The Sun £20 Holidays. Holiday Park Review thread

Iv just come back from a £9.50 sun holiday deal at the Seaview Holiday park in sennen, Cornwall. The receptionist/owner of the camp was very rude to me when i did not have a cheque guarantee card as my ban are no longer issuing them and then i had to pay the £20.00 deposit by cash and was then told that i would nly receive £17.00 back as there would be a £3.00 administartion charge and she proceeded to describe to em in detail how much the stamp was, how much it cost them to put the cash in the bank etc etc. I was then asked if i had berought any electirical items with me. So i proceeded to tell her that i had brought my starightners, hair dryer and an iron with me. She then said that i was requiored to pay £3.00 for the iron as i could have hired it from them and therefore i was going to be charged for bringing my own. I was absolutely shocked by this...
The caravan that we were given was clean enough but very old and drafty. The boiler flame was open and there were scorch marks to the boiler cover. There was no carbon monopxide detector within the caravan. The fuse box had not been tested since April 2007 and the toilet seat was falling off. There was also a dirty stain to one of the sibngle beds, which we were fortunately not using. We were charged £7.00 for the bed linene and in total we paid £96.00 for four nights.0 -
I would recommend Le Ranolien in Brittany, just spent Mon - Fri of half term there.
with the accom and the ferry booking we saved over £500 by booking with the SUN !!!
stunning coastline with walks / beaches etc ,plenty of sports onsite and good pools etc ( being refurbed for next yr so will be even better)
we had a 2 bed superior Eurocamp accomodation in a fab spot near the sports courts
close to Roscoff so not much driving to do once in France
will definitely be returning0 -

Ah,- we were just looking at this for next year along with a couple of others in Brittany for next year's half term. Didn't realize it was on the sun holiday list:D
Sounds like you had a great time. We Went to Normandy with Siblu over the Easter hols but fancy Brittany for next year's May half term. Be even better if we can do it with the Sun hols.;)
Great idea for a thread reviewing these hols. we're going to Duinerell in July. will post a review when we get back.
Also, managed to get Wollocombe sands August BH with the sun.
That's two breaks in peak hols saving loads. Cant be bad:rotfl:0 -
gotta love the SUN holidays!
just wish we had discovered them sooner!
enjoy both your holidays

Just come back from 7 nite holiday in Loire Valley France cost us £30 each as we stopped for 7 nite and went in June have to say it was best holiday weve had yet abroad holidays are with euro camp even took the time to travel all the way to paris we also camped to le mans 24 hour race before coming here. Were planning on going to Spa in Belgium next year to watch F1 in September does anyone know if the holidays run in September was looking for 3rd Sept 2012 and if they do any parks in Belgium. The site has shut down now until next year but wanted to know if anyone can help as I'd get a discount booking in advance elsewhere but believe it still wouldnt be cheaper than £120 for us with the sun if they do one there too. Gave up on sun holidays as wan't into Haven holidays and UK beaches being a let down cornwall etc are exceptionally hard to find and always ended up in Yarmouth which is OK but once you've been you don't need to keep going back only so much to do. The Euro holidays our shine the UK ones by miles and will also go on them now. We'll be back in France in 2013 and hope to get a park nearer Euro disney with Euro camp again.0

Yes, Sept dates are available ( the ones that are starting July 2nd are for sept+ breaks)
To see which sites are offered in Belgium click on the "parks" link on this page : https://www.ukholidaysinthesun.co.uk/ ( it wont load for me at the moment so cant look for you!)
We usually do Disney using the SUN holidays now, having stayed @ la Croix Du Vieux Pont 3 times ( an hours drive away) and Le Chene Gris once so far ( 15 mins drive away)
Glad you enjoyed your French Sun holiday :T0 -
I would definately recommend the Loire vally site in France to anyone, go to the zoo and Pay du foy you will be amazed. I can't get the page to load either for parks to check where in Belgium they run, was hoping for somewhere near the sea side there which is ment to be beautiful and just an hour from Brussels. I think they have closed it all down now until they re run them will the ones running for July be for next September or this, as we are stopping with family in August at skegy for a week and just going for a weekend to London also with friends. We don't have plans for any other holidaysabroad now until September 2012. Does anyone know any independent sites that review the sun holidays at all? We are hoping to go to the one you mention you'd be to 3 times in 2013 if the sun are still running these offers, was thinking of going this year, but decided to stay in Loire as it was closer to le mans but definately go to Euro disney next time, Pay du Fo was just as expensive as Euro disney for the day as we stayed for the night show also but definately worth it.0
