The Sun £20 Holidays. Discussion thread

  • I have been going on holiday with my family using The Sun £9.50 holidays for 5 years now. The holidays are great and fantastic value, especially as it is difficult to book any where cheaply with 3 kids, but this year (and last year) the tokens have not been published in the News of the World or The Sun in the Northern Ireland editions of the paper. Because I have been in the past I qualify for priority booking which means I only need to collect 8 tokens instead of the 10. I e-mailed the paper to say the tokens are not in and they have told me to send the front page title with the date. As this is posted, we lose our priority booking and will probably not get our choice of location and dates. This happened last year aswell!

    Hi,
If you have a priority booking form, you can book the holiday online. Therefore you don't need the actual tokens, just the codes on the tokens ;).

Why not collect the ones you can, then read this forum regularly, where kind moneysavers usually post the code words.

Use these code word to book your holiday.
I've done this twice now - thanks moneysavers

you have to join the ( huge) queue !

Nice of you to register to ask though ....
  • This might be a stupid question :) Is there a token today and if so, where? It would be Token 17, today's sun is pimping theme park tokens instead. The Sun's website is a bit of a mess, a lot of info refers to previous years, but it did say there would be 22 tokens in all. Maybe the Sun is just taking a break for a day or two? I know sometimes the tokens switch to other papers but I didn't see any today.
  • HAVE A LOOK ON NEWSPAPER THREAD, usually post codes daily, link below; today is DIVE

i did read all i could, checked the website, but still was not expecting an additional £81.80,already paid £48, as there are five of us, including a 1year old. i actually phoned haven before i booked to check the upgrade that i was paying for.was told would include 3 bedrooms. now been told that my 10yr old son and 8 year olds daughter have to share a room and baby must sleep in the lounge as cot wont fit in bedrooms! great holiday! first in 11years and bed at 7pm..:eek:
also being charged £27.80 for power. maybey i am wrong but isnt it illegal to sell electricity at a profit unless you are a power company, even we couldnt use £28 worth of electric in three days!!!:mad::mad::mad:

this should have been stated ?

why have Haven backtracked and now not given you a 3 bed? ( not the SUN's fault !)

statics are a bit of a mare when you have babies in a cot!
sometimes the single beds are not fixed and you can up end one and place a travel cot in its place...

or you can put a bed guard on and put them to sleep in the bed ?

or get a pop up travel cot and use on top of the bed?

trying to find a positive ..... have you made a saving ? :)
