The Sun £20 Holidays. Holiday Park Review thread

  • We booked online the day token 9 was printed so we would get a good choice. We booked a site that was pet friendly on the ukholidaysinthesun website because we have a dog.
I received the booking confirmation today and was told that no pets are allowed if the holiday is booked through a third party. I was on the phone to the park for over an hour speaking to a very abrupt and unhelpful person and still, it is not resolved.
I have tried to contact ukholidaysinthesun website and that is virtually impossible to get through to them.
Result... Now 60 quid out of pocket and god knows how much on my phone bill ringing their 0871 number.

They take your money then change their terms and conditions.

:( what park was this ? you can usually add a pet on for £x ???
  • Woolacombe Bay, it's their 'new' policy this year apparrently. You can only pay extra to take pets if you book straight with them, 3rd party bookings don't allow pets.

Sorry, one more question. Not having children at school, how do I find out what dates coincide with school term time as this is ideally when we would like to book. Places we are looking to potentially book are Weymouth, Norfolk and Devon.
