Lucy have you looked on the consumer action group website? There's step by step instructions on there. Really clear and simple and lots of people who know what they're talking about. Pls help im going round the bend
No you shouldnt wait for them you must stick to your own timescale. If you say they must comply in 14 days, on the 14th day the next letter goes off, even if they have replied to say they need more time. You did not say they must reply, but comply. Same with getting ready for making the moneyclaim claim, you must be ready on the 14th day to make the claim unless they have offered you the full amount. Do not wait for them. Your second letter should have gone off to them on the 12th October and you would have been at the moneyclaim stage in 2 days! So get your LBA off today/tomorrow.Littlewoods catalogue - won back charges of £300 by default.

Some advice please.
Im claiming £1,600 in charges from Lloyds, I did a claim online with the court and Lloyds Aknowledged it which gave them extra 28 days. Well thats up today and ive been online and the court is now setting a date.
So Im a little worried, what do I say if I do have to go into court. I know its not happened yet but you nether no
Thanks

There is support on the CAG site for people who have had court dates set. By the way, for the information of those who havent done this yet, and just to clear a littel thing up, acknowledgement does not give them an extra 28 days to respond, it gives them an extra 14 and a total of 28 to respond. Be aware of this so you can get your judgement in on the 28th/29th day, as the courts are allowing late defences. i have refered to the webisite but find all that really confusing so now they had there 14days should i send another letter even though they havent replied? Sorry i struggle with understanding all this im severly dyslexic0

Yes the Letter Before Action (LBA) goes off now, that will be in the templates bit of CAG (I am assuming you have just sent off the preliminary approach for repayment). You should not necessarily expect a reply. As soon as you know that has been recieved (send it by recorded post) start counting down the 14 days. When they are up you start the moneyclaim action, even if they have asked for more time, they can't have it (they wouldnt give you more time to pay a debt now would they!?). Hope this helps do not hesitate to ask for more help!Littlewoods catalogue - won back charges of £300 by default.

I have a quick question! Does this also work for past bank accounts? I had an ongoing debt with Halifax - had loads of charges to pay (not my fault) - so they closed my account! Will I still be able to claim back these charges?0

Yes as long as you arent trying to claim past 6 years ago!Littlewoods catalogue - won back charges of £300 by default.

Hi,
I am in the process of claiming bank charges through the Bank of Scotland and am now at the stage of filling in a claim though the moneyclaim website. I have just noticed however that myself and my bank must have an address in England or Wales.
Can anyone please help with the next step for me as I live in Scotland and my bank's head office is in Scotland.
Cheers
