order acknowledged within a day and paid in two days. £120 in the bank with no problems and cash back from Quidco too.

Used Fonebank to sell to phones. From posting to money in the back was less than a week, with emails letting me know when they arrived, when the payment was agreed and when it was going to be paid. They also paid me exactly what they quoted. Had a little worry when they emailed to say they hadn't received one of the phones even though I posted them together and the other had been received, but after emailing back that it had been sent by a link on the email, I received confirmation of payment within the hour. Great experience will use them again.

Having read some reviews about them I wasn't sure about using them. I decided to go with it and sent off my iPhone 4s recorded delivery. I got a message the next day to say that they were revising the price as there were "network issues". I phoned them and spoke to a very helpful girl who said she would get the phoned rechecked when I explained that it was factory unlocked from Apple and was working fine 2 days before.
True to her word, she phoned back 10 minutes later and said that the phone was fine and the full amount would be in my bank in 2 days. She said that it was entirely their fault in that the phone took longer than usual to r ecognise sim cards and they hadnt given it enoughg time.
Full amount was in my bank 2 days later - no hassle.
Would use again.

We have used them 3 times now, always via Quidco. and they have been spot on every time! Just deciding when to send off blackberry to make it 4th!
