yes i can use a pc and use my car BUT not without sever pain. walking for me is like walking on broken glass or hot coals im in constant pain. my pain stems from my hip so bending standing sitting most movements you make have an effect on your hip. the slightest bit of movement causes me sever pain. somedays im in so much pain i physicaly can not get out of bed! have you ever seen a football pllayer go down on the putch clutuching in agony? thats the kind of pain i experiance the pain where you just want to curl up into a ball and hope it stops the kind of pain where its so bad no matter where you where it could be raining and you could be in the middle of the street and all you would want to do is lay down on the floor. belive me i had done such a thing in public. until you have lived a day in my life and experianced the pain i go through plz dont tell me what i can and canot do. forcing me to work is plaine cruel. i cant take much more of this i just want some peace i would do anything for a pain free day this thread has made me feel 100x worse about everything im crying out and nobody is hearing me im just been shoved to the side hes ok we will find something we can make him do dosent matter that hes in constant agony his arms work thats all that matters.:o

You will not be forced into work. The aim is to help you towards work.
You say you are going to "finish it" but I notice you have now posted on another forum as you have not received the answers you wanted here.
I thanked your post in error.0 -
some of the people on here are so ignorant its unreal! i sufffer chronic pain and i would like to see aynone on here suffer from it and go to work! most people never in their life will experiance chronic pain think the wost pain you have ever had and time it by 10 and remove the adrennalin that numbs the pain as we aint lucky enought to have the adrennilin 24.7 if somebody with chronic pain dosent want to work then the bloody well shouldent have too! its hard enough getting a job when your fit and well who is going to want to employe somebody that struggles to walk get out of bed in the mornings. may suddely have to stop work due to pain etc. its a dam discrace theese people are been told to look for work.
jox go ahead and appeal dont let them win..0 -

They are not being 'told' to go back to work. The aim of ESA is to guide them and help them back into work in the long run. Don't get me wrong, I'll admit I have never suffered chronic pain, nor would I wish it on anybody but at 24 i sure as hell wouldn't want to be written off from ever working again.Hanny:easter_ba0

i am on highrate mobility and care dla. the dla doctor who came to visit me was very nice and did and exeelent report for me but this women i cant belive she has been so sneekys a
also i didnt read or sighn anything
OP, are you saying you are on High rate mobility and High Rate Care - If so, iirc you probably don't actually need to be going through all this - I think high rate dla care still qualifies you for Income support without getting into ESA or IB assesments.

chron⋅ic
1. constant; habitual; inveterate: a chronic liar.
2. continuing a long time or recurring frequently: a chronic state of civil war.
3. having long had a disease, habit, weakness, or the like: a chronic invalid.
4. (of a disease) having long duration (opposed to acute ).
As you can see from above chronic has no bearing on severity. I've has asthma for 30+ years. I have chronic asthma. I work full time, I exercise, I walk the dog I live my life how I choose to. Chronic does not mean severe. It is entirely possible to have chronic pain and lead a relatively normal life. I know someone who has a birth defect that gives him pain pretty much 24 hours a day. Doesnt stop him doing anything he sets his mind to.
Coming out with statements like "chronic pain. Look it up" are pretty meaningless really.0 -
Trashy - if the pain is such as described by OP then it is clearly enough to prevent work - please try reading things in context.0

Thank you for that. I have heard a consultant say that the word is often used incorrectly and since then I have noticed it myself.0
