Charges for going overdrawn, denied direct debits, bounced cheques, etc. Only interest if it is on an overdrawn balance that is so because of charges levied to your account. How do you mean commission? For what?
Littlewoods catalogue - won back charges of £300 by default.

All opinion/help/interpretation is given totally impartially and is not intended to be taken as financial advice in any way, all final decisions must be your own. Good luck!
  • Background: I asked for the statements for the past six years and posted off the letter with a cheque. They returned the cheque saying that this is a free service.
There is no explination of "For What" the charge is titled 'commission for period 02 jun/ 7 sep' £175.70. This seems to appear ALMOST every quarter and the amount varies from £2 to £175 over the past six years.
  • Can you tell us which bank this is from as someone may be able to help with this.

Hi, is this an irish bank?
  • Yes of course. Barclays.
  • No this is a leafy, home counties, English Bank
  • Going back to the lobster/edin conversation....Martin's site is excellent, but with my claim I was after a little bit of help that was more personal to my situation. Consumer Corner offer this. The CAG website is good for reading case studies and general advice but CC give a more personal response. When people are asking for help, it seems to be that they are looking for advice that is not included in Martin's article, as the article itself is a basic outline of the steps that are needed to be taken. Hope I am not treading on anyones toes with this, but Consumer Corner ( I have no affiliation with them) really are the best site to get a personal response.Thanksg1W
    LBM 12.09.12 - £53K in debt.
    DFD - 11.07.2019 (OMG).
New DFD is 28.10.2018 due to paying the absolute maximum.

Thanks to everyone on the DMP forum, and to SC for helping me out of this huge hole.
