For future refernce when claiming a large amount, speaking doesnt usually lead anywhere, get straight in there with your first letter (prelim letter requesting repayment, if you know the charges). Good luck!Littlewoods catalogue - won back charges of £300 by default.

HSBC - requested 1700 offered 1445 - going to say no thank you I want it all - or am I being greedy ?
Capital One - still not sure whether to take it to the court stage as they have given me back 8.00 of every 20.00 they have charged me the outstanding amount between me and OH amounts to 150.00 so not sure whether to go for it as heard that CC are harder than banks to get your money back
GE money - charges on late payments and final reminder letters amounting to 210 - this was on a loan from them - they have refused point blank to pay us anything back - any advise on load companies and getting your charges back or is this a no no
Mint still waiting
Citibank want the ins and outs - proof of identity and a have to complete a form before they wil entertain me
any suggestions would be greatly received0 -
Sorry - this has probably been asked and answered before but don't have time to go through 130 pages as baby's nap nearing its end...
I closed my joint account with RBS a couple of years ago, partly because I thought their charges were unreasonable. Am I still able to make a claim even though I don't have the leverage of being able to take my business elsewhere? It would only be a couple of hundred I think, but I could really do with that at the moment... Thanks for any advice!0 -

You can claim back up to 6 years ago, be that on an open or a closed account. So go for it and good luck!Littlewoods catalogue - won back charges of £300 by default.

Hi Guys,
I'm going to as a question that has probably been asked a thousand times so i apologise in advance, but i'm at work so i can't flick thru 1000's of pages
Got my tatty envelope through the ost this morning of my 6 years of statements.
Now i have on there:
Charges for unpaid DD's
Charges for something else
Referal fee's of £25 a pop
and interest charges.
Can i claim back all of these?
Looking through them a couple of times i was charged £38 for an unpaid DD and i had over £2000 in the bank   How does that work0
