Hi there,
I'm new to all this and thinking about claiming for charges agaisnt the HSBC. The thing is, I'm currently on a Debt Management Plan with the CCCS, and my HSBC account has been passed over to a debt management company, who are happy with what I'm paying back. How does this affect my claim? CAN I still claim, since I'm still in debt? If I'm successful, where will the money go? Straight into my HSBC account? In which case, will it be passed on to the DMC, or will I be able to access it?
Sorry if it's a bit of a long post, and also if these points have already been answered, but the search facility threw nothing up and my eyes started to hurt after about 12 pages!

hi yes you can still claim, and the account becomes in dispute once you start your claim so if they kick up a fuss about dmp you can just refuse to pay anything allthough still better off paying as per now.
it depends at which stage they pay as to where the money will go;)0 -
Hi,
Letter to HSBC is typed up to HSBC, but I've seen so many different addresses to send it to? Does anyone have the definitive address? Or is it just a case of sending it to your local branch? Any help would be much appreciated0 -
Hello everyone ...
Do not regularly get charged bank charges ... over the years have had a few payments bounced for payments trying to leave before wages paid in ... but I know I have had charges which may total £200 or so
I have tried unsuccessfully so far to claim one recent one back from egg ...
Could I please ask ....
Are there only certain types of charges you can reclaim?
How far can you go back?
How do you ask them to list them?
Is it only Bank Accounts? ...
Is there a link to the Policy that upholds this?
Many thanks in advance ...
Kindest Regards

Hi everyone,
I am in the process of helping someone reclaim their bank charges. She has sent off and recieved her account details for the last 6 years and we have been going through them.
Some of the charges are obvious, "unautherised overdraft fee" and "returned direct debit". She has also been charged "overdraft interest", I am assuming this is her overdraft interest rate (interest she pays for being overdrawn) - can we claim for this too? I see some of the standard letters include requests for interest charges so wondered if that is what we can claim for.
Many thanks0 -

hi all,
i have a query, i am posting about going over my balance on a solo card, it was a withdrawral of £100, this was paid back the very next day, today i get a letter stating a overdraft fee of £25 which will be deducted on the 25th of october, do i have a case of reducing or not having to pay the fee ?
im with HSBC, any helpful advice would be appreciated0 -
Hi everyone,
I have received my last 6 years computer statements of my account after my first contact letter - they seem to be being very helpful which makes me worry they know more than me and I am going to look a bit of a fool!!
(Maybe paranoia has just set in!)
I am a bit unsure which charges can be reclaimed! I have just waded through the paperwork and there are not as many as I thought - I think the charges were about 7 years ago which is typical! However I do have a few hundred so probably still worth trying to get these back, can anyone tell me which of these I can claim for?
I have the following...
Charges capitalised (I presume yes)
overdraft fee
cheque clearance charge
unpaid direct debit charge (I presume yes)
unauthorised overdraft charge (I presume yes?)
Has anyone else had any luck with Norwich & Peterborough building society?
Thankyou0 -
I'm currently pursuing the Abbey in the final stages for £4111.05 including interest and costs etc, they have just wrote back to me, about 2 weeks into their 28 day court notice, saying they refuse to pay and they have already credited my account with £1200 (which i wrote and refused) and they will not be giving the full amount ever.
Is this just a scare tactic, i feel that it was but just wanted to check with you guys, what to do next????
Thank you in advance - you are all greattttttt!0
